Angry Birds Seasons Arctic Eggspedition Level 1-3 Walkthrough

Angry Birds Seasons Arctic Eggspedition level 1-3 was first available on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013. Our strategy for this level is to send the Blue bird towards the first top pigs, and split midway. Then fling Yellow high through the ropes so that he lands on the angled wood plank holding the boulders to the right. The resulting cascade should clear the remaining pigs. the score in the video below is 128,220.

My slightly refined strat so I will mark it in blue
@Mvnla2 Aim the blues at the left first small pig. Split immediately. Ideally the top blue will take out most if not all of the suspended pigs and the ropes.
Shot two. YB approx 45 deg and accelerate at the apex for a flat shot at the top right plank tip between the boulders. YB will flip up after breaking it behind that boulder pile and follow them down.
For high scores all of the boulders must go into the water for debris points.

Again there is a one birder here if you can get the ropes to break in such a way that the sleigh swings into the tower before breaking away. I haven’t managed to get the trajectory for all the top pigs and that too…..yet.

@mvnla2 I had almost the exact same strategy. I shot the second bird straight up to go through the top pig and more of the rope and then hit the plank stuck between the boulders on top. Also, with the blue birds, I found it works best when the pig hanging from the sled sways and actually hits the wood on the first tower to help it collapse. Two birds remain. I don’t think a one birder will get you many more points. Getting the top boulders to fall with the others gave me a lot more points.

I was trying to get a highscore and after my first bird was shot, the tree hit the right structure, causing it to fall. There were 2 pigs left however, so the ‘sleigh swinging into the tower’ is possible! I have a picture:

http://angrybir.de/1eKjAGs

But, here’s the strange part. I cleared the level but did not get enough points, and the level took quite some time to end, I then used the mighty eagle, but when I was about to launch it, the level ended! The victory cheer was playing, and my sardine can was still at the slingshot!

My recollection of exactly what happened is not that precise (I was too surprised watching the score to take a screenshot), but here is what i remember:
The first shot was nothing spectacular; I
aimed the blues at the left first small pig and split immediately. The first tower was still intact.Points about 35k.

Second shot is the crucial one: YB 45 deg and then accelerate and go for the far right side. YB did not hit the plank directly though, instead YB and the plank flipped and came crashing down with the boulder pile. All boulders came down in a big splash, crushing all debris in the water.

I think the difference this time was the speed at which the boulders fell. If too slow; lower scores.

Good luck everyone!

I also think it helps if the sleigh takes out the long vertical wood at the side of the tower, but not knock any more of it over so the boulders can be hit from the ones from above. Mind you, I can’t get past 133k so far so I could be completely wrong. ;)

I came here, hoping for a better strategy than mine, and I see the best scoring player is doing the exact same thing..its about the timing on the splitting of the blue bird as well as the aim. For all those still flinging.
I finally got a decent score as seeing all those potential points sitting on the hill just kept making me mad. So here’s what I have done.
First bird like @cali_mom ‘s pic. First blue takes out the dangling string by the sling, middle blue grazes the rest and cuts the rope above the first top left pig *and* does not drop the sleigh, and the lower does squat. You want the sleigh to bump the tower but NOT topple it. The sleigh needs to drop straight down and sit between the ice berg and the ice ball.
YB it critical here. There is a seam in snow in the background below the sling. Put the YB nose just touching the seam. Accelerate at the apex so that the YB travels mostly flat just above the suspended parka pig or even through the top of it, to the plank between the boulders. Ideally you want the plank and YB to flip up pushing those boulders down en masse. The best scores happen when they all come down with significant speed. If they trickle down, it won’t cause enough collision damage. And yes they need to hit the sleigh as much as possible. On my current score the sleigh was pinned down by the boulders. 1000’s of flings to get this so far.
Another note, the ropes, while important, are not key here. Each little segment is only worth 50 points, so if you leave a little behind it will not make much difference.

Rank: Boss Hog with 14935 points
By swellD (@swelld)Score: 141,050

One other thing that seems key here is that the parka pig sitting on the boulder pile makes a big difference too. If the YB flips and hits it before the top boulders come down, they hit the top of the stack much harder and thusly impart more impetus to the collapse.

That’s what I observed too.
