Angry Birds Rio Market Mayhem Walkthrough Level 16 (14-1)

One strategy for Market Mayhem level 14-1 is to send the Blue bird straight ahead, popping all marmosets within the left structure. Now blast the central tower with a Yellow bird and watch the chaos ensue. The score in the video below is 94,940.

Excatly as in the video clip! Just got very lucky with both TNT’s…they fell to the very bottom on both sides and then exploded!

It is a hard shot, and alot of luck involved, but for those dedicated flingers out there, here is a cool 1-birder and a high scoring stragegy:

Aim to hit the wood on the left side of the middle structure with the Blue Bird. If you get lucky enough then the wood will collapse sending the two mini-tnt’s into the base of both the left and right structure.

This strategy requires very good aiming to find the sweet spot, and two different places where extreme luck is needed, to get the wood to break in the correct manor, and for the wo mini-tnt’s to fall in the 100% right places.

Enjoy, my fellow flingers:P

That “wo” should be 2, lol;)

Yes, that’s the strat I used to get my highscore of 115k.

Thanks again for the strategy @angermanagement!

I haven’t yet made a good 1-birder, but your strategy can also lead to a decent 2 bird score:

If the first bird doesn’t break the wood, but slightly cracks it, send the yellow bird on the same trajectory *without* tapping the screen. This can have the same result as a one birder, albeit fewer points, though I did manage 102k.

I still haven’t managed a decent 1-birder going for the middle. I finally got one with the 45 degree angle shot, but split the birds almost immediately instead of half way like others below (tried and tried it that way, came close, but no luck).

@angermanagement, you are completely correct in your first two assessments, but let me tell you, it sure fells good when it works right after only five attempts. Congratulations my friend, you’ve hit upon the mother lode. Thank you. Ciao.

Sorry, “fells” should be “feels” good.

Looks like we could both use some intensive therapy.

A different strategy that gave me 101k:

Aim first blue at about 45 degrees, split about half way. The two lower birds should clear the glass at the top of the middle structure but not detonate either of the TNTs. It is important that the wooden platform is exposed.

Second bird high, accelerate at the wooden platform on the central structure. The two halves will start to fall apart. With some luck, the two TNTs will fall down to the base of the left and right structure and wipe them clean.

I was trying this method, rather badly I guess because I totally missed & ended up with a 1-birder. I was aiming lower, so that the blue bird passed at the level of the 1st lower window of the building in shadow past the slingshot (zoomed out). I split them as they reached the 1st window, the lower 2 hit the top of the 1st structure & the top 1 hit the left TNT. It blew the middle structure right, pushing the right TNT & debris over to take down the right structure, but then some of the debris ended up getting pushed back left to cascade down on the left structure & destroy it.
I’ve repeated it a couple of times with lower scores, but I think other methods may be more reliable.
I know there are more points to be had here but for me this was the most annoying level so far, time to move on.

That might be what happened with me. I was getting bored with getting no results with @angermanagement ‘s one birder so I just flung one without paying much attention to where it was going or where I activated. The results were much like what @karen68 describes, just more destruction. Maybe a pretty good strat after all……..

Thanks for posting your strategy @karen68. The one bird solution worked well in obtaining a score above average. Finding the dark window in the background was hard to see. Needed the debris from the middle structure to roll to the left to finish off the left structure. The challenge of this level was to obtain an above average score.

For some reason this was the hardest level for me to get TD on. The key seems to be taking out the palm tree. I’ve found most of the MM levels to be quite easy to TD: lots of them can be done with the ME alone without any prior destruction.

My best success using the most excellent strategy posted by @AngerMamagement involves using the following “fire point”. (As opposed to “aiming point” what I mean by “fire point” is where I position the cursor prior to releasing the shot.) On the PC platform the cursor is the “magic hand”, normally open with a pointing index finger and in a closed fist when the sling shot is retracted and I presume that is the same on the other platforms also.

I have had consistently good success positioning the top of the closed fist entirely inside the stone base, and snug to the upper left corner of the stone structure that the slingshot is mounted on. Once you’re “dialed in”, then play with moving the fist slightly to the left to as far as the top middle of the fist being positioned exactly at the corner.

Link to a screenshot of the closed fist cursor position:

Equally important is to split the Blue Bird immediately prior to impacting the lower wooden post of the middle structure. So close to impact in fact that often the signal won’t get to Blue Bird in time who will then hit the post without splitting (which is a “throw away” shot of course).

Good Luck ~ Uncle B
