Angry Birds Rio Market Mayhem Walkthrough Level 3 (13-3)

One strategy for Market Mayhem level 13-3 is to toss the Boomerang bird over the high structure, spinning it back into the bottom to destroy the entire thing. The falling boulders should most of the level, though a one-bird clear is possible. Otherwise, blast any pesky monkeys with a White bird. The score in the video below is 99,750.

Zoomed out alignh first bird’s tail so that it can be seen in the window light near sling! Launch and at the reverss action aim to hit the third from the top, thin, long horizontal wooden plank of the second top tower!just above the wrecking ball! This will push some of the top structure to topple left and some debris will fall down the gap, above wrecking ball! Bird should also fall in the gap to help brake the bottom right fruit crate! And that hanging bushy fruit thingy is worth 3k! This is one birder!

I believe there’s a real gem of a lesson in this level: always make sure you get “that hanging bushy fruit thingy!” In other words, don’t neglect the low-hanging fruit. Thanks @communistpride (!) – Aloha.

Hello @surfcow, now that would be one heck of a sight…a cow on a surfboard doing the pipeline. I noticed that although it’s a rare occurrence, doing the shot as the walkthrough video shows actually gets you a 1 bird kill and some pretty decent scores. As far as the “bushy fruit thingy” goes…at my age I wouldn’t mind one every once in a while. Ciao.

105k one-birder. I aimed higher than in the video and came in at a steeper angle. Hit the structure at more or less the same place, but didn’t cause so much initial destruction. Rather, the structure fell more slowly at first.

A one-birder and topscore for the time being. Higher scores must be possible. I launched the bird just above the high tower and hit the small board above the hanging ball, nothing special. Did get the hanging “bushy fruit thing” @surfcow I think it is a flower from a banana tree. I have a picture somewhere but not on this computer, must see if I can find it.

I see the same benefit pointed out by @josephine almost a year ago. I actually got my 4k improved score to over 107k early last night on this challenge. Not a puppy but i did move way up in the board for this level. I kept in trying for more off and in today bit we were visiting family so i had to put my phone down. One hour and on to next challenge.

Not the high score, but a much easier way to get a decent score: fling bird just above the left bolder. Debris falls to the left, destroying this part, the other bolder falls down. Note: not every shot is guaranteed, but score is going up and up. Happy flinging. Like this game.

We all have pretty much tne same strategy with different spots to aim for. I have been trying to hit the vertical board next to the hanging ball. If the left boulder rolls off the shelf you should get a decent score.

A reverse remi will give a one birder. I’m not sure it is any easier, or gives a higher score though. You need to hit just above the big round stone.

I’m working on a strategy that may have the potential to return those much needed “extra points” on this level. There is an quite a lot that can, and does, go wrong to prevent achieving the 1-birder goal of the strategy ~ but I’ve come ever so close to Great Success on several occasions to remain hopeful that it’s indeed possible to achieve. So I thought I’d share the concept should anyone else care to give a try at making it work ~ if you do please share the results.

The strategy focuses on the large crate on top of the rock structure at the far right. Inside the crate are strawberries worth 500-points apiece and when completely destroyed the crate and strawberries are worth 3,750-points total ~ those are the “extra points” the strategy is trying to collect either in whole or in part. Toss the Boomerang Bird at the crate and tap the screen to return Hal right before impact with the goal of having Hal crack open the crate in a “punch-like” manner so to speak, to release the strawberries and then have Hal roll back down the hill.

Most times Hal will hang-up on top of the hill and then evaporate, but perhaps 1 in 10 tries he’ll roll back down the hill along with some or all of the strawberries. When he does come back down the hill it must be with enough force to topple the wood / stone structure to achieve the same results as in the walk-through video with the addition of destroying as many of the just released strawberries as possible. Often Hal doesn’t roll down the hill with enough force and just comes to rest against the vertical leg ~ or he does and the left side of the structure and loose stone ball will fall as intended but the chained ball doesn’t drop. In my “failures closest to success” everything works ALMOST perfectly just as shown in the walk-through with the exception of either having the highest of the lower level marmosets remaining (the one under the loose stone ball and upper structure) ~ or when I got all of the marmosets, that darn “hanging bushy fruit thing” remained leaving those “must have” 3K points on the table. My highest score using the strategy was a couple hundred points under my current best score of 134.300 that was achieved using the video walk-through method. On all occasions I completed the level using the “Crack the Crate” method there were a number of wood pieces remaining that could have yielded additional points and I’ve never gotten all of the un-crated strawberries, which is why I think if some of those additional points could be scored the method could possibly bag the Level High Score.

Best of Luck to any willing to give “Crack the Crate” a try!

20 hrs into Challenge & I got to within 2k of a puppy; this level is a little tough, so I’m happy with this score (so far.) I managed to improve over 3k from Android phone’s 103000 to 106840 on iPad.

Like @josephine I see the best potential by aiming to just clear the tower. As I pass the small stone in upper right corner, I activate to come back & if the launch angle is correct, it cuts through the thin horizontal wooden bars. Not only did things fall right & left, but some wooden debris fell into the gap with fruit for extra destroyed wood points. It looked like this:
