Angry Birds Jurassic Pork Level 36-4 Walkthrough

In our 3-bird 3-star walkthrough below, we start by waiting. Once the batty pigs start flying back to the right, launch Blue high and split wo that the blues and the rocks in the nets come down and set off the near TNT and start a chain reaction which takes out most of the center and right wide. Stella straight to take out the last remaining pig and toss a few dino-rocks around. Before the level times out, send matilda in a 45 degree angle to drop her egg in the middle and take out the two flying pterodactyls for more points. I know one admin who is tickled pink to leave Terrance in the sling for 10K! 139K is the result.

@wrw01 I got 156k with 2 birds. I’ve never cracked 150 using 4. My first shot was the same as in the walkthrough and the net landed so that the tnt’s took out all the pigs and pterodactyls, which is just blind luck, as well as leave excellent destruction of the right structure.
Then stella quickly goes in a long arc to the rubble, specifically where there’s a small elevation in the floor so she can pick up 3 of those square stone blocks and both boulders if you’re lucky. This left me with 136k + 20k bonus.

Thank you kindly for the post. That was an outstanding strategy.

Tried it for a few days and was able to accomplish the first shot like you stated with all the destruction. I got so excited that I overshot the target with Stella. Have not been able to do it again but I am satisfied because there is a sweet spot for dropping the net and getting into the 150k range. I see you and others in the scoreboard have found it. For this level being above average is fine. Time to move on the level 5.

Update: 160240/4. First bird lofted high, taking out the flying pigs, the net, and the left pterodactyl. The main target beyond that was the bone above or below the left block under the TNT. Hitting either of these collapses the middle structure, and, if the AB gods are smiling upon you, flying debris flings the left TNT into the far left structure, destroying it as well. The second shot was also lofted high into the middle of the lower platform, lifting as much as possible there. Third bird in a medium arc, dropping the bomb into the debris on the middle platform and taking out the remaining two pterodactals (if no pteros left, find the biggest debris pile and bomb it). Fourth bird in a low arc, hoping it will plow through the remaining debris on the far right. Lots of near misses with this strat, but it paid off eventually. Hope this helps!

Update 162070/4. Main change was in the first shot. Instead of launching at about 7 o’clock, I went with 730 or 8 o’clock. Instead of splitting immediately, I waited just a trice. It looks like the net will be largely missed, but the middle and right birds take out the net and piggies, while the left bird hopefully falls and takes out the left piggie and/or TNT. However, if it doesn’t one can take Matilda on the third shot and arc it very high, dropping the bomb at the last second just to right of the left piggie shelter. The rebounding Matilda then can take out any remaining pteros. The second and fourth shots remain unchanged.

sorry for responding late @steviep147 , i’ve switched off al notifications.

it’s been some time (somewhere in January 2018) since i played this level but from what i remember, i was sending the 1st (blues) on the change of direction (from moving left to moving right) of the net, splitting immediately to take that down, the 2nd (stella) in a high arc to lift the stones on the left in the valley (they should be exposed by the 1st) dropping them to the right, the 3rd (matilda) in a steep arc just over the (remnants of the) top-left structure dropping its egg low taking out the stone (and structure) and such that the carcass takes out the pterodactyls (if any; the further to the left they are, the easier that is, so time your shot), and the 4th (terence) low, as shown in the screen shot to the stones on the right hoping it slices through.

the last shot is the money (and low-percentage) shot. in the case of my best score terence caused a lot of damage, when slicing through was activated by (i think) it hitting some pterodactyl-debris left on top of the stones on the far right. but even in cases it didn’t slice through very far, scores above 160k were not infrequent (had at least 10 of those before hitting 175k).

from the level comprising a lot of stones and the available birds (stella, matilda and terence all go well with stones, on a good day) it is clear that the best scores should be obtainable with all (4) birds, if one can manage to access all the stones; that’s the reason for using stella in the way described (the stones on the bottom-left in the valley are not accessible otherwise, i think).

btw because of the above i didn’t and don’t understand andy’s rather incredulous reaction above to rll’s score, especially not because rll has been one of the top players for a long time, way longer than andy; of course one may always ask for evidence (of the score; providing a strategy was always the player’s decision), no problem with that, but please be polite and respectful and make sure you do yourself what you demand of others: here, it’s imo a case of the pot calling the kettle black as andy did not provide any evidence of many of his top scores (only recently he has taken to do so), e.g. just in the jurassic pork episode his (then) top scores at levels 36-10, 37-9, 37-15 are without description. in fact, even for this particular level, 36-4, he only provided a (rather poor) description of his 158k (then top-)score upon being prompted by you and /after/ questioning rll’s score.)

Maybe when I retire I’ll have time to revisit and match those high scores. At the end of the day the more you can play, the luckier you will be, and nail those higher scores in most AB levels.

ditto here, but try to compensate having a more than full-time job (so little time to play) and a technically inferior platform (playing with my fingers on an ipad without any aids; e.g. no recording or automatic (re)positioning/shooting) by being more creative on strategies. for this episode i obtained almost all my scores by strats different (sometimes in details, but different) from the ones described in the comments by others. just to see whether the grinders would find them on their own, decided this time around not to give my strats away (did give some clues and screenshots).

Trying to catch back up after losing ALL of my previous AB scores! And WOW there are some truly unbelievable high scores, even way above the mighty @asher without explanation, screenshots or video? Where are @admins with this as so many scores that simply can’t be valid.

Anyway, back to catch up flinging when I can to get scores back on the board.

What the hell is auto reshoot/positioning? surely that can’t be allowed? I screen record, but only to validate my scores then post a video if a high score.

can relate to struggling with eyesight, but not to losing scores (for the past 5 years have been playing on ipad air; if it were to stop working i would lose all my scores; no backup as it’s not a critical device)

wrt reshoot/positioning: on any programmable device, like a pc, the mouse action can be automated (cf. remouse, hotkey(s); in the pc version of abo it was even built in that you could press some key to repeat exactly the same shot) to varying degrees. it’s not hacking or something; it doesn’t change the program/angry birds, it treats it as a black box, and so is neither detectable by the scores nor by screenshots. compare it to using a stylus, getting a higher-resolution device, recording, or putting markers on your screen; all tools i’ve read about in comments that are used by people to improve their precision. also none of these are detectable. are these allowed? that depends on the rules (given where/by whom?), but disallowing them would be rather hard to enforce (cf. the use of computers in on-line chess), infeasibly hard imo. so decided to play in my own way and not be bothered by others (but also to keep pointing out that, that the playing field is not level: despite the scoring potential being the same, this being a game of statistics tools improving precision do make a (lot of) difference in scoring speed (ks/hour))

Anyhow, as discussed with @steviep147 I’m enjoying the challenge of replaying all of the episodes once again.

As for using tools other than flinging fingers without power ups! I find it quite sad as I’m old school & grew up playing Atari OG games before Sega.

I don’t even spend time lining birds up in the sling. “Tail feathers just touching the tree branch” etc

I just aim and fire with my dodgy eyesight and adjust accordingly. That’s what makes AB so great!

Back to Surf n Turf now. Happy Flinging

Anyway, as no new OG AB esisodes available and that fact that I’m old school and AB2 is woeful in every way IMO I am enjoying the challenge of replaying every earlier episode once again from scratch.
