You heard it here first! Raise your hand if you remember who Heikki Kovalainen is. *One… Two…* OK, not too many, but some of you do, which is good. For those who don’t, Heikki Kovalaainen is a Finnish Formula One driver who is currently sporting an extraordinarily awesome Angry Birds helmet. We mentioned him and showed you his helmet a couple months ago.
In that post, we said:
Rovio has also partnered with Finnish Formula One driver Heikki Kovalainen, according to the racer’s website. This collaboration not only features Kovalainen in a nifty new helmet, but will also merchandise and a new Angry Birds web based game. […] The new web game will be launching sometime in the summer and will likely feature some cool level designs.
With the summer quickly approaching, and thanks to some clever sleuthing by @alfredhartojo, we present the official web app site: heikki.angrybirds.com. The site states that the app will start on June 18th, 2012, and of course we will post when it does and try to get walkthroughs online as quickly as possible. In the meantime, be sure to keep an eye on the many links included on the Heikki Angry Birds site, including Kovalainen’s personal website, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages.
Update: The launch was delayed until June 25th.
