A brand new Angry Birds GO update is out now that adds local multiplayer over Wi-Fi — AKA — Party Mode! Check out the video above as my daughter and I take local multiplayer for a test drive.
No need to Go! it alone – Local Multiplayer is here! Grab a friend, get on the same Wi-Fi network, and go head-to-head in furious downhill kart races in the all-new Party Mode. The party’s over here, y’all!
It’s simple — really simple. First, be sure you’re all running v1.7.0 and are on the same Wi-Fi network. From there, tap the new blue local mulitplayer icon and either join an existing party (game) or tap “New Party” to host your own.
If you decide to host your own you’ll now be prompted to select a track. Note, if you pick a higher level track — such as Stunt — players will need to have a high enough Kart in order to join.
After you chose a track other players will see the option to join. Once they’ve joined you’ll head to the track where you’ll start your race. Good luck!
