Angry Birds Epic King Pig’s Castle Walkthrough

Below is our gameplay walkthrough that will help you beat Angry Birds Epic King Pig’s Castle. This is an incredible 5-wave castle, meaning our video is about 11 minutes long (sorry). Our strategy is as follows. We employ thorny Matilda, passive Chuck, and the Blues as spies. In the first wave, defer to the Blues to knock out all five pigs. Use Matilda to heal whenever possible. Wave two features a heavily-armored pig, who must be attacked by the Blues alone. Avoid using a Rage Chili in the third wave, since all pigs are pretty easy to take out. Another armored pig appears in the fourth wave, but we still haven’t found anything we can’t handle.

The final round is the vast majority of our video, battling Wizpig, Prince Porky, AND King Pig simultaneously. Keep in mind that Prince Porky ignores direct attacks from the Blues. Porky and Wizpig are the biggest threats, so don’t worry about King Pig until the end.

Oh no! Completing this level does not retrieve the 5th stolen Egg! Instead, Wizpig has moved on to his own fortress! Follow him!

If you have a different strategy for completing this level feel free to leave a comment below. Be sure to check out the rest of our Angry Birds Epic walkthroughs here as well as join the conversation in the Epic Forum.

A frustrating castle to be sure. Prince Porky is the ultimate decider in whether you get three or two stars. If he decides to perform his brutal attack twice in a row on the same bird, then your only hope is to have that bird’s class upgraded two or even three times to have the health necessary to survive such a brutal beating. My veteran spies being healed by my veteran druid is not enough to keep up with the AE attack to all birds and then two unfortunate swings from Prince Porky onto the Spies.

3 stars seems to rely firmly on the RNG of Prince Porky deciding to spread his love around instead of focus firing your bird down.

Just about right. Can’t remember how many times I made it up to the final wave, only to get all of my birds knocked out by the prince alone. The Wiz pig and the King pig didn’t deal very serious damage though.

I found myself unable to 3star this one to start, but by 15, I realized one can consistently earn 3 stars by using Druid, spies, and samurai (all vets). On level 5, the only threat is Porky and Wizpig coordinating on the blues. Red’s Defensive Formation will keep Wizpig’s AOE at bay until he can be defeated, then due to Smoke Bomb and the occasional Vine, Porky usually goes down pretty quickly after. At this point, the King usually is at about 1/2 health, and then can be defeated with all three birds attacking him repeatedly, ending with 100% health on all birds. This strategy goes extremely quickly, for a five wave battle, and requires no potions or other boosts, so I found it useful to use it to generate Snoutlings (all three upper level bosses have quite a few) which could be used to purchase things to make Wizpig’s Castle doable.

What is the threshold for three stars? I have repeatedly gotten over 120k with no potions or rebuys and it’s still only two stars (despite the video showing the third star appearing around 45-50k, and definitely being below 95k).

The timing when the stars appear are not indicative of the threshold at which it is rewarded.

The score was ok but maybe you spent too many turns on these waves.

Found out that Vet Cannoneer with chain can replace Samuri, and Vet Wizard can replace the Spies. In other words, as long as one has an AOE attack that can break Ironclad, an attack that can go under Dodge, and a strong healer, this one is very easy throughout all the levels so long as you know how to do it. I have best it easily even when the difficulty indicator has been all the way to the skull. I have also beat it without set bonuses, potions, or revives. The 300+ Snoutlings it yields per defeat by Lvl 20 definitely make the fight worth it (it is the only viable Snoutling farming opportunity in the game so far), and with the 2x XP, it yields a tremendous amount of that, too. I think this is the best thing to do (in-game) when you don’t have anything to do.

I used samurai, princess, and spies. The samurai is good for shielding wizpigs attack. Princess is good for healing and cleansing. The spies are good to get rid of the healing bombs and it attacks all enemies.

before finding this angry bird site took many attempts and all failed then i saved up to to least have 1 veteran i choose my druid. then one final attempt and my samurai, veteran druid and spies got the final round down with all 3 birds up but only got 2 stars eh better then only 1 star so im happy . my matlida has also complete set idk what sets called best i can say its rhe grim reaper set so that probably helped a little =)

i saw some people saying you need like 2 or all three birds with veteran helms on i did it with one ..*flex*

Red (Samurai), Matlida (Druid) and blues (Skulkers) was a pretty good combo for me – if you can afford the skulkers – did it repeatably with NO Veterans, Basically blue does all the work, either directly, or in combo with Matilda (constant thorns on all enemies! Remember to thorn the healing bombs!) and Red and Matilda hold the attacks back.

The 3-star threshold seems to be 125k.

By ChuckDaWizbird

Not necessarily, I have gotten a three-star on many a level with 80k

By the way, once at Level 16 or so, this is a very good level for farming snoutlings and experience stars, if you’re struggling with the Dungeons or waiting for your “loaner” to recharge. Autoplay with Samurai Red, Druid Matilda, and the Spies will consistently get through to the last level, though intervention is required at that point since they will prioritize the King Pig above the others at that point which is not the best way to finish the level.

I’m at level 29 and since the Chronicle Caves don’t let me (someone not on Facebook) test out 3-bird combos, this is one of levels where I can play with unusual combos for me. Even though the enemies are all also level 29, it ends up being pretty easy (indeed, good for racking up snoutlings) most of the time since I’m mostly elited up and have some epic gear.

Anyway, the point is, I took Chuck’s mage/archmage hat along for the ride once, and inadvertently discovered that Shock Shield is not defeated by Prince Porky’s dodge skill. Even better, since each of his attacks gets countered, Shock Shield deliver a whole bunch of damage to Prince Porky each time he attacks. So this is especially useful if you use another bird’s passive to force Prince Porky to attack a bird with Shock Shield/put Shock Shield on every bird.

3-starred it (used Samurai-Druid-Spies Combo) just made sure to use defensive formation before prince’s enhanced vicious backstab and before wiz pig’s black storm and the rest was pretty easy. Did it without potions.

Level15 Bard, Wizard and Spies. Wizard and Spies with chain attack weapons. Probably wouldn’t hurt to give Matilda one too. Set on autoplay until final wave. Take out Wiz first, King next and then for the rest of the night keep on zaping the Health Bombs with chain attacks slowly bleeding out Porky…aiming at the bomb at the bottom of the screen seems to increase the chance of porky getting zapped below his dodge treshhold. 2* only(most likely due to the length of time it took) , but will graciously take that and move on. Move on to the bedroom for now (YAWN!)

What I did was go in with Matilda as a Druid, The Blues as Spies, and Chuck as a Wizard. When I got to King Pig, Wiz Pig, Prince Porky I basically targeted King Pig first then that took out Wiz Pig then for me as he was a second target, lastly it was Prince Porky who was actually easy for attacking with Matilda. I used all my rage chilies on Chuck to basically cause the birds to frenzy and all go after either Prince Porky or his’ bombs. If you need to, I recommend trying to go for legendary items on all birds and get ac decent mastery for each.

I haven’t yet purchased the Spies class for the blues, so I FINALLY three-starred this level using Red (Paladin), Chuck (Rainbird) and Bomb (Cannoneer), all at Level 26 with mastery scores of 5, 6 and 4, respectively. As for weapons, Paladin used the Noisy Hammer (5% chance to stun), Chuck used the Phoenix Feather (30% chance to Dispel), and Bomb used the Fluffy Hand (self-heals by 10% of dealt damage), all obtained from random free rolls of the Golden Pig Machine over time.

On the levels with Ironclad opponents, once the lesser pigs were taken out I found it useful to use the Cannoneer’s turn to apply his “Counter” ability to the Paladin and himself, while Chuck drops a dose or two of Healing Rain and the Paladin finishes off the Ironclad guy.

On the final level, Paladin attacks Wizpig; Cannoneer goes after Prince Porky; Chuck drops Acid rain to kill bombs and cause general damage and Healing Rain for the obvious reason; and of course he also gets the Rage Chili whenever possible. In the past I needed to use potions to get anywhere close to beating this level, but not this time; in fact I was surprised how well this combo performed, considering Chuck’s relative frailty and all.

What I used is as follows: Samarai Red, Pirate Bomb, and Rogues Blues. For wave 1, attack the colonel, then everybody else. For wave 2, rely on Bomb and rage Red to defeat the armored pig. For wave 3, attack the pyropig. For wave 4, attack the armored pig. Finally, for wave 5, use red and blue to attack porky, use shield when wiz pig attacks.

This one gave me a bit of trouble – I ended up two-starring it with a combo of princess, mage, and samurai.

Princess to force everyone to attack Red and in the last wave to cleanse Chuck to ensure he was able to bolt down the heal bombs.

Mage to shock shield Red.
Samurai for defense.

Worked well and while slow, I never was in any danger.

Use Red in his Guardian, Chuck in his Lightning Bird, And Matilda in her Cleric. Do what works for you on waves 1, 3, and 4. On Wave 2 use the Rage Chili on Chuck if it’s filled up. When Guard Captain uses Alarm, use Chuck’s Energy Drain to remove it. On the final wave try to focus your attacks on an order of pigs to defeat: First defeat Wizpig, then Prince Porky, then King Pig. When Prince Porky uses Tit For Tat, use Chuck’s Energy Drain to remove it from Wizpig. When Wizpig is about to use Black Storm make sure you’ve used Overpower on him, then use Aura Of Fortitude then Healing Shield. This will equal (Without Tit For Tat on) 75 percent less damage total from the Wizpig. When Wizpig uses Weaken use Matilda’s Rage Ability to remove the effect if the Rage Chili is filled up and King Pig hasn’t used Burp on Matilda. 3 Aid Bombs will spawn in every turn, use Chuck’s attack to deal damage to all enemies and get rid of the Aid Bombs, if Weaken is applied, it’ll take two hits but they have to charge 2 turns before healing.

Used samurai, cleric, and mage. Make sure all your birds attack power are very high and your class’s mastery is also high. use shocking shield often.

I got 3 stars only with Mage.the Mage only had the phoenix egg!
