Angry Birds Big Setup 3 Star Walkthrough Level 11-9

One strategy for Big Setup level 11-9 is to launch the first Big Brother into the bottom of the first hollow stone square. Doing so will push the wall rightward, clearing the left half of the level. Launch the next Big Brother just above the beachball, popping all remaining pigs. The score in the video below is 102,820.

114440 same estrateghy, but not finishing it with second Big Brother on purpose. If you leave small rightmost pig alive and aim the third pig to it will destroy most of the debris on right corner for more points.

Used Rasuli’s tip above. Gained over 10k in points. Lined up the aim for the first launch with the bottom of the bird in the sling with the second window from the right on the top row of windows in the shorter background building. There seems to be a “sweet spot” where the hollow block and horizontal wood plank meet. Should be able to obtain 50k when the spot is hit. Lined up the aim for the second launch with the bottom of the bird in the sling with the bottom right window in the second row of the same shorter building. Minor adjustments in the amount of space between the bird and window may be needed. Alway used the third bird to obtain points. Zooming in seems to work the best.

I used wrw01’s first shot, which is more or less identical to the video. The strategy after the first shot can’t really be distilled into a few words because the damage is never quite the same between attempts. I was stuck on 98k for a while, then got 104k, and then all of a sudden on one of my attempts, after a good first shot, I aimed for the bottom half of the two thick stone blocks on the right-hand structure and Terence just kept going, clearing most of the right side of the level for 104k plus 10k for the spare bird.

What really makes this level problematic is that any debris, if not destroyed outright, tends to be highly insulative of the pigs. The structure seemed to be irritatingly absorptive of the energy from Terence’s strikes.

I’m in agreement with both of you @truckdriver and @kimmiecv. I had the hardest time finding the best trajectory for the second shot because the damage from the first one is always different. My luck came afterwards shooting the third Terence through the remaining rightmost pig and debris. He bowled right through the vertical planks on the right and destroyed most of it after landing off the platform. The big L-Factor was in my favor this time! I wish we knew how some of the flingers get such high top scores.

@austinrhl @wrw01 — Trying to follow Austinrhl’s tip for the second shot — never got it quite right, probably because didn’t have the perfect destruction on the first shot. However, I did get 110470 with 3 birds!
BTW — Not sure what platform wrw01 is using, but his aiming tips don’t quite work on my iPad. On iPad both aim points need to have more space between the bird and the windows.

Reversing the strategy also works and can get scores of 110k+ and seems to produce 105k+ scores more consistently for me because the damage is a bit more consistent. I had a 114k game waiting for me but the last pig was in the air, half way to the ground when the game ended. Here’s what I’ve figured out…

First bird is a high arc that clears the first structure and hits the second structure on the left side. The idea is to clear out the stones on the left of the second structure so the first structure can fall more cleanly without being held up by the second. A good shot will destroy a good portion of the structure, all 4 pigs in it, and will score between 35k and 40k.

Second bird is identical to the other strategy’s first shot. If you’re trying this level for the first time, figure out this second shot first as it’s the most difficult to get right consistently.

**If you just killed all your pigs, be ready to rush the third bird.**

Third bird is all about cleanup and points. I’ve found that the back half of the board yields more points because the remaining hollow blocks really slow the bird down and keep it from rolling through to the back side of the board.

Thank you! I had been struggling to score well on this level until I used this strategy. Now I’m scoring 110k+ without any effort.

This version of the game has completely different physics than my version. Over 150 tries and the objects do not fall the same way, bounce the same way, react the same way, score points the same way. When I shot the first bird as in the video, the Big Red basically bounced off the concrete block and did not damage. Second, the fruit does not score points when falling into the middle, it just piles up and protects the pig in there from further damage. The physics DO NOT behave as in this video, this is the official worst of all levels that I cannot three star, you have to rely on sheer luck.
Insanity: shooting the birds with the exact same power and exact same angle and expecting different results.
I HATE THIS LEVEL LOL…..

124770/3 for the daily challenge. 1st as above, 2nd cleaning up the middle so that the bird continues, through the pile of wooden square hollows, underneath the right structure so that it(s left part) collapses, 3rd on top of that debris hope it slices through. had several 120k+ scores before this (still suboptimal)
124770 score.
2nd shot is the key; not that frequent (1 in 25 say) and very much dependent on the configuration of the stone square hollows left after the 1st.

@steviep147 I do have a video of a 120420/3 score with the same strat as the 124770 score, but searching for “upload video” on the abn site didn’t give any info on how to upload videos (where to put them; what format; size limitations etc.).

because of remote teaching recently acquired an ipad pro; was able to restore from a backup of the ipad air i had given away last year, and to my surprise (since it’s no longer available from the app store; ios version is much newer) abo is still working (had not backed up abs nor ab-free). screen recording is now very easy. couldn’t upload the above pic directly though because screenshots are too large.

Basically the same strategy as almost everyone.
First near structure, then try to slice to bring the far structure down completely, and finally clear the middle with the last Terence.
As a side note, there is a greater chance of slicing with the second bird if a slightly damaged wood plank is in front of the structure. @comex666 video is a good example of that situation.

Here is the final result for the Daily Challenge.
