Angry Birds Big Setup 3 Star Walkthrough Level 10-15

Big Setup level 10-15 is very challenging, but relies entirely on the first shot. Launch Big Brother into the arm of the crane, causing the TNT to fall. The lower the TNT falls before detonating, the more likely to trigger a chain reaction. Keep trying until you manage that elusive one-bird clear. The score in the video below is 109,400.

AMslimfordy video provided the basic strategy. Found that if Big Brother cuts the rope rather than hitting the wood plank it produced a few more points. The bird needs to follow the tnt to the bottom plank for the best results.

Ok, but where should the rope be cut, relative to it’s anchor point?

@truckdriver I couldn’t figure out where exactly either, however I followed the video as closely as possible and kept at it untill I beat the score and avg! If you visit this level again all I can say is I wish for you the ‘L’ factor cause this is a frustrating level!! :)

Thanks, but it’ll be a while before I start going after averages again. Right now, I’m working my way through Seasons, then there’s Rio and Space.

You’re right about the L-Factor, @kimmiecv! This is an easy but frustrating level. Scores vary greatly from how much of the wood is destroyed after all of the pigs are gone. I’ll happily settle for what I got and maybe try for higher later.

My best score (112,940 which is currently #3) happened when the bird had a direct hit on the anchor point for the “rope”. My guess is that this is the sweet spot. With so many scores within 4K of the high score, and given that above-average scores come only with a one-bird solution, to get a top 100 score at this level requires steady aim plus a lot of persistence and good luck as well.

The high scores seem unobtainable.
Unless possibly using a bird quake.

I really agree @playbird, I do not see the points being there. I had like one piece of lumber left, and can continuously reproduce my score. All I can suggest is that it also matters how many times something gets hit before it breaks, so that may be a factor. And although everybody swears there’s not supposed to be any difference in platform, in my humble experience, there definitely is. I saw it just this week, could not 3* a FB level on my iphone, not once, but could easily do it on a PC. I will move from my phone to my IPad and see if it helps here.

Bird skeleton (@playdbird) & @steinbird, I popped over here to look for some help with the Challenge & noticed your posts. I’m wondering if the TopScore was a 0-birder. With the way the wooden structure takes a bounce when opening the level if a TNT exploded as the structure bounced, I think it could all have come down. I didn’t see this level on mvnla2’s forum list of Self Destroying or unstable levels, but as you know that doesn’t mean it can’t or hasn’t happened.

Of course, some of the higher scores shown could also be as you two suggested, with PU. I haven’t played this a lot today but my only 1-birder using the video didn’t even improve upon my current 109k; I was quite disappointed.

Oh & steinbird, I wholeheartedly believe there are slight differences between devices & platforms.

I really can’t see anything above 112 or 112.5 as being possible.

At 100K there were like two or three pieces of wood left.

Anything is possible but I’m just pointing out that there are more and more hard to believe scores with little to no explanation.

Well, once again, just like video for an almost 2k improvement to 111430 during today’s Challenge using video. There were only a few pieces of wood left after the top TNT fell onto the middle TNT which set off the bottom TNT. Although it looked like the level closed as it was still scoring, I’m a happy flinger … Almost 2k was a 500 step up the ladder.

Revisiting this one. The only way to achieve this top score is to destroy everything. Here I used all three birds to demonstrate. Possible I guess but I am sceptical. @admins @mcrocks

@admins Come on! I know perfectly well that the 3 top scores here are not possible without a 0 bird solution which isn’t happening, ever, or a power-up. Try it yourselves. The top scorers need to show good faith and not just produce a screen picture showing the score.

@earthbound, I know it’s been awhile since you’ve played this level, but could you please tell us how you got your awesome score? As mentioned earlier, it’s highly improbable that scores above 112 can be achieved. Could you take a look, it might be a typo. If not, would you please upload a screenshot of the score. Thank you!

playing in Classics… sent Terrence so he nudged the wood holding the dangling TNT and then crashed through the middle of the horizontal piece of wood at the top of the right side hill, all wood on the right crashed into the center except 1 piece of wood that fell to the right but still fully broke. Left side also came crashing down and all that was left was 3 or 4 hard hats.

Just scored 114+K in Classics. High lob that dislodged box on top of first structure and went on to nudge the wood as described by @realfish. Several scores in the 110-111K range then suddenly everything came crashing down together and the points kept racking up. Nothing left other than hard hats. Pure luck
