The third official Theatrical Angry Birds Movie trailer — is out now and it’s even better than the first two. The flock teams up to investigate the pigs and their intentions.
I like the humor but I seriously hate these designs. They could have very well made the birds talking but without these hideous arms and legs and it would have still worked (like how the Toons do).
It’s like those Agri Birds’ designs came to life. shudders
Don’t you think that to someone who had never heard of Angry Birds, a movie about a bunch of sentient decapiated bird and green pig heads fighting each other might look a little strange?
@thislilpiggy I keep having this thought (for several months now) that the epilogue (after the end of the movie) will explain/connect to why the Birds have no arms or legs- did they evolve this way, or did they have to have them “amputated”?
Also, will the end explain why the birds of the Flock (not the unnamed civilian birds) are the only Birds on Piggy Island
This type of movie needs to walk the fine line of being cute enough for kids and sneaky grownup funny for adults and I think they just might pull it off.
Great trailer as always! Thank god that most of it features already-seen footage (I dont want to be spoiled further), but anyway, some interesting details:
-Birds have “Hatchdays”, not birthdays
-Seeing Judge Peckinpah getting busted is interesting, and seeing the sneezing bird being his support is amusing, but it makes me wonder when this will happen? Before or after the arrivial of the pigs? Also note the power play here, the Judge being taller than Red, gives him power over Red in a sense.
-Extended cinematic theme is almost looped. Soundtrack of the trailer is generic action music. Unimpressed.
-At 1.25 we see all the birds being addressed by Red. Surprisingly, Terence is actually laughing and Mighty Eagle is around the same size as Terence.
-Our first look of Bubbles! Note that his texture is inspired from a balloon.
-At 1.30 we get a nice throwback to the original AB game which is WITHOUT ARMS OR LEGS! Thanks for that nice easter egg ROvio!
-A 1.58 to 1.59, if one zooms closely into the newspaper headlines, there are several easter eggs found. Road Hogs (reference to Bad Piggies), tail straighteners (LOLOL!) and Omelette Day (I thought they were BOILING the eggs…)
@omega-x When Red is singing the “Happy Hatch-Day” song to Timothy (at the beginning), you can see a classic Mighty Eagle wagon (the toy that is on wheels and is pulled by a string)whenever Timothy opens the door
Yes, there is a soundtrack. The biggest artist on it is Blake Shelton. Yes, the birds were on “The Voice” in a promo.
Is anyone going to angrify themselves?

Why should someone who has never heard of Angry Birds (do such people really exist?) watch this movie?
Yah. I agree. I was hoping that they would have used the Toons style, but whatever :/ I’m used to it now. We’ll just have to adapt.

Well, as a wise mime once said:
“Oh my gosh.”
I have been wondering what the name of that elder owl is
his name is Judge Peckinpah
who did the voice of judge peckinpah?
It’s Keegan-Michael Key
Funny to say the least. Will probably see this movie. The dialogue does have a good sense of humor to it.

@omega-x 0:36 has another classic Red on plate on the left.
@mp127 Sorry 0.36? I couldn’t find it…it shows a closeup on the judge’s face. Perhaps u are referring to another point of the trailer?
Sorry @omega-x, I referred to whole scene, it appears 2 seconds later when Red takes off disguise from Judge(s).
Ohh yea! Thanks for pointing it out! Nice eye u have there!
Something you should note – Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla (aka Smosh on YouTube) voice Bubbles and Hal.
Ah yes i should have thanks for pointing it out!
