Here is our Space Eagle Total Destruction video walkthrough for Angry Birds Space Pig Bang level 1-1. Very straightforward: Fire the sardine can into the bottom-left of the structure. If you have an alternate strategy please feel free to leave a detailed comment below.

Just noticed the new Space Eagle walkthroughs. I don’t use the eagles myself, but wanted to express thanks for whoever sprang for the $ to purchase the eagles. Too bad I can’t gift mine to the cause.

I did the same move as in this walkthrough, but got 99% twice, then 96%, and finally 100%. This is supposed to be the easiest level, but it took me 4 cans to get the feather. Even though I did not purchase any eagles, but used my free ones, this was a very unpleasant experience. The limited number of cans just takes all the fun away. I think I am done with the eagle and not interested in getting any more feathers. This is just too annoying!

I agree annach. I’m on a limited income so having to purchase more “cans” just isn’t my priority. Bad enough I had to purchase the third level separately. WTF?? I tried Mighty Eagle on this level 5 times and the most I could get is 99% even though all the wood structure was gone. I’m guessing you have to get rid of some of the greenery as well? I just don’t get enough “free cans” to want to try to get feathers for all levels.

The eagle is crap. I did exactly what was in the video, ad I even used multiple eagles to completely clear the planet (yes, even all the greenery), and all I can get is 99% at most! When I completely cleared the planet, I got 75%. WTF?! The eagle is a waste of time and money, I kinda wish I could get my money back.

Please read our Space Eagle guide and yu will understand why using more Eagles can yield lower scores.

Did exactly what the video did, got 99%, any tips on getting 100%? I compared my eagle damage to the video’s and it was the same.

I used 5 SEs to get the feather on this level. Used four on the first try with no success. Then I went to level 1-2 and got that SE feather on the first try. Came back to this level and flung a can on the first try and received 100%.
I did about the same as in the video but my can stood straight up and was leaning on the left wood post. It appeared that the destruction was the same – everything on the top half of the plant was gone.

I tried the Eagle on 1-1. I used the red bird to knock over the structure, then the Eagle to break the single piece of wood leftover. 63%. Tried over and over, even trying to get rid of the ivy at the bottom of the planet. Could never get more than 63%. I’m usually a completionist and have gotten feathers on every game to that point, but the cost mixed with the inability to use them made it the first and last time I bothered for AB Space.

Kind of sad, really. I used to enjoy doing it. The Space Eagle was just an exercise in frustration. But thanks, ABN for the walkthroughs!

Nite that the number of birds held in reserve count toward your Eagle highscore. This is a big change. Also, I wrote an Eagle Guide for the Space Eagle which may help you out some.

I think the part that bothers me most is that Rovio made a concerted effort when creating AB to make sure it needed little or no instruction to play. That was a huge selling point and one they did intentionally based on focus groups. So then you have the Space Eagle and not only have the rules changed from previous games, but now there are arbitrary new rules that they have never posted anywhere..
