Our strategy for Ham ’em High level 12-1 is to fire the first Yellow bird just over the first baby pig, causing the left side of the structure to collapse. Use the next two Yellow birds to reach the small pig at the bottom of the right structure. The score in the video below is 74,750.

This is the newest update. Right now it’s only available on the iPad, but it’s coming soon to the iPhone and Touch. Android next year.
Next year?!? Argh… that’s like eight whole days away! What am I going to do between Dec 25 and Jan 1?? ;-)

its awsome i belive there is a golden egg on 12-9 but its impossible to get without the mighty eagle i think…i could be wrong though
i just completed all of the levels on world 12 and there was no golden egg in site

Daniel, you are wrong, it’s on 12-12. You have to break the gold cup. You don’t need the mighty eagle.
Im still only on lvl 3 of H E H, now the seasons one a day has finished I’m pacing myself and doing one Ham E’m High lvl a day. 3 starred the first three so far, without looking at any walkthroughs.
I will look, I just want to get them myself if I can, but I’m sure it won’t be long before I get stuck on one and cannot get 3 stars without the walkthrough ! ;)
I understand they can’t develop the levels for iPad iPhone AND Android in 10 minutes but before they release the levels they should be ready with all platforms -.-
Does seem odd that the coding for different platforms should be Sooooo different, that’s the problem with varied OS’s.
I’m by no means an expert on how OS’s actually work, but I would have thought Rovio would build something which would work on all/most OS’s out of the box if they possibly could.
I would be more inclined to place the blame with the OS providers, than with Rovio, similar to some web pages not working properly with MS IE, when they work perfectly fine with every other browsers that are not MS IE because ME IE is rubbish !
To my mind its the producers of the equipment and the writers of the OS’s you need to jump on and moan at, for their equipment/operating systems being elitist and over complex, (deliberately), not Rovio for having to re write their game, time and time again, in their attempts to make it work for and please everyone.
Console manufacturers do this too, some games are just not available for the Xbox, that are for the PS3 and vice versa, its all to do with capitalism I’m afraid, trying to get people to buy one phone and OS instead of another in their hope that once they have enticed you in with the USP “Hook” like the console manufacturers do (unique selling point, Halo, Xbox only, Little Big Planet, GT 5, PS3 only etc, etc) they have you, what they omit to mention are the drawbacks to their OS and that in future there will be lots of new games that you will not be able to play because they enticed you into buying the wrong phone/console.
And to finish of my morning sermon ;) Think back to DVD HD, how many people bought into the platform, only to now find they now wont be able to buy any more new films ! Blue Ray won, just like Beta Max v VHS in the late 70’s early 80’s VHS won that one, but not before a huge number of people were raped of a lot fo money for Beta max equipment only to fond they were stuck without any new material to buy and a useless box of chips ! This “phoney” phone OS war, because it is a fake a sham and aimed only at making massive profits for the companies, not at giving us the user a better experience of service, is just the same, there will be losers amongst us users once the dust settles, it is always going to be the phone Co’s who will always win no matter what the outcome, no matter which way the dice falls. If they sold you the duff one, then you will have to buy another, more profit for them, if they sold you the good one you will praise them, recommend them to your friends and go back to them with your business.
On the other hand, if the phone/system you have doesn’t do what you want, you can always express your annoyance with your phone Co’, by voting with your feet and changing.
Hey TMH – Great rant. I have some experience in this area. I am not an app developer myself, but have been involved in many. I think people grossly underestimate the amount of work that goes into creating a multi-platform mobile game. Here is a recent article with Peter Vesterbacka of Rovio where he shares, “some thoughts on the App Store, Android, Nokia”. While not perfect, what Rovio has done is impressive and commendable (and I’m not talking about game play here/sales here, which is equally impressive). That said, I do have a wishlist:
1. Build a platform-agnostic competition system (leaderboards, achievements, etc) that will allow the entire AB community to participate.
2. On the heels of that, build an accessible API so sites like this can build communities around AB. Other games, such as the Battlefield 1942 franchise, have done this with great success. This could be a first for a mobile game.
3. Be more communicative with us — we are here to help! Hey, I had to throw that in there.
I have more, but I’ll leave it short and sweet for now.
Please do not missunderstand me, I’m in no way berating Rovio it is not their game or skills that are the problem.
I am very aware of how hard it is to write programs for any platform, let alone multi platforms, a very close friend is a programmer and he and I have had hours of conversations on that exact subject, my annoyance is directed at the equipment manufacturers, MS, Sony, Nitendo etc etc ( and for the ones I have not lited, Yes, I MEAN YOU TOO !! ) who deliberately make their equipment to not work with amyone elses stuff, and then try to out do each other by having exclusive games. Do they not realise that its a wapping big market, they dont have to stand on each other heads to thrive, just all use the same damn OS, so that Everyone can join in the fun, not just those with IPhones or whatever other phone/pda.
Another example, DivX files wont work on an X Box, why ?
Its only software, for heavens sake sort it out hardware manufacturers !

I just got the updated version for the Android today. It has the “Ham ’em High” episode! Finally! I’m also told that a Valentines Day edition is coming out sometime next week, so keep your eyes peeled for that as well. Good luck to all my fellow piggy-killers!!!

My Droid just notified me of an update, so I accepted. I didn’t have to search for it. I know this Is no help to you, and sorry for that. Does anyone know how to get the mighty eagle to show up using a Droid? I followed the walkthrough, but no eagle showed up. Not even the “card” that you’re supposed to launch ….what’s up with that??
The Mighty Eagle is only available on iOS devices right now.

v1.5.1 only includes 30 levels of Ham ‘Em High. I haven’t heard when the next update for the PC will be. Hopefully soon.
Any word on the Ham em High for PS3? My kids are driving me nuts with questions on why they can’t play it on the big TV.

why does the angry birds chrome dosn’t have the migty hoax???
Chrome Beta follows the norm of freeware. That is, for free, you get levels well-delayed. That said, we except an update to Chrome pretty soon to include Mighty Hoax and more Chrome Dimension levels.
Did it using 2 birds. First one takes out left pat of structure (plus the pig on the stone to the left) while the second kills the survivors to the right.

@kathy I sent the first bird just like the video. Second up and down into the remaining structure. Pull the slingshot back until the bird is in the middle of the tan rock you see in the background and release. I didn’t accelerate until the bird had started to descend. Got all the pigs except the lowest one. Sent the third bird over just slightly higher than the first one. 77800. I have been trying this since I saw your message and it’s tricky to get a good score-at least for me :)- because the second bird can sometimes get all the pigs, but leave a lot of debris. I hope this helps you!
I should clarify- the second bird should be about halfway between the post of the slingshot and the left edge of the tan rock before releasing.

@kathy This level was the reason I came here to ABN on August 4 ’11, it was giving me nightmares!
I used the video’s method, and a lot of the L-factor. I swear I restarted about 500 times before getting it right and beating the average, with 2 birds. If you happen to use the third bird, destroy the remaining pig/s while damaging as much debris as possible. Good luck :)

Hi @kathy, well I finished with S&T, not bad, my rank rose from 600 and something to 126th, now I’m here at H e H and my scores are dismal. It’s incredible that the first episode is harder to do than any other first episode I’ve played before. The creators at Rovio must be a bunch of sadomasochistic and demented people, we’re supposed to enjoy ourselves and relax playing games, but noooo, the creators want us to develop mental diseases and nervous disorders and spend our final days at a loony bin plotting how to kill the next pig we run into. Talk soon.
@kathy…i lost all my progress in a phone crash…the backup i was using…unlockem angry birds (only for backup, not for cheating) is no longer available. i am with you, this level sucketh!
aaaaaaand the whine factor worked.
I used 3 birds. First bird to take out top layer of wood under stones. Then second bird to clear pigs and second layer of wood. Third bird to clear front two pigs

THH. That slicing form the top to bottom works (after pratice). Sometimes 2 & 3 @mrshabs shoot is worth to change by places.
77,340 1st bird a bit higher then video, the brick will take him out, and wood kills the guy on the rock pile. Just keep the same angle for two more shots to clear the rest.
First bird like the video, straight-on to take out the left pigs and structure. Hit the hat or a little above. The left stone needs to fall and damage the debris. The result should be in the 33-40k range. Second bird high arc to come in on the right lowest pig. The right stone also needs to fall so it damages the wood planks and produces additional points. Little bit of the lucky factor involved. Gained 2k.
Aaahh, another day, another level to redo on another device. To quote from a cool song from the ’70’s: “…he picks up Gideon’s Bible, open at page 1…”. Anyway, I’ll be trying out some of the various starts, seeing as how I can’t remember how I got it the first time around. :-)

My high score on here is wrong (86,100). I was putting in my scores and after entering 2 scores on Ham em High I got called away from the computer. I just came back and was double checking where I was and realized I had entered scores in 12-1 and 12-2 that should have gone to a different level. I will be correcting them but just wanted to mention it, hopefully before anyone panicked. Sorry I guess it was a good thing I got called away or all my Ham en High scores would have been wrong. yikes

This is one heck of a weird episode, I’ve been getting 2-birders left and right and the score never goes above 70k, I got lucky with a 3-birder and raised my score by about 1500 points. Guess I’ll just move on to #2.
Like the video, but I always aim just above the hat at a flat angle directly into the ends of the stacked planks for the most points, around 34k. Then the usual high arc for the far pig, aiming for the left side of the box.
I usually get around 74-75K, but on my last attempt the right side really disintegrated to dust, garnering a score of 79,210.
