WP users gonna lose all progress?

As you know windows 8.1 is on its way now to the windows phones but as there is no way to backup your ingame progress (no rovio account for wp users neither) and the update is recommended after a phone hard reset.. does that mean that we can say goodbye to our progress and our purchases? :/

I can’t imagine updating your phone wipes away absolutely all data, but if so that’s an issue to discuss with Microsoft, not Rovio.
