When Choosing Birds for fight

When you are choosing your birds for the fight, there is a meter with a piggy on one end and a skull on the other…. How does this help you in choosing which birds to use? Thansk!

It is an estimate of the difficulty. It doesn’t help much, but if you know it is going to be easy you’ll choose something like bomb, wizard and spies so you can use bomb’s 25% damage bonus and the wizard’s speed of light to instantly kill everything in the first round.

What you want is for the arrow to be as close to the pig as possible. That will mean that the battle will be easier. Closer to the skull means that the battle will be more difficult. Click on various groupings of 3 birds to see where the arrow goes. It will depend upon how each bird is equipped, of course, but by doing this before each battle, you will have a better idea of whether or not you are using the right birds for that particular fight.

Yeah, that dial is a very rough estimate and shouldn’t be taken as more than a suggestion. For example, it won’t tell you if you’re bringing a whole bunch of high-damage birds to a battle featuring all opponents with Dodge ability, which would make the battle pretty much impossible. I think it’s based solely on your level, how much you’ve upgraded the classes of your birds, and the level of the gear they’re using.

If it’s a battle that requires you to hire someone, just go in with only 2 birds first and see what’s there before making a choice. Or use the walkthroughs on this site of course. That way you won’t waste a hire on a battle you can’t win. (Don’t do this on the daily dungeons though, you only get one shot choosing a team for those before it closes again until next week.)
