Backing up data on iOS

Home Forums General Discussions Forum Backing up data on iOS

  • Hi everyone!
I wonder where the app data is stored on a iOS application. I know that Angry Birds has it under the documents folder, but now when I´m trying to back up Tiny Thief data, the documents folder is empty. And in other applications such as Cut the rope 2 the only file under the documents folder is cached achievements.
Does this mean that different applications store data under different folders? Does this also mean that maybe not all app data is under the documents folder for every app? Because I would really want to take a backup of all my app data on my iPhone. I know I can use the iTunes backup feature, but just to be safe I want to do it manually.

Different developers use different means of backing up data. There is no universal location or means.

@amslimfordy Well, that was to bad. But I guess backing up the hole application must backup the data as well?
Do you know where Tiny Thief has it´s save files?
