ABT update for Christmas 2015

Summary of changes found so far:

NEW BOTS:

– Total of 5 new characters coming soon, but only one shown in barracks.
(1) in Iconic Transformer squad (besides Nemesis Prime)
(2) in Hot Rods squad (besides Rodimus)
(2) in Cybertronians squad
– New character !! Complete everyday challenges to know more…
– It looks like Shockwave will be the bot on the right, in the Cybertronians squad. Stay tuned.

PLAYING NODES

COMPETITIONS:

– Win prizes playing everyday from 12 to 24 December. Look for the banner of competitions on the map to participate
– Soft update pushed out, now a banner states the competition will begin Tuesday 08:00 GMT.

ACCESSORIES:

– Limited time offer hats (1) look like soldier from the Nutcracker (2) reindeer antlers (3) snow-birds, three types (4) star (5) elf (6) ornament with mistletoe (7) knit hat
– Accessories now boost your bot’s power: armor, weapon, or vehicle

THE LAB:

– You no longer auto-exit Prof. Pig’s lab after crafting.
– Something flashes on the lab monitor… not sure if this means anything.
– 3PI and 3BI spins has been fixed. If you have those Energonicons, it’s coins, gems and materials in all five slots
– More space between retry/collect buttons
– If you’ve made a recipe with materials from the far right, if you don’t exit the lab, but tap to make another recipe using BP or SR, you’re still at that spot and don’t have to scroll across.

SETTINGS:

– You can enable/disable “cloud load”. Note that it still **SAVES** to the cloud. There is an explanation of this HERE.
– Something called “Adreno Driver Fix”. Some Android users have experienced screen glitches, and we believe that’s what this is for. It does partially work.
– Access the new Settings screen by tapping the second little dot.

COSMETIC:

– Tiny little Santa silhouette rides through the background while playing nodes.
– Astrotrain has a red nose and antlers.
– Inside of Astrotrain decorated with Christmas tree etc.
– Candy Canes, Snowmen, Presents, etc. used throughout.
– Night sky in all nodes, but most visible in Jenga & beaches.
– Some objects covered with frost/ice.

NOT CHANGED:

– No coins when Photoblast takes down a missile.
– Updating Your Progress bug occurs! See above new “Setting” for stop-gap.
– In lab, you have to scroll left/right to access all 7 materials.
– Thank you rewards from friends broken. They inconsistently come through.
– Facebook connectivity still inconsistent.
– Leaderboard does not load consistently, and there seems to be no logic to which friends are on it or not (known high-level friends are missing). Only ~30 to 33 friends load, when it loads.

@ph Several others (on ABTDP) have reported that the lab does not auto-close, but the other changes you mentioned, they are not seeing.

I just got 3 PI even though my silo is still at the lower level.

Just wanted to point out that the pigs are doubling again. I stopped playing for a while, so I just noticed.

A couple of other things I noticed: the pigs die when you take out a structure again; no more videos to recharge; sometimes I can take out a Christmas tree and other times the shots go right through it as if it isn’t there.

Since the update game has more colour saturation than before, that’s huge difference. But I got one SR as a reward so it’s something more.
Finally I tried Shockwave as a buddy – nice looking character, maybe this time available w/out real money.

@pampeans I had recharge video, so it’s available.

@pampeans Odd, I still have the option to use videos to recharge my TFs.

Also, for the longest time I only received one special material in each run, but after updating I’ve occasionally receive 2 or 3 materials at the end.

I’ve finally started receiving Shockwave as a select-able buddy. I know other people had been getting him before, but I never had the ability to choose him until after the update.

I also received more then 1 material item after a run. If you click on the transformer before the run, you will see the material item as well as how many of that item you will get for completing the run.

Just updated it on my phone. It seems to be kind of bland. The monoliths are frosted white, and there are some candy cane decorations in the game. I kind of miss the flying pigs that were dressed up as turkeys.

There are more squadrons with more blacked out transformers, however there is only one more slot in the actual barracks. So for at least this update, there will only be one more transformer.

Perhaps Rovio will GIVE us all a gift of a free transformer character.
