Angry Birds TOONS

All you Angry Birds out there: Went everywhere to get AB TOONS. Are the cartoons available for the PC or anywhere? I see "clips" on youtube and other places but no TOONS. Are there really complete AB cartoons out there? Not just "clips" or shorts? Could someone direct me to where I can find complete cartoons?
Or, if there aren't cartoons, what does AB mean by "toons?"

The Inspiration behind The Bloated Pig
One day, on a random walkthrough on the Main Site, Kathy sent out a cry for help. Rdnzlrips82 answered the call and helped her get through the pestering level. A rather hilarious conversation about Batman ensued. I then merged the idea of Batman and Angry Birds. Kathy suggested we move the funny conversation to a discussion in the Forum. Welcome to The Bloated Pig Aviary
When the BP Jr was closed, these wonderful birds were left homeless. Since we here at The Bloated Pig have such a love for birds, we gave them a new home. If you would like to visit the birds, go to the patio and look left. You will see ascreened in lattice with a little ivy climbing up the sides. There are cushioned benches for you to sit on while you enjoy the peaceful chirps, rock gardens & waterfalls. There is also a beautiful fountain in the middle of the Aviary. This is the same fountain seen in the photo above.
Did we mention how pampered these birds are? The Aviary comes complete with an Automatic Temperature Control System with heating and air conditioning. It also has, a Light Sensitive Solar Screen System to keep the birds from getting too much sun.
Last but not least, if you happen to hear some strange thuds and squawks, don't be alarmed. The birds have a little practice area built underneath the BP with a new, state of the art slingshot and cardboard cut outs of Pigs.
Please feel free to enjoy the peaceful scenery of the Aviary after a long day of Pig Slaying.

Angry Birds Anonymous

Hello, My name is Sparty83 and I have a problem.

I am addicted to Angry Birds. I play more than I should. I ignore chores that I need to do so I can play a level "just one more time". I have ignored others to play Angry Birds. I have "canceled" activities that I once would never think of missing so I can play Angry Birds.

I play Angry Birds on my Android based phone. I have Angry Birds Original, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio and Angry Birds Space. I have 3 starred every level. I have gotten the Feather in all levels except for AB-Space, Red Planet. (I need more than one Space Eagle a day to get those)

I play Angry Birds Chrome. I have 3 starred every level. I have gotten the feather in every level.

I play Angry Birds Facebook. I have 3 starred every level. I have gotten feathers in most but not all levels. (I don't want to pay for the extra Mighty Eagles. I have a problem, but I am also cheap!)

My wife has a Nook with both Angry Birds Original and Seasons. After she clears a level, I will 3 star it for her. If she gets stuck on a level, she gives it to me to clear for her so she can play the next one.

I'm Sure there are others out there like me. We all love this game but it has gone well beyond just a simple guilty pleasure that we would indulge in when "we get time" to being an all out addiction. Constantly checking the leaderboards. Seeing which levels we have fallen Below Average on and playing that level until we get blisters on our fingers from non stop flinging of birds.

And because of this, I have come up with a 9 step process that I plan on working on. (as soon as I get Above Average on ABO, Bad Piggies, Level 19-4)

1. We admitted we were powerless over Angry Birds—that our lives had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

4. Admitted to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

5. Were entirely ready to remove all these defects of character.

6. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.

7. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

8. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

9. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to Birdoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

Currently I am at Step 1.

Is there an Angry Birds backup app that works on Jelly Bean?

I’m trying to transfer my scores etc for all four Angry Birds versions from my HTC Sensation running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 to my new Nexus 7 running on stock Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1

In the past I’ve used Angry Birds Backup from Sergio Patricio, but this app states that the files in Android 4.1 Jeally Bean are not readable. Why the files are unreadable I do not know, but I can confirm that I am unable to transfer my Angry Birds scores to my Nexus. As far as I know, this is also an issue for the other backup apps in the Play Store. Just like Angry Birds Backup from Sergio Patricio, the added option of backing up files to your Dropbox account (or another cloud service) would be a requirement as the Nexus does not have an SD card.

If there are no backup apps that work with Jelly Bean, perhap someone knows how to do it manually.

Please note that rooting my devices is not an option.

Any help would be much appreciated.

We can say the ABN Avatar Contest 2012 was really fun and a success! So to continue this success we will start a new ABN Avatar Contest. With a few surprises for the Top 3 Avatars. We asked Slim for granting points for the TOP 3 and he allowed and submitted it, many thanks again @amslimfordy!!!

Each Nester can NOMINATE ONE fellow Nesters avatar each month till November 30th
(so a maximum of 11 nominations in total)
One can not nominate their own avatar.
If an avatar is already nominated it will be of no use to nominate it again, just save that thought for the voting in December and choose another one to nominate.
A nominated avatar needs to be in use at the time of the nomination.
If a person changes their avatar throughout the year, it doesn't effect the earlier nomination and the new one can be nominated as well. So it is possible that one Nester is nominated for more than one avatar.

The nomination process will end at November 30th and all the nominated avatars will go thru to the Finals in December. In December the voting starts and every Nester can vote for their 3 favorite Nominees. The top 3 Avatars on December 31th are winners of the ABN Avatar Contest 2013!

Angry Birds, Pigs, and Marmosets in Real Life (the wild)

Did you know that feral pigs and marmosets are actually enemies of angry (threatened) birds in the wild? I had no idea until I spoke to someone at Bird Life International. They are doing some amazing work to prevent extinctions and Angry Birds are helping them. See http://birdlife.angrybirds.com. Please make a donation to help too. (This webpage identifies the endangered species portrayed by some of the birds in Rio).

Feral pigs eat eggs of ground nesting birds, destroy the habitat of many birds (ground-nesting or not), and help spread avian flu by creating water-filled hollows that increase the mosquito population. Common marmosets are also a problem when they occur as a result of man's introduction rather than naturally in their original range, which is the Atlantic Forest of North East Brazil. Just as in the film Rio and in Angry Birds Rio, marmosets have been released or have escaped into the wild around several big cities, such as Rio de Janeiro, and are now affecting some of the native wildlife there by predating species that wouldn't normally be affected by them.

One particular bird that is being threatened by invasive marmosets is the Restinga Antwren - a Critically Endangered Species living in a small coastal strip near Rio. Marmosets have recently been found in this area and have been taking their eggs along with those of other birds - eggs are one of the marmoset's favorite foods. BirdLife's partner Save Brazil has been tackling this new threat to the antwrens by trapping and relocating marmosets found in this area. Please post any self-destroying (total or partial destruction with no birds shot) or unstable levels (become unstable after a bird shot) that are not on this list.
Send details: game, level, whole or partial destruction, range of scores, frequency, and wait time.
Description of shots required to cause instability also needed.

Updated 4/ 23/13:
As Rovio releases new updates, and as operating systems are upgraded, the results for self destruction have changed. Some levels no longer appear to have the self-destruction described below, even without any obvious change (like a block preventing a pig from rolling off). I will start posting dates reported, but I'm not going to recheck all the old reports.
Intentionally or unintentionally on the part of Rovio, the behavior of self destruction as a function of restarts has changed. The dependence of self-destruction on restart number (demonstrated on 1/14/13) may no longer be true if you are using the latest game versions.
On 1/4/13 un-named member, who uses PC, reported some interesting, repeatable behavior related to scores and number of resets after logging out of game. click here The score for self-destruction appeared to be a function of the number of level resets made after exiting the game. I verified similar behavior on iPad. This seems to have changed with the latest updates.

Self-Destroying Levels

ABO 1-3: Smile falls down on pigs, almost impossible!
ABO 1-13, partial; score ~10; Top left stone falls down immediately, little or no destruction
ABO 2-2: Right pig falls in the swimmingpool
ABO 2-5: Right stone tower drops 4-5 blocks on right side. ~27K; 5-10 sec; ~1/20.
ABO 3-5: partial and total?, point? 1/30?? times, ~10 sec. Reported on pc and iPod

ABO 5-6: Structure falls with different patterns. Launch the first bb into the glass blocks. Then wait. The right side appears to fall first then the left. One time the left side fell first but not the right. Watch the pigs eyes and their movement in the boxes and sometimes one can tell if the structure will fall. Movement usually occurs within 1-3 minutes after hitting the glass blocks with the first blue bird.
ABO 18-15: Top right sometimes unstable; initial settling may cause top to shift left; stone block / small wood square right of pig with pink hat may fall for 10 (count 'em ten) points! ~10 to 20%. Misalignment can lead to 2-birder and higher score, but probably not above average.
ABO GE 23: Hit clock correctly and it will cause massive destruction, up to 120K?, you may need to wait a while (1min?) for this to happen; also left pig under tree is above ground and falls, giving 40 pts

ABS GGGL 1-2, Right structure sometimes moves noticeably to right before birds fired; may collapse after 1st bird fired even when little motion initially

ABS GE 20: (big basket), Hit pile of fruit in right spot with 1st 2 birds and you get the spinning flower / fruit, which can cause complete destruction, 75 to 100+K, short wait (~sec) for flower / fruit to detach from rest
ABS GE 22 (space level) If you break the chain holding the pig suspended below the spacecraft, the green and purple "bridge" on the right will fall.

ABSp 1-30: The buggy will occasionally either fall off the platform or turn upside-down. This usually happens when the buggy has been hit 3 times in a row and happens very rarely(about 5% of the time). This will only increase your score by 180-2000 points. It's pretty funny when bubbles get under the buggy and it starts floating.Reported by Blah
ABSp 2-2: Not sure what to call this, but results may depend on direction and spin speed of lower grey asteroid; see comments in walkthrough
ABSp 2-5: see video; after first 3 birds, right ring starts oscillating, and eventually blows TNT; takes a while

ABO Free, VIII-1: The second lowest pig from the left appears to be surrounded by 2 vertical, skinny wood planks. The "plank" on the right is actually two planks stacked vertically, they often slip but then stabilize.
ABO Free, VIII-2: (per Loox) Haven't waited for spontaneous destruction on VIII-2, but the top of the left hand structure looks like it will fall.

Few days ago I wanted to update my OS from unrooted Android 1.6 (on LG GT540) to the newer one. I didn't want to waste all of my progress in Angry Birds so I came up with the solution for backing up save files.

Unrooted system can be a pain. You can access and view files in the AB save files folder but you can't list the contents so actually you have to work blindly. You also don't have the access to the standard cp command (or maybe there isn't one in 1.6 version?) so copying saves isn't that trivial. But we have tricks for that.

First you need to install some terminal for your phone. I recommend ConnectBot (just find it in the Android Market and download, it's free). After launching it select 'local' from the dropdown list on the bottom of the screen and type anything you want in the field on the right. After you press OK you will see the dollar sign. I assume you have mounted your SD/microSD card in your phone. Then you will need to type following commands:

cd /data/data/com.rovio.angrybirds/files
cat highscores.lua > /sdcard/ab_hi.lua
cat settings.lua > /sdcard/ab_set.lua

If you also want to backup your Angry Birds Seasons:
cd /data/data/com.rovio.angrybirdsseasons/files
cat highscores.lua > /sdcard/abs_hi.lua
cat settings.lua > /sdcard/abs_set.lua

I only backed up highscores.lua and had to complete all Golden Eggs again because Golden Eggs are stored in settings.lua

Now you have copy of the Angry Birds save files. If you want to restore saves you need to install Angry Birds [Seasons], complete at least one level and type in ConnectBot:
cd /data/data/com.rovio.angrybirds/files
cat /sdcard/ab_hi.lua > highscores.lua
cat /sdcard/ab_set.lua > settings.lua

cd /data/data/com.rovio.angrybirdsseasons/files
cat /sdcard/abs_hi.lua > highscores.lua
cat /sdcard/abs_set.lua > settings.lua

Tested on two different LG GT540 phones but on nothing else.

I was wondering. Is there anyone out there who relies on the PC for their angry birds games. I personally don't have a smartphone, don't have a tablet, and don't trust having a facebook or twitter account. Are there any other angry bird fans who play their games on PC only? It seems the PC gets the last of everything with angry birds. It always takes a long time for the updates to come out on PC for the original angry birds and angry birds seasons. I don't mean to complain but their has got to be a community of PC users somewhere out there that think the same. What would you say?

Seniors on Angry Birds Nest

Hi to all Seniors (older then 40)! When I joined to ABN I thought I was absolutely the oldest person here and I am 40. Personally, I don't know anybody older then me who plays any kind of video games :-( Being an 40 year old woman here (Bosnia and Herzegovina) means that you should't have any sort of childish fun, sadly....I play all sorts of vido games almost all my life, at least ever since I became proud owner of my very first Commodore 64 in 80s.
Reading posts on ABN's forum, I actually realised that I am not only one who could easily be mother to all these kids who hang around here and share their treffic scores. At first, I thought that even stuff here are some students addicted to game and enthusisatic enough to create page to game. Well....
I'd like to hear from all members older then 40 (or close to 40) about their experiances on playing AB games. Do you think it is more difficult to older players to acheive excellent scores (or above average). Do you have any obstacles while playing (like aiming, slower reflexes an so on)?

Having problems with backup/restore apps?

There is a simple solution if you have a game backup app that SAYS it has restored your data but it hasn't, on android devices.

Simply hit the menu button (the four squares button) then go SETTTINGS>APPLICATIONS>MANAGE APPLICATIONS then go to RUNNING SERVICES. scroll to the Angry Birds game you are trying to restore. Manually KILL said service. then run the backup app and hit restore.

It works because like Windows and LINUX, Android cannot modify files that are used by a running service.

Hope this helps someone out.

AB Seasons won't start

This morning I started AB Seasons on my PC and it updated from 3.1.1 to 3.2.0, and now when I try to start the game, I get a message that the program can't start as it is missing the normaliz.dll file. The game was running fine before, and is fine when I uninstall it and put it back to 3.1.1. All other AB games are fine, just this one won't work now after the update. Has anyone had this problem? Thanks.

Playbook: Does backup save scores?

I need to do a security wipe of my Playbook. I've done a full backup using the desktop Playbook app. After I do the wipe and restore from the backup, will my Angry Birds scores come back?

If not, is there something else I can do to save the scores?

I can not find the last banana. I have gone through the walk through level by level and just missing one......is there a glitch that doesn't allow you to get it? Is there another way to see what level I am missing the banana on? Hope that makes sense. Thanks.....

For me the easiest Episode Angry Birds Original - Birdday Party. Got very good scores!
