Angry Birds Friends - If your not playing, you should start now
-
ABF is turning in to a nice little self sustained app within Facebook. It seems that Rovio is directing a lot of development towards the Facebook Initiative. With frequent ABF specific updates, rumors of new level packs in Green Day, a few new levels per week in tournament, & no end in site (unlike other Web Based apps).
I am starting to get excited about ABF releases & adding those levels to my "must complete list" (3* & Feather). Granted you have to pay for MEs but I've accumulated enough over time playing Tournament.
Anyone else playing have ABF in their "must complete" list & has this Green Day update turned them on to ABF more? -

Certainly yes. ABF acts like a platform where mini-games within the app can be released and who knows what comes next!
-
I agree. I play pretty regularly, and I'm excited about the Green Day update.
-
Nope, not here -- still avoid Facebook like the plague.

I don't have Facebook :(

I have FB account for years but don't use it at all. And I don't likae any game that should be played online. I don't like to be exposed that much, maybe I'm wrong but I have a feeling that playing FB games is too much exposing.
@Chaos Tsar and @Harrystar6 I can't believe, you two are rare birds among a billion. -
I am still not playing ABF because my Leptop is to Slow for playing :-( But maybe Green Day will be also included in ABO :-) I hope ROVIO will maybe bring a New Game App on market which is called Angry Birds Lost Levels where all Mini- and Webgames are included :-) i know this idea is far away from Reality but i will believe in and looking forward of this ...

The only reason why I have a facebook account is to pluck the coupons from companies that post them there. Otherwise, it'd be utter useless to me. I surely don't play games there. I originally signed up for Google+ JUST so that I can play the Angry Birds levels there...but that lasted about 2 days. I detest having to log in somewhere to have to play games. Like those before me, I wished they would release all their web based levels in an app. Even if they can't use the logos and what have not within the apps, simply change them to generic items like they have been doing in other levels (textbooks, treasure chests, etc...) thereby changing the theme as well I'm sure, but at least the structure and playability of the level would still be there.

I felt the same way as most of you about not playing on FB. The experience just wasn't the same. But with the releases of Golden Eggs, Pigini Beach, & Green Day combined with the slow updates of SnT on ABO I have completely changed my mind. Those I just listed are great packages of levels & at the rate we're at right now I don't see how ABO could catch up to these FB releases.
Another reason I think ABF is growing for the better is that new releases are showing up on it while no old releases are being added. Which is completely different (and the reason I stay away) from AB Chrome. I can play all those levels on my iPhone.
@heathen - I did the same thing with G+ but it turned out to be a joke. There hasn't been an update to that since it started, & I haven't been on G+ since I completed those levels.
As for the Web Apps separate mobile app, I was hoping we would see one. But at this point I don't think it will ever come. -
but I don't have Facebook
-
Hahah so weird. I barely use Facebook either (although I do like Twitter). I guess Angry Birds players who obsessively try for good scores tend to be some specific personality type that is apparently opposed to Facebook :-D
-
Don't get me wrong, I'm not so much "opposed" to Facebook as it's just not for me. I'm not an "old fogey", but I just don't see the purpose of me advertising to the world where I am, what I'm doing, etc.... just not a need in my life. Add that to the fact that I detest playing games within a system such as Facebook and having them try to siphon money from my wallet continuously, it doesn't bode well for me to even be interested, much less start. I went into the Google+ with an open mind though...played it for a couple of days, and got sick of the notion (logging in, finding friends in a circle, etc....). Too much work and effort to play a simple game. Only completed some of the levels...never looked back. Never even have logged into Google+ since.

I have a Facebook account with no friends and they don't have any of my CC info. So it's is really just to play ABF & easy log in with other websites that allow quick account creation through FB.
-
I started playing AB on FB because I ::gasp:: don't own an iPad, iPhone, any brand of smartphone nor did I want to pay for a standalone PC version. I originally didn't want to play games on FB. Slowly I got pulled into a few games. Now I wish I had a separate account just for games so I could avoid sharing the very little info I currently share with the gamemakers. If you are worried about privacy it is easy enough to set up a gamer account. My friend's cat has an account. It is so private my friend doesn't even know about it!

It was actually Angry Birds on FB that 'got me hooked'. I've done all the levels - Surf, Pigini, Poached, Hoax & Golden Eggs. I've done the Green Day new set, and do the Tournament every week (None of this has cost me a penny! I DO NOT/WILL NOT play any game on FB that costs me money, and I am very private with all my settings. The only people who know I play games are Family). It was the fact that I've enjoyed playing it so much, I branched out and actually bought Angry Birds Space for my PC. Now, I may even buy Rio & Seasons!!

I don't think it's fair to have a special facebook edition of the game. Loyal users of the PC, iOS, Android, and MAC miss out. Levels released for facebook should be released to all other platforms too to make it fair. Not everyone likes to use facebook. I personally don't trust using facebook or any other online social network with all the identity theft and crime that can happen. I don't have a need for a facebook page. I would never use it except only to play angry birds. Hopefully all the other major platforms will get these levels too.

I think they should add tournaments on ABF to the pc/Mac/I os and android and all smart phones to play
