  • Wooo Hooo - just made "Fling King"
  • @gumby no problem, good luck on the pup:)
@knichy I grew up in the 70's also but no colleges nearby, and i didn't attend college,I started work at 17. What's Terpville ¿
  • Wooot Congrats @knichy !! i assume the kids are back to school lol just in time for February vacation!! Btw @knichy Im not sure if you've mentioned it and i forgot, but i just looked back a few pages and you didn't say or maybe you did and I was half asleep (per norm) and missed it, do you have all girls ,i assume because you had mentioned the sleepover a while ago.
  • @knichy congrats
@kathy better have OB give me a double shot of that special stuff
  • You got it @gumby and OB I'll take one as well:)
Where is everyone ? Getting very slow lately: (
  • Go Get em'' @gumby
And lol i saw your @gunby in my email notification hee heee;)
  • @kathy lol whos gunby, I made a typo why would ya get that
  • Lol Your original post comes through in the email notification @gumby , not the edited version ;)
  • Trust me I'm the Queen of Typos haha ask anyone who knows me, funny though it's only on my mobile devices, I'm actually an excellent typist and I excel at spelling:)
  • @kathy sure :P typos only on mobile devices
  • @kathy :( forced to stop flinging now. Phone battery is critically low even thou charging constantly while playing. Rio drains the battery much quicker. :(
  • @gumby I'll give you my Nexus Tablet , you just gotta get the port fixed?
  • @gumby That's the worst thing you can do is charge while flinging!! Believe me I learned the hard way, hence v the Nexus port being loose!! Worth waiting an hour or 2_, powering off and charging fully, read a book lol..
And that's not just me saying it, I was told that by a very reliable, technical knowledgeable person!
  • @kathy so far 1 puppy for this challenge for jtwade
  • There still time @gumby, charge up that phone and Go get your puppy,
Seriously I'll see if one of the Techs at my work can fix my Nexus, if so I'll give ya my Nuetab, is not the greatest tablet , but it has great battery life and is free:)
  • If not I'll give you my Nexus, if you think you can get the charging port fixed..
  • *steps out on the patio to have a smoke, bbiab*
  • @kathy yea a smoke is a good plan brb
  • @mvnla2 I still can't figure out how to make the self- destroying forum table of contents clickable, do you mean i should be able to just click say seasons on the list up top and it should take me to that section¿ that would be awesome, as of now i still have to scroll through ba lot of pages to get there ¿ don't get me wrong I love the forum, as i believe you know, and appreciate the work you've done to keep it updated !
  • @gumby how are you still on line of your battery is dead ¿? And you didn't answer me on the tablet?
  • @kathy I am on here on my laptop, Angrybirds is on my phone
  • How come you don't play angrybirds on your laptop? @gumby ?
  • @Kathy -- The self-destroying forum table is no longer clickable. It was when I first made it, but when I updated it the clicking feature no longer worked. Don't know if I have the time and energy to figure out why and fix it. After all, it's long overdue for an update, which I haven't found the time for either. : (
  • @gumby -- As to why Kathy and Rat call each other Ma and Pa, I'm sure it's explained somewhere in the previous 2590 pages. : D
  • Oh o.k No worries @mvnla2 it's still very useful, just gotta do a little scrolling that's all;)
I still enjoy finding levels that have instability, whether an asset or not it's still interesting:)
  • @kathy well I fling mostly when not home aka work and I can't watch a show while flinging if flinging on the laptop
  • A!righty then @gumby lol whatever you said, so you fling at work, aka Driving a taxi, and you watch shows while at home on your laptop? Hence no t.v.¿ you gotta get with the times guy, most people have a P.C or a Mac, a tablet or 2 And a mobile phone which is basically used for that old fashioned concept of dialing a number (though that's changed as well, you just press a pre-programmed number on the phone) then hold it to the side of your face and listen, and talk.
Wow that whole phone concept sounds complicated, easier to just text lol!!
Sooooo do you want a tablet if i can get one fixed? Going for the last time? It's not a scam ,i just don't need 3 and I'd rather give it to someone than have it sit in a box doing nothing?
  • @kathy thx for the offer but I don't mind playing on the phone unless its the Seasons episodes. LOL some of those are so tiny on the phone I can't even see the pigs. And flinging in between the driving aka the sitting around bored out of your skull waiting for a customer.
  • @kathy and ya no TV , Im not home enuff to bother with a cable bill
  • Don't blame Ya @gumby Cable is overrated and outrageously expensive!! When you can just watch shows on line! My daughter does the same, no t.v but she has a pc, she hardly ever watches tv anyway she has a busy life!
  • @gumby -- I tablet is much better on the eyes than a phone, and easy to bring along in your cab. Take @Kathy up on her offer. Well, maybe, not sure what she's offering. I think some of her tablets are infected with "Hoodo Voodo". I don't think they're very old, since she seems to get a new one every 6 months.
  • Lol @mvnla2 In all honesty I can't blame the hoodoo voodoo on the device is all me lol, the problem with the tablets (only 2 btw, I one just didn't like and gave it to bf) well the problem turned out to be, as I just said to gumby I Was Flinging while plugged in, very very bad for device as I learned from experience after advice from a very good friend who knows about these things, ya sounds like common sense but 'eh didn't think it mattered:/
@gumby would be fine with my not so old tablet, and yes it's much better on the eyes!!
  • Night Pa ♡
  • Night Ma
  • @kathy That was a truly great idea about giving to the Humane Society. So let's get moving - here are some candidates for tonight:

    And bedtime massage: http://youtu.be/_smCnn1eRmQ

I so agree with you - I love real books best! First thing I do with a new one is sniff the pages and stroke the cover. And I love fine editions - if you don't know the Folio Society, check it out here:

    http://www.foliosociety.com/

My oldest book dates from 1669.

@snoid, @rat Well, I'm 73 and I never touched drugs. . . and I'm so glad I didn't, having an extremely addictive personality. I smoke - on the terrace like @kathy - and I do so enjoy wine!

For you @all : beautiful timelapse:

  • @Kathy - Terpville = College Park, Home of the Maryland terrapins.
two girls 7 and 8, on 14 boy and one 23 boy
  • @tompuss I have an old copy of Gullivers Travels from the 1800's I know its not worth much nor is it very old but I like it :)

    @kathy WASSSSUUUPPP
  • @TomPuss I hate to tell you this, but alcohol and nicotine are drugs! Just pulling your leg. I, too, enjoy fine wines, however I went cold turkey on cigarettes in 1990, and haven't had one since. I also have a very addictive personality, and definitely overdid drugs the first two years of college, so I knew it had to be all or nothing with cigarettes. My wife quit at the same time, but went off the wagon a year or so later, and died of lung cancer six years ago. That also got my father, and I've had three older siblings, all smokers, succumb to other forms of cancer. Sorry to be a downer, but there are a lot of cigarette executives who should be in jail.

Thanks for the Rita Hayworth clip. It was quite racy for its time. I've always thought that she was the most beautiful actress in the 40s and 50s, though Monroe gave her serious competition the second decade.
  • @snoid I am so sorry to hear of your way too often contact with cancer. Glad you at least managed to break the tobacco habit.

I think just about everyone on this site has an addictive personality, why else would we be so intimate with the birds!?? And having been in college in the late 60's, I can't imagine how anyone there could have missed the pot experience.
  • @kathy YO where you hiding?
  • @Tompuss very cute doggie videos , had me rolmao haha, and a beautiful time lapse!
Thanks for the link to the Folio society what beautiful books! I had a lot of old books, dated back to the 1600's through early 1900's but they weren't worth anything which i was sure they would be, but When i looked them up , nope nothing, unfortunately i lost them in a move , why is it you always lose Something when you move: \
I'll have to watch the Rita Hayworth later when i put my headphones on.
@knichy Nope still never heard of terpville or terrapins, actually i don't know much of anything about Maryland lol. And what a range of ages for your children !! At least it's even 2 girl's 2 boys, i always wanted a boy, but got 2 girls youngest is 34, boy do i feel old seeing that in black and white lol.
@snoid I'm so sorry to hear of your close relationships with the big C :( Ive been planning on quitting seriously lately and I've cut down to about half a pack or less some days, bit other days
Idk is very hard habit to break: (
@catsnbirds I totally agree that we all have Some level of addiction, there are the strong few that can totally (or say) they've totally kicked All additicition, but I believe Everyone had an auction to something, coffee , chocolate so many number of things that are considered just normal behavior, the test being can you go without it!
    @gumby Waaaaassuuuppp:)
  • Good for you @TomPuss. Most people think drugs are a victimless crime but it ain't so. They create a whole underworld of crime and death.

@knichy I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're on a second marriage because of the gaps in the children's ages. Or was the first child such a holy terror that y'all suspended having more until you could handle him? he he Me...I celebrate 40 years to the same wonderful woman in less than two months.

Glad you were able to quit smoking @Snoid. That's a horrible history in your family with them. So sad about the wife.

No @catsnbirds. It missed some of us. I was too busy in college trying to understand women.
  • Hi Ma. I was typing at the same time as you. We both wrote novellas.
  • @kathy no challenge for me today so Ive been back at Tatooine where I have improved a few scores :)
  • @rat I will assume that now you are far away from college that you have learned that there is no real understanding the opposite sex! Just celebrate the differences and enjoy.
  • @catsnbirds :) I love the differences. well most of them anyways :P
  • Hi @Pa :) yep i didn't see ya there, lol we did type at the same time and both unusually wrote a novella haha,
I missed @catsnbirds comment on the pot thing, i tried it, went to sleep and couldn't be bothered with it again lol!
@gumby I'm hiding in seasons having a Summer Picnic:) Why no challenge because you haven't made it to Hoth yet¿ i don't even remember flinging Hoth it was so long ago! Howd i do ¿ better not be one of my high scores: (
  • @kathy yea not on Hoth yet, and I have passed a few more of your scores in Tatooine. The force is with me.
