"You will go you will return, never in war will you perish"
"You will go you will return never, in war will you perish"
The Oracle leaves it up to you.
Guess I'm looking for a scholar, not a film buff lol
  • @fenikus Maybe. I just changed my mind. I still don't like it, but I looked at his scores. Early Rio levels, they all average 1800th place, with his best being a 200th. Even if it's not real, everybody deserves one, I guess.

@Annifrid did you make your Yoda avatar? I like it. :)

@hunnybunny I got ya now. Level 12 is making me stupid today.
  • mmmkay, just uploaded to gravatar. now what?
  • @fenikus the winners are announced in December. I guess you flinging guys aren't interested in such things. It's a bit of a girly thing.
  • Wait @fenni wait, you will appear.....
  • Ha ha, the dark Fenikus has appeared, at last!
  • Yes, I look so much better now, don't I?
  • Much better!!!
  • @fenikus now go reupload your avatar to ABN, or you'll have a broken link there instead of here :)

@hunnybunny hey! sexist comment much? :P We like the pretty lil pictures too.
  • I agree with your Tremors selection Mrs. Bunny. But can't get on board with Sharknado. Razorback? I like watching a series. Try the original "Frankentein" followed by Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein".

Why am I named after a football team in Rotterdam @Kelani? The Xerxis?
  • The dogs are calling me for their walk and then dinner. I am amazed they haven't destroyed my iPad yet -- they do look at it funny, like "what is this odd looking thing that's keeping him from playing with us?" Have a great afternoon/night, @all.
  • @kelani slightly sexist, mostly fact. A (very) questionable analysis, which took me 30 secs, reveals twice as many women vote in the avatar contest as men .......
  • @hunnybunny I admit, it is mostly fact. You're very observant. :) Maybe it's because women see more colors than men. Maybe we're just lazy. I bet if some of those avatars were Victoria's Secret models, it'd be quite different.
  • @kelani now you're being sexist :-P
  • @hunnybunny ...and mostly true! Besides, it's ok to make fun of your own :P
  • @kelani, about #12: shoot through the first marmoset, the rest of the the first structure and hope for the best. This is a level that isn't following physical laws. Most of the times it tumbles left, sometimes, really sometimes to the right NOT forcing the right structure to collapse. Then, once in the let us say, 100 times, it does work. So, this is a strat that isn't really logic.
  • @all goodnight
After some horrible dental work last week, I'm up early to see the knee doctor.
To say nothing of two unpronounceable digestive complaints, and the fact I'm stone deaf in my right ear, I'm a right old crock (54 today)
But off to Spain in three days. Funny how the sun makes all your problems disappear.
    Happy flinging all!
  • @hunnybunny happy birthday, such as it is, and have a great vacation :)

@bernersenn I agree. It's another randomly weird level. Do you call if you used the flat shot (through the marmoset's face, the one I described on walkthru) or the higher shot that goes just over the top of his head? Both can get the rightward fall, but mine's just not producing as many points, or enough falling debris for a 1-bird.

#12 is yet another level where identical shots give identical scores. I hate those so much. You know a 1-birder will be rare, so all you have left is the hope randomness will be your ally. Identical scores take that away from you, too.
  • @Kelani Yeah, I like to make all my avatars myself ;)
  • Btw @Kathy using @Rat's cat as her avatar is ... confusing. I did read a whole page of comments yesterday before realizing it was not Rat :D
  • Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes!
  • Sorry @Annifrid. She's using my avatar of Robert, the Rabbit Hunter, to protect her back while she flings. @Hunnybunny is trying to sneak up on her. It's just temporary.
  • I hate to be nosey @AMslimfordy, but have you set a date for the wedding yet?
  • @AMSlimFordy Hope you're having a good one.

@Annifrid Me too, except I'm seriously out of practice. I noticed your avatar because that's the only happy bomb bird I've ever seen. It's cute :)
  • I think I missed @hunnybunny, but Happy Birthday to you & @AMslimfordy. Hope you've both had a wonderful day :)
  • @Rat That avatar made me call her @Kithy. Now I can't stop.
  • He shoots. He scores! He retakes #1 spot! Before you waste a trip to LBs, @Kelani, this is in High Dive. Still not good news for you, because chasing @crivit there was distracting me to some level from BR.
  • @fenikus congrats. :) How is you inhigh dive not good news for me? :) I considered a run on that level before I knew any of you. Then got distracted by the Trophy level with the flailing arms.

@crivit definitely proves there's no PC score problem in Rio.
  • Seems like 3 people join the river every day now.
  • *stumbles in weary from a busy weekend and hardly time to fling. .AND NOW there is another contester worse than the dreaded bunny who's been nipping my heels!! Who is this Yoshiki(spelling)? We are all doomed:(
OB Please a Marmoset Killer a double please
  • I got nothing to help you @Kathy. My voodoo won't work on Yoshiki.
  • That's ok Pa me and Robert will fight the good fight. .whatever will be will be:/
  • @Kelani, I was splitting some time between BR and HD, aprox. 70% to 30%. Now it's back to sieving at the River full-time.

@Kathy, quit hunting wabbit and start fishing for some sushi-grade tuna, lol
  • Lol @fenikus yep Robert like sushi; )
  • Btw, @Kelani, do you know how to make a link to a particular comment in walkthroughs?
  • Did you just say what I think you said @Kelani. There is no PC disadvantage in Rio. What about all your tests and all the data gleaned from the score boards? You had me convinced there was a disadvantage playing on a PC, not an advantage because of the larger viewing area.
  • @Kathy, he dearly loves shrimp in the shell.
  • Ya @kelani what Pa said?
  • Panning @fenikus, panning.
  • BFNIMCBLIDK
  • @fenikus rejoining all of us panning for gold, you mean? :P

@Kathy Yoshiki's a silent assassin. I don't think he speaks english, so you can't act all cute and trick him into giving up his strategies, either :/ Do what fen said. lol.

@Rat and Kathy Y'all ganging up on me? :P I said there was one in some Space levels. Didn't know yet about other titles. Rio I thought was possible, but crivit's scores pretty much rule out High Dive. There's 3 levels in BR I can't come anywhere near my ipad score.
  • Not ganging up on you @kelani just thought you had mentioned it before ?that there was a disadvantage
  • I gotta fling that silent assasin is to close for comfort!
    BBFNIMCBLIDKBPW
  • I don't see anything wrong with the phrase "sieving for gold" (pan -> panning, sieve -. sieving). Aside from misspelling the word as "seeving", my friend @bernersenn had it right, just like when he said "I directly understood" (directly = immediately). Learn your language, people :=>
  • @Kathy It could be an intentional score reduction, or it could just be a difference in the level. So far, the only level where I can prove it happens is DZ-22.
  • Ah, that's what I thought @Kelani, now I just have to figure out how to view source on Safari...
  • @fenikus because you'd need a lab-grade 100-200 mesh sieve to get gold dust out of a river. That's why they use pans :P

Surely Safari has an option. I ditched it on my pad for Chrome.

edit: Crap. I just checked. In BP the pound sign kills the link. May work in a PM
edit2: Adding a \ before the pound fixes it.
  • I have a theory that smaller the device, Rovio makes it easier to get good scores. I dunno, when I was playing around on my android phone, it just seemed easier to hit a jackpot (no proof of this nor I intend to pursue the theory).
