@corvett, I used the 100 bonus crystals at level 21 to evolve the berry bush and got the bear owl with additional crystals gained by removing trees and rocks. The crystals collected earlier in the game did not helped because it was all used up unintentionally. At that time I did not know about the greatday bonus. When I redeemed “greatday” I got a further 430 crystals, enough for me to get the land whale and further evolve the berry bushes. Now both the berry bushes are at 38 max and not 50 max.

My game don't log in level 17... Someone knows WHAT can I do?? Already reinstall, restart the phonne, and nothing... if I play with another account or as a guess player, the game launch normally, when I try log with 17 level account dont log and close the game. It's my second start, before when I was at level 18 the account simple disapear... now Don' LOG... anyone knows some trick ? I really want play...
-
@samoht, at this moment that's the only code I know of. I don't know if you used it already, but the longer you wait the more crystals you get. So if you're in level 18 you get less crystals then when you use the code in level 21. I didn't know this so I used it in level 17 and didn't get that many crystals. :(

Message:
I am at level 21, and no experience is showing. Before I forget about the game for ages untill it is updated, I wanted to ask...
Are the points still being added ?
If I get enough experience when the game is updated will I jump to the level I should be on but just have different \"chores\" to do?
If you could confirm that I will be credited with experience earned during the waiting time untill the next levels are available I would be very happy
thank you
and the answer that came in is
Hello Lucy,
and thank you for contacting us.
I would like to inform you that the current version of the Croods contains 20 levels and when a user reaches 21st level, you will see a notification saying 'Coming Soon' on the level-up counter. The new update of the Croods that contains new levels starting from 21st will be released very soon. The level 21 progress starts from the beginning just like when you hit any new level, which means that if and when new content is introduced, the XP progression will start from zero.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
Nadir

SO.. The extras we do are not counted. I think I will wait untill the new levels arrive before trying to level up all my creatures.
-
@lucylastic I disagree with your conclusion. I am also at level 21 and log in in out throughout the day to shift resources around. I think this is better than not playing until an update. That way when the update does land you have a much higher and faster capacity for advancing.
With the first 20 levels, I did not have any problems advancing to the next level. The chores Gran gave easily gave enough XP to reach the next level. -
I agree with hunterman about experience gain. The little bit of experience lost from continuing to gather at level 21 is, imho, teensy compared to the benefits gained from evolved creatures and their homes. While not playing nearly as often, I still log in several times a day to feed the creatures. All are now at max level except two of the Zeaver homes, and those are just waiting out the timer. I still continue to accumulate resources though, and even waste soup for the coin rewards. YMMV.
-
@samoht, I think the neighbor simply shows what's possible in the game thus far, like all the creatures and their homes, and decorations. I haven't noticed that visiting him does anything or changes anything.
By the way, I'm finally able to get back into the game. Hope everyone else can too! -
So I should go ahead and take the rewards I 've.built up to save for the next level I still have a.few things to do.I am still trying to get enough sticks to get the last part for grug to build and need 2more fishcats and 2more zeavers I play every day. Three times a day to build up points for these items
-
@catie, I wouldn't recommend taking Granny quest rewards if you're at level 21. Save doing that for when the update comes, and you'll probably have enough to get the next level already.
What doesn't seem to matter are the xp points lost from harvesting. The gain from continuing to evolve creatures and their homes is greater than the points lost because xp no longer accumulates at level 21. My opinion anyway, for what it's worth. -
Hallelujaaahh!!!!
I've started building my last Zeaver home!! :)
Another 160 hours waiting and I've got all my homes.
Then the process of evolving them all and getting all my animals to max speed will be my next challenge. That will take weeks/months, all my "higher" creatures needs to be speed up from level 2/3 and they all need >20 each time for the levels 4 and 5. -
@ Namoh you see your xp points on the top left, it's the bar that comes out of the level number.. It's not like you can read exactly how many points you have but you get an idea. It's not a crazy question cause it does not actually say 'xp points'..
Am not redeeming the xp for granny's quest on level 21, hoping it will add to the next upgrade. It's halfway through May so its gotta be soon! -
@samoht, that's the question everyone here is hoping to get the answer from.
We're all waiting for the update.
Last update was a few days (if not weeks) earlier available on Android then on iOS.
So I think the Android users probably will get the new release again quicker then the iOS users.
No one knows when the update will come and what it will bring....?
We'll hope on new animals, new chores, possibilities to unlock Eep/Sandy/Thunk/Guy, possibility to earn crystals (I lost again 12 crystals by tapping this morning), etc, etc, etc. -
I would also like to see new gameplay elements. For instance, I would like to have a character that could do some first player exploring/discovery in the likeness of classic zelda/Harestmoon games. I think it could be incorporated into this genre and would make things a whole lot more intersting than the nevending collect and trade which I have to say is addicting and boring at the same time.
In all of the monotny I started the 2nd evolve of my first catfish home and soon should be starting the 1st evolve of my third zeaver home. Oh - and it takes forever to collect soup to level up the last 3 animals. -
@namoh re: your May 12 post... Not sure what platform you're on, but I'm on iOS and I can move homes that are in the process of evolution. Just touch and hold your finger on the home for 2 or 3 seconds and the red x / green check move icons will appear. Works on any home, under construction or not.
-
@abirdnerd, thanks, but Kelski also mentioned this somewhere earlier in this thread.
Unfortunately at that time I was waiting on a Zeaver home which was in the process of building, so not evolving. Homes which are build are not possible to be moved. Evolving homes are indeed by the way you and Kelski described (hold your finger on the home for 3 seconds and the move icon appears). -
For my part, I'm hoping the update doesn't come for at least a week. I've committed all 3 of my mudcat and 2 of my 3 zeaver homes to final evolves. I'll have no mud supplier if the update comes. Everything else is done and I'm just stockpiling hundreds of fish, bones, feathers and feeding the whale. Keeps me occupied. I've found the game to be a pleasant diversion....like a baseball game; leisurely with frequent moments of excitement. Thanks to all for tips and tricks.
-
For me the fun of a game is the challenges you get, doing the effort for those challenges and after that getting the reward for the challenges. With stockpilling the coming challenges will be just a few clicks, that would ruin the fun for me.
But then again, you can tell us what the coming challenges are and what is needed for it! :) -
Hi all, can someone help, I'm on level 17 of the croods and the main body of the screen has gone blank, I can still access the tasks, traps, homes, etc. This happened before at level 15 so I re-installed, signed up with rovio and started again from scratch. I love this game but I really can't bear the thought of having to start again and have the same thing happen a 3rd time!! Please help!
-
I didn't.
Currently evolving 1 of my Zeaver houses.
Still need to evolve all of my Zeaver houses to the maximum.
Still need to build a dreamcatcher.
Still need to boost the following animals to max: crocopups, sharkodiles, albatroceros, cat fish and zeavers. Some are still on level 1. :(
After that I need to unlock the forklift!!
How are is the rest? -
Update from Rovio....
My question: Any news on game update release dates etc?
Rovio's answer:
Thanks for contacting us! Unfortunately I am not able to answer your question concerning the update as our staff does not answer questions about release dates or new versions.
News on updates will be announced on our website, newsletter and though our Facebook page and on Twitter. Generally, we will not publish any release dates before updates are ready and available. This is to make sure we don't give out release dates we cannot always guarantee we will hit.
Thank you for your understanding! -
@piesangprins this is no surprise. Back in late 2010 and early 2011 Rovio was posting release dates on their Twitter account when followers asked. Whoever handled the Twitter account back then would post the release date and then on more than a few occasions would be wrong and then tweet again that the release was pushed back a week. This pissed a lot of gamers off so they immediately changed their social approach and forbid responding to follows asking for release dates and only posted solid releases (most likely ones that were already submitted to app stores).
-
@lostgreybird off topic, but remember the release of rio beach volley? that's the one I remember. people went bananas over that release. it said may in the app and it was pushed back to late may. ("it's may 1st now and I haven't got the update!!??") I think Rovio figured after that no release was ever gonna be "hinted" like that EVER again..
-
Rovio can't win it seems. It's a free game (for the most part), but some are restless for an expansion; if they delay some will complain, but if they rush out a buggy version some will complain. Patience will hopefully be rewarded with an entertaining sequel.....and maybe my zeaver homes will be fully evolved by then...264 hours ...seriously??? :)
-
@antwan83 that is exactly the update im thinking of. I forgot which one it was but i just remember that I was watching their twitter account daily and interacting with them. Then all of a sudden that happened and it seemed like they must have fired the guy and completely overhauled their social presence.
