How do you activate an Angry Birds power-up? Page 1

    OK-at the risk of sounding stupid..I am having no trouble getting through the walk-throughs so far, except for one thing. When you get to level 1-12, it shows the small blue bird splitting up into 3 even tinier birds. On this level, it looks like it split up after it hit. But on other levels, it looks like it will split up while in the sky heading toward the target. Is there some special way to get the blue bird to split up into the 3 birds when you want it to? Thanks.

    You activate a bird's power by tapping the screen (on a touch-screen device) or by clicking the mouse (on Mac/PC). This must be done before the bird touches anything.
