Yep, that's exactly what I do :-)
-
I also have 99 + on a lot of my animals. The reason I do it is to store up to feed later and then maybe buy soup. I find that it's not necessary to soup up the Zeaver and mud cat. They produce slowly but there's nowhere to spend their product except on soup. These animals take a LOT of soup to level up and I'm happy the way they are. Maybe I won't be happy when we get the upgrade, but I guess we will see. Unfortunately, I am sick to death of waiting for the upgrade and am losing interest fast. I check in to this site more than I play cuz you guys are more interesting!
-
@Deebs, of course we're much more interesting then the game!! ;)
BUT so are you!!
I'm now going to get the Dream Catcher.
After that I'll finish the forklift and then I'll start with upgrading all my Zeaver homes to max, not because it's necessarry but just to have something to do.........where's that new release!! -
A lot of what I'm doing in the game now is "just because" - almost like a weird completist approach to the game. Yesterday I was able to frequently go into the game and stay on top of production and I actually built up a surplus of leaves and had all my Albatroceroses and Crocopups fully fed. Then I went to bed. The leaf production halted at 18 leaves for each Giralephant and what I had in the cave plus that production wasn't even enough to fully feed all my Crocopups. So now I'm back to limping along, limited once again by the speed of berry and leaf production. This is what I find most frustrating about the game. If they aren't going to make the feeding ratios more reasonable, they need to reduce the times for production, it really shouldn't be both. Almost like, if you want a Giralephant to produce 1 leaf immediately, give it 3 carrots, but if you're willing to wait the 4 minutes, feed it one.

I really hope there will be a new update soon with more levels and a new area. If you look at the second area you can actually see a open spot in the forest where the next update might have a new area. I´m really waiting...
-
@Namoh - yeah, the Land Whale needs 3 x 10, 3 x 20, 3 x 30 and then 3 x 40 to be level five. All total 300 soups to be at max.
If I ever finish all my Sharkodiles at level 5, I still have a ways to go with my FishCats and Zeavers, it will be a LONG time before I even think about leveling-up my Bear Owls and Land Whales. -
Hello there all you Croods devotees. I've not checked the forum for over a month now, but think the fact that my email inbox is full every day with notifications of comments means that there's more going on in the forum than there is in the game. Is there any news? If not you might all like to try playing Hay Day before you all die of boredom waiting for the update. (Sorry Rovio, but it's your own fault for being so slow). It's a brilliantly interactive game, if you like the Croods, you will love it, far more sophisticated.

Hi all,
I've been playing for a while now, the funniest part is definitely the placement of decorations.
The rest of the game is now just click and wait...
I have just the amount of animals Gran asked me to tame (and an extra Owl and Whale to see what they are like).
I'm not planning to tame more animals than necessary, since they would be useless with my "small" 38-berry bushes.
Here are some pics of the decoration arrangements.
All the animals have the full 15% boost, but the Zeaver (but there is still place for it)
and the Owl and Whales I never use (maybe I'll give them full decorations too if there is nothing else to do in the game).
7 Molarbears and 5 Bunnies
http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b564/Val821/1Molars_Bunnies_zps23fab231.jpg
3 Albatroceros (The Zeaver and the Whale are near there now, but there is still some space in the second area)
http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b564/Val821/2Albatroceros_zps8e7b4c5c.jpg
5 Giralephants and the Bear Owl (The Bear Owl misses his totem, I could place it by shifting all the Crocoldiles left)
http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b564/Val821/3Giralephs_Owl_zps9fe0fdb6.jpg
5 Crocopups and 3 Shakodiles
http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b564/Val821/4Crocos_Sharks_zpsee50d5b3.jpg
2 Fishcats (soon to become 3, I hope). There is space for the third on the other side of the totem
http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b564/Val821/5Fishcats_zpsc652009d.jpg
I hope I will not be asked to tame more animals in these two areas or everything will fall apart!
Well, maybe just a second Zeaver would be fine...
Do you know of other alternative or better solutions to place the decorations? -
All my animale are on max speed now, damn what a work.
@Val, check this thread. 2 different setups have been posted.
1 by PeterJohn0, not all animals are fully boosted but he's got more animals then everybody else!! All max plus 2 LandWhales and 3 OwlBears!!
The other setuphas been posted by hunterman (I think, doing this on my Iphone, not in the mood for scrolling a lot). That setup has all animals fully boosted! -
Thank you @Namoh.
Wow I'm amazed at the number of creatures in the pictures you @PeterJohn0 and @hunterman have! I will be studying those images for a while...
@PeterJohn0 I'm also surprised by the amount of coins you own! I wouldn't have thought it could be possible to collect so much money.
I'm finding more and more frustrating the collection of soup (i.e., the whole game), now I'm always asked for leaves but the gyralephants are still so slow after full boost and full decorations.
PS: and now I'm also in this famous 21st level! -
I am evolving my zeaver and that should be done by next weekend. After that all my task are done. Then I will start evolving the rest of my animals but it is going to be slow since I have the same problem she always wants leaves and carrots. I have quit feeding the bunnies and the birds and the fishcats because I am full in the cave plus lots of extras. I probably have 500 in rocks 300 in mud and 300 or more of feathers. I am playing on my kindle so I can't refresh the screen to get different soup recipes. It is getting a little boring. I hope on the update they lower the waiting time and have more active people.
-
Oh god ihave problem......which one has produse much coins for once full ,at the first....land whal or bear owl?✨
-
@Val - I didn't think it would be possible either, but as I finish my goal of bringing all of my Sharkodiles to level 5, I am, as of this post, at 616,993 gold coins. As soon as I can get my 3rd Zeaver up to level 3, I will begin the process to evolve its home, so that will knock off almost 60K from my savings, but selling resources for soups to level up my FishCats to level 5 prior to that will more than offset the expenditure.
My hope is that when they do finally give us the update, the new area will have objects to remove, like each of the previous areas did, and I'll have plenty of gold coin to remove everything.
Update on my Sharkodiles: four are now level 5 and the fifth one is 2/3 of the way to level 4
My two other Zeaver homes finished evolving, so out of all my animal homes, I only have one that's not fully evolved now.
So things are progressing, albeit at a slow pace.

Hi All,
I'm juggling with the idea of launching a massive 'home evolving project',
Zeaver homes
1 already evolving from L2 to L3 (191h left)
I would start the evolve of the 2 other homes L1 to L2
Cost: 20 muds and 97,200 coins.
FishCat homes
1 already evolving from L2 to L3 (125h left)
1 would start the evolve of 1 L1 and 1 L2 home
Cost: 15 bones, 5 sticks and 53,460 coins.
Sharkodiles
Already got 2 fully evolved homes
1 already evolving from L2 to L3 (42h left)
I would start the evolve of 2 last homes from L2 to L3
Cost: 20 muds and 24,300 coins
Crocopups, GiraElephants, MolarBears homes and creatures are fully evolved and fully decorated, so i would continue pilling up on Bones,Leaves and Carrots, cave is already full of theses and i got 99+ on Molarbears and 1 GiraElephant.
Total cost
174,960 of the 285,000+ i currently have
15 bones (my cave is full so no problem here)
40 muds (my cave currently at 33 so i might hold off a bit at evolving one of the Sharkodiles homes)
5 sticks (my cave currently at 16 so no problem here)
Side effect stop Stick, Mud for a few days, fish would continue as i already have 2 fully evolved homes.
Any recommendations?
Thanks! -
I would feed everything to the max and start evolving asap.
My last 2 Zeaver homes just started to L3.
All animals boosted. 600.000+ coins.
Will finish the forklift (last task open), then get all animals to 99+ and then switch to another game if no update has been released at that time.
It's unbelievable Rovio is letting us down like this. :( -
@Namoh; probably better to launch everything ASAP and wait it out the evolve of the homes.
Meanwhile i'll boost my Bunny Beast and Albatroceros to their max and wait or simply move on to another game while this completes and check back once in a while to see if Rovio made us a surprise. -
@MisterGiF, yes I would feed all your Zeavers, CatFishes, etc to the max and then start the evolve of the homes. That way during the evolve you still get some sticks, fish, etc.
Hay Day sounds promising............Rovio, I think you lost another player, I'm going to check that game! -
@Namoh, waited that every creature finished eating their current ration, feed, then evolved home.
First evolve to finish is in 20 hours, by then i will have enough bones piled up to fully feed that Sharkodile.
After that it will be another 24h before another home finishes evolving... -
@ Deebs
Really glad you like it. There's an amazing, really interactive forum too. Look me up, same name. You need to make friends on GC as they help you in the game, yes interaction with real people! The game is so much more more complex and sophisticated than Croods in every way. The forum is really important because there's so much help and info there. You can play the game without it, but it's hard. Also I like the fact that its not as diamond grabbing as Croods. You can play for free or for very little and you can get help from 'in game' friends from all over the world. -
I have posted 2 screenshots on May 9 showing all 5 crocopups and 5 sharkodiles at 15% boost with 4 decorations. But now, there’s no opportunity for me to try other layouts to reduce it to 3 simply because there’s no more space left.
BTW, what’s is the minimum number of decorations for 9 fully boosted Molarbears? I have to use 6. Is there a way to use the minimum and still share the logs with the bunny beasts?
Are we getting more than 15% boost? For example, a level 5 zeaver without any decoration produces 6.6 sticks/day. With 15% boost, the same level 5 zeaver produces 8.9 sticks/day! Anyone can explain how they go about the calculations? Thanks.

The new animal is called Ramu and looks like this: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=523529124374511&set=a.308072755920150.70721.232213853506041&type=1&theater

Home: 2700 coins 10 feathers
Tame: 1 h 35 min for each two bones.

Does anyone know if the forklift can be done now?
-
NEWS:
Achievements are now available for android! -
Wow, instead of 160+ hours for my Zeavers to evolve to the max, it now only takes 20+ hours to finish!!
Also the speed of the Zeavers went up!
It was 8.9 sticks/day, it's now 10.7sticks/day!!
What will the eggs do?
Where to place the Ramu?
No new land, but another home to place......?
Anyone already building the home for the Ramu?
So resume:
- needed soups are gone up with this "upgrade"
- speed of production is higher
- speed of evolving is higher
- 1 new animal, no clue yet, what it does and if it's useful
- you can contact Facebook friends for presents......what if none of your frineds is playing this game, because they all like Hay Day better..??
I hope the next update will bring more land (enough to place all allowed animals), more animals and reduction in needed soups, I mean 3 x 44 for the Zeavers??
I'm glad I just boosted them to the max.
-
@Namoh Why are you complaining? The Croods is a great game and this thread is not about complaining about bad updates! This is where you ask for help, tell others you tricks and so on. If there is an update with a new creature, less time for building homes, new splash screen, daily rewards, you can see how much XP that is required to level up and new missions you should be happy!
-
@MisterGiF, but we're not linked on FB........
I know the new animal is a Ramu, but no clue what it does (excpet producing eggs) and if it's useful -
@badpiggies could you share a screenshot of those android achievements? It's an interesting addition. Thanks
-
@Bad piggies, to be honest..............this new update is just a way to try to satisfy us.
We're already waiting more then 6 weeks for level 22 and up to be available.
This new update has some small new features which are fun, but not more then that.
Daily rewards, the 5 I got we're just small amounts of coins. I can get them quicker by creating soup. Knowing how many xp's you've got is nice, but I always just did the chores from Gran and then you know you'll level up once you've done those.
New creature is nice, but can't place more then 1 (and even no decorations next to it) because there's no room available. The less building time and higher speed of the animals is also nice, but we're still stuck at level 21. You can now buy coins from crystals..................who needs that? The other way around would be much better!!
We all have enough coins, but we lack crystals.
I lost another 52 crystals yesterday because there's no confirmation when you feed an animal and don't have enough food in the cave for it. If you then accidently click on Get Now or Fill Up during your tapping those crystals are gone!!
I'm know building the Ramu home which will be ready within 15 hours, after that I'll need to evolve the home and boost the animal and then........still stuck at level 21 and the new features don't really add that much too the game.
Again, the update is nice, but not what a lot of us hoped for.
Or am I the only one who has this perception?
