  • I havent read through all the posts here - so this may have been suggested long ago - but what about a live chat room/area where you can talk back and forth with other users in real time. I'm sure there would be moderation issues, but it could be a fun way for the community to communicate.
  • That would be great, PlayDBird. We could talk faster.
  • Pushed live some updates to, http://www.angrybirdsnest.com/about/badges-ranking. It's not perfect, but you can now get a high level view of who has what. Note, this helps us admins too. Now that we can better tell who has what I imagine we'll be assigning new badges to people.
  • Thanks Bird Leader
  • Because of the long thread I don't know if anyone ask this already, but is there a member list somewhere? sorry if there is and I am not looking properly, but if there is none, it would be nice to see how man members the Nest has. also It would be easier to find someone if you want to start a conversation.

Btw BL good job on the badge display!
  • It would be far too large. With the new tweaks to the Badges & Ranking post, you can see the majority of the users by simply clicking on the ranks.
  • Ah to bad, but I understand. would love to know how much members the Nest contains right now. Do you know?

Btw, is there any way to add usernames to the search engine. I ask this, because someone mentioned in a message to me something about an other member (sorry forgot the name). I wanted to check the profile of that person, but couldn't find a comment made by that member. I tried the search engine, but It didn't included the names of the author of the comment.
  • I know that in the forum, users have the option of going in and editing posts. Is it possible to add that functionality to the rest of the site? I personally hade finding typos in my work after it has become permanent. And it seems that lately my fingers have minds of their own.
  • @E-Star and @CmdrBond -- We are doing a lot of looking at things like that, but Bond's option is not a bad one. It's not perfect, as some users' display name doesn't match their username (e.g., BirdLeader = @angrypig), but it works in general.

@Burbman Unfortunately, no, that doesn't exist at this time, and from what I remember, that functionality has BirdLeader a bit worried about repercussions (on things like Google and such). Don't hold me at 100% fact on that, but it's my recollection.
  • If all goes as planned we will have some very exciting updates coming in the near future that will make ABN much more "social" for those who want it. Let's hope things go as planned.
  • That's exciting:)
  • @BirdLeader Great! More socialising means more fun :D
  • Thanks CmndrBond, that's a good idea :)

@BL Good luck on the tweaking, i'm exhited to see what you have in store for us!
  • @BirdLeader - that sounds very interesting, hope the update goes well, I look forward to it.
  • Very nice
  • Hi BirdLeader,
Re the new socialising/chat section, will it mean we can talk about things that aren't game related? Reason being there is a story today, here in Australia, that was about a real life angry bird and I would have loved to have posted a link but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere we can't discuss things that aren't game related in the Forum.
  • I have a couple of ideas. I think this site need a tutoriar telling how to backup your process.
We all know someone who has lost something in this era of hard drives and other "unstable" storages. For example, the guide would tell you how to backup your contents from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad in case of crash or something like that. And of course it would contain the other platforms, such as Android, Mac and PC etc.

What do you think? I think this would save people many saves and crashes.

The second idea I have is existing already, but I think it would need a little bit more tweaking. Is it possible to somehow get a section which tells you if someone has commented somewhere where you have commented? (i.e. if someone replies to my post here, the site would tell me this) There's this option which lets us to subscribe to our post, but I think it's a bit clumsy if the replies come to email. The chatter is doing this job, but it's a bit short for long-time comments.
  • That already exists for iOS: http://www.angrybirdsnest.com/how-to-transfer-angry-birds-progress-between-ios-devices/

For Mac/PC, you need only find the data files on your computer.

That's simply subscribing to a page. Read more on the FAQ: http://www.angrybirdsnest.com/about/faq/
  • Okay, thanks. I'll check those.
  • @EasyEagle17 how about to make sharing this site? or share to facebook or twiter?
  • has anyone suggested an overall super leaderboard that tracked total points in all the individual leaderboards (or at least just the core apps)?? It would be interesting to see how players stacked up across all the games, not just 1. just a thought :-)

    keep up the good work!
  • I don't think that would be fair - as not everyone can play all the different versions. And some people would not want to either.

  • Right, there are too many variations of what levels are available (e.g., Danger Zone, Facebook/Twitter levels in Seasons, etc.)
  • I'm not entirely sure this has been mentioned, but due to the rigors of Auto-correct on certain devices and someone *points finger at himself* getting ahead of himself in certain strategy descriptions: Would it be possible to allow only the user that commented or an admin to edit/delete an entry they made as a comment? Or is this possible, given that points are administered to a users ranking upon commenting on a walkthrough, news story, etc?
  • We can edit comments without effecting points and such. But we don't read every post super carefully, so you'll have to let us know.
  • I've noticed your work. Especially regarding my Danger Addict badge. I didn't know if it was possible to add an edit function on our end, to save you guys the trouble. I do most of my posts on my phone, and auto-correct gets away with a lot. Especially when I'm super excited about a breakthrough on a level. I mean, you guys are busy enough as it is. It's not a big deal, just a suggestion. You guys are doing an amazing job!
  • I don't think that functionality will exist in the near future.
  • That's cool Slim. Thanks for getting back to me. Have a good day!
  • I don't know how much use this would be - but may I suggest something for the leaderboards?

On the overview of the leaderboards, there is an image of a mini golden egg next to the min 3 star score for that level, if a GE exists within that level.

May I suggest a mini Santa hat next to the min 3 star score of the Seasons Greedings levels that are/were affected by the exploding Santa hat glitch.

I think this will help identify at a glance those high scores which are unobtainable for people who are revisiting the level to improve their scores.
  • We have thought about doing something like this, but haven't gotten to it yet. In the meantime, we did tag 'em all (even that was a bit of a struggle: http://www.angrybirdsnest.com/tag/santa-hat-glitch/)
  • NP. I was thinking that the image, if linked to anything, would be linked to that page anyway.

    Thank you for the response.
  • A suggestion for the walkthrough pages - you show the three star min score, and the score of the current leader...what about showing the average score on that same walkthrough page, along with those other two? That way you don't have to click back to the leaderboards to see if you're above or below the average score...
  • This has been suggested many times. It's on the to-do
  • I haven’t reread all 6 pages so forgive me if this has been requested/suggested before. The Top Scorer on all the Leaderboards receives a gold cup. Is it possible to award a Silver cup to 2nd and Bronze to 3rd? I thought it might make a nice addition in light of the upcoming Olympic Games plus I’m sure all the 2nd and 3rd place getters would appreciate something for coming so close to the top.
  • Good idea. This exists for each episode, but not for individual levels. We would (and need) to sort out ties before things like this would work properly though.
  • Wasn't there once a character page on this site that told you the bird's powers and weaknesses?
  • I also love AngryBirdsNest. It would be cool if it would give ABN as an app :-) @Admins give best :-)
  • There was a forum topic on birds characters. I think all of it was added to glossary. Original is probably several pages down in forum.
  • Offline chat ABN program? That would be sweet.
  • You mean online chat? (Offline means without Internet, which is impossible since this site is on the Internet)

This feature could have been added when we updated the profile system but we made a conscience decision to NOT include it. Even now, we are hesitant to allow this feature as there are a lot of moderation and content worries.
  • What do you think about creating a toolbar for Firefox, Safari, IE and Chrome?
  • I wish we could edit our profile picture by making it more light or more dark or whatever we can do on MS Word. That would be good.
  • This one's about Leaderboards. On one video, for example, the player got 3 stars with a 77,000 score. You cound create a column with 3 stars and we could choose 1, 2 or 3 stars, so everyone could see that I got 3 stars not with a 77,000 highscore but, for example, with 75,500.
  • 1. Any chance the Web Based Leaderboards can more up the priority list with the recent huge addition of web games. Starting it now should make it easier for future releases considering it seems that the web games are going to start coming out more and more frequently.

    2. Love to see a Feather icon to switch off and on on Leaderboard levels showing that you have Feathered the level & it would cause you to move up the leaderboard because of the additional achievement.
  • @mirandocosgrove We don't have the manpower to create things like toolbars. You can edit your profile picture on your own and then upload it to the site. I don't understand your third point... A leaderboard lists your highscore. That's just how it is.

@lostgreybird We have no immediate plans to create a Web leaderboard. The feather idea we have considered before, but we have not done so because it takes up valuable horizontal space, which is quite limited. I don't see how it would move you on the leaderboard though, as the sort is should only ever be by score.
  • you can delete that post "Web Based Leaderboards" I can't seem to figure out how to delete it myself.
