  • you too @penguin!
@all while transferring my data from my old ipod touch to the Ipod touch 5, my apps lost their memory, luckily i was able to save my AB data, but my others apps i'm afraid were not so lucky
  • Hey @kathy I'm at my mom's family's house hope u have fun with family
  • Thx @angryboy hope u have a gr8 Christmas
  • Ooh no @angryboy that stinks:( maybe @E-Star can help you retrieve the data from other apps..
  • i did @penguin
@kathy yea... but somehow my GC scores are still alive, but not in the app
  • Merry Christmas to Everyone!!

We are opening presents now so I gotta go, but wanted to pop in real quick!
@angryboy I believe e-star can possibly help you with that :)
Love to you all!! See ya later :)
  • Ooohhh did you have a backup program ,? Mine took a couple tries but then it restored my app scores..
  • Hey @Kimmiecv hope you get lots of lot:)
  • i do @kathy, but i dont think im doing it right
  • @kathy: "lots of lot"? Yikes! Somebody looted an 'o'! LOLOL ;)
  • Dats nice 2 hear @angryboy I had a gr8 Christmas 2 I'm with family
  • Merry Christmas everybody!! Hope you all are enjoying a nice dinner with family!

@Aboy, what seems to be the problem with the transfer? Did you back up from the most recent play?
  • Or is your backup from a couple of days ago? If so, the game centre in App might be confused about you having more points in the Game Centre than actually in the game. Hope this makes any sense :s
  • @Estar i'm in need of your assistance please! my back-up was pretty recent,(i can make another back-up if necessary for the games) just having trouble with the 'transferring part', it acts like it doesn't want to be overwritten, or i'm just doing it wrong. while transferring my data from my old ipod to my new ipod, all my apps lost their data, got AB's back, but couldn't get the others, i have data of the ones that i worked hard on, but don't know how to transfer those games(it's looks to be in a different file format), i tried transferring, but it didn't work. i still have my old device with the data
  • Which others are you referring to?
  • games, like... bad piggies, amazing alex, wheres my water/perry, jetpack joyride, fruit ninja, flow free, and a couple others
  • And did you download these games onto your new ipod? And did you play at least one level?
  • Ahhh flow free... Addicting game! I bought all levels on the iPad, crazzzy 14x14!! Hahah
  • yes and yes(well... most games, amd spme o played alot of)
  • IKR! me too
  • Amd spme?? What ya mean?

And when you wanted to transfer files Are they named the same? Sometimes the transfer doesn't want to replace files and you need to delete the files on your new iPod first and than copy the files from your old iPod to the new. I know flow did work, but not sure which file it was. i need to look that one up. The other games I don't have... Are they free? I can see if I can try tomorrow if I can download them and try to work out how to transfer those, but I don't think I have time for all of them, so which ones you realllllly want back?
  • i mean 'and some i played a lot of'
  • Ow hahaha
  • not sure what you mean 'named the same'. some of them are free, i want back, wheres my water/perry(i have paid version but their is a free version), fruit ninja and jetpack joyride, bad-piggies, PAC-MAN(i have paid version but their is a free version), and cut the rope
  • The folders of the games do differ pretty much from AB, but sometimes with a little browsing you stumble on a file that is named "highscore" or something along those lines... And if you feel adventures, maybe try replacing an entire folder of a game... I don't think there can't get anything lost if all the progress is still on your old iPod, right? And worse case senario, if the app after a entire folder copy doesn't start, delete it from you iPod and download it again. But only if you feel adventures, if you aren't sure, just wait for me, I will give you a note which files from which games you will need.
  • i think thats right, ill try to look for the folder, but i could get lost in disc-aid
  • I am checking Where is my water right now, so I will let you know when I succeed :D
  • okk, @Estar, thanks!
  • @ABoy!!! Found it :D

Where is my water Perry transfer file is: PerryGame>Library>perry.db
Replace that file with the one from your old iPod and I think it should work. I only tried it with a few levels and I have really no idea if there are other things involved that might be missing (looks like a fun game!)
  • trying it now, it's a very fun game
  • For Fruit Ninja just delete everything in the Documents folder and replace it with the stuff from your old iPod's Documents folder, this seems to do the trick. There are to many files there to sort thru, so I just copied all the files. Note: you can't delete the documents folder itself, so you will have to delete the files in the document folder itself and replace it with the old iPod files.
  • Fruit Ninja, not my type of game, so I didn't research it all to much, so I hope you will get what you need by replacing the files in the documents folder.
  • it worked @Estar! thank you thank you thank you!!!
  • :D always glad to help!
  • Ooohhh my notifications messed up again*stomps feet, missed all everyone*
    Darn !!
  • Hi kathy!!! [[[hugggssss]]]]] how was dinner? did the extra party people leave yet?
  • @Aboy I think the same goes for Jetpack, just delete everything in the document folder of the NEW ipod. So connect old, make a copy... disconnect so you don't accidentally delete the wrong one!! hook up the new and delete everything in the documents folder > copy the files from the old iPod onto the new
  • Aboy did you get my previos comment about fruit Ninja? see above :D
  • @Estar couldn't get FN to work, but that one isn't too important, so i'll try to get my data back the 'old-fashion way'
  • i'll give JJ a try @Estar!
  • What happened to FN... did you delete (so not replace, but select all in the Documents folder and delete?) everything in the folder documents? and than replace everything with the stuff from the old iPod?
  • JJ worked! thank you @Estar!!!!!!
  • i don't think i did FN correct, i'll try it again
  • @Estar now it deleted all my progress i made(so far) on FN on my NEW device
  • ow ow, you mean FN? didn't think you where that far because I thought you just started to transfer the data. FN still doesn't work?
  • yes, still doesn't work
  • maybe for the other game transfers make an extra backup from you new device?
  • Strange, I did with me... so when you deleted all the files was the folder document completely empty?
  • So sorry Aboy for loosing the new progress in FN :(
