Bad Piggies Flight in the Night Level 4-2 is three starred using two contraptions. To avoid the Krak-Snap, use a four-box-long contraption with two blue rockets along the bottom and the red rocket on top. Trigger red then blue in quick succession to loop-the-loop. For the star box, drop a blue rocket to have the contraption splinter atop the loop. The crack in the ground will allow debris to clear the way.

A three-box vehicle with just the two blue rockets works for the first part. Then add the fourth box and a red rocket pointing backwards. Trigger the two blues, then, as you hit the slope, the red to stop at the top of the loop. Not better – just different!
This star seems to be unobtainable in the latest version of the game. There are many vehicles which can reach the flag w/out cracking up but it seems due to the vehicle hitting the wall right afterward, the game will not give the star. I even tried putting the egg and pig stacked on top of one another in the front so they both reach the flag before any part of the vehicle breaks, but it still will not give the star.
In the latest versions, the old method does not work. It will sometimes work if both egg and pig are at the front for the krak-snap star. The game seems to give the krak-snap star to when the egg and pig touch the end.
