  • Angry Birds Surf and Turf Level 35 Walkthrough hi @r-l-l , thanks for the compliment. my scores were not questioned. i left the nest and cleaned up because of disagreeing with the policies, already for a long time and the situation only getting worse, with admins not even reading/responding. the above was the the tipping point for me. will have fond memories, and maybe even play from time to time, but no more nest for me. enjoy playing (ab or golf or ...)!
  • Angry Birds Surf and Turf Level 35 Walkthrough could you please read what i wrote and react seriously instead of this knee-jerk re(a/je)ction @birdleader i read and understood the rules as they were when i registered, 10 years ago, but i never signed up for the changed rules and was never informed of them, or asked about them. rule change is not an easy topic i surmise and should not be taken lightly. i am not saying that the rules cannot be changed; i did say that the rules on strategies are nonsense imo and that in general you should reconsider (acting on) rules if they threaten to estrange long-standing members of the community (especially when these actions are initiated by someone who is competing with him) by vandalising his scores (the slogan is `the #1 angrybirds /community/'; following @yor-el 's score progression i think he was just going about his business as usual, on a better platform); in particular i proposed a rule change wrt legacy scores (something which people probably never had dreamt of in the first version of the rules; a site forthis type of game still active after 10 years?) which could preserve scores of people no longer active. anyway, i have said what i wanted to say. i will check in again in one week (btw as far as i know i've never communicated with @yor-el , and don't know him. reading some previous discussions in star wars i recall he may not be the easiest person to communicate with, but that's fine with me. no reason to insult him. my self-interest is also rather limited since i am largely inactive; just following the site like i follow daily comics.)
  • Angry Birds Surf and Turf Level 35 Walkthrough @admins @bernersenn : just so you know, i'm siding here with @yor-el . i give you one week from now to restore @yor-el 's scores. more generally, the changes of the rules and their enforcement are ill-informed, not to my liking at all, and should be undone imo. wrt providing strategies: i respect long-standing trusted top-players like @yor-e , @r-l-l and others who hardly ever provide strategies but whose scores show great skill (i never had reason to doubt their scores (**)). part of the challenge is then to think of a good strategy yourself. for me that's the exciting part of the game. the other way around, i noticed that the more precise i am in describing my strategies the more advantage it gives to people using advanced platforms to have easy repetition of difficult shots at high precision (so i understand the hesitance to give away strategies; coca-cola also does not gives away its recipe). imo having to provide strategies is a nonsense rule: it takes away the challenge, it is irrelevant (the competition is about scores) and it cannot be checked (it's nowhere defined what a strategy is (*); keeping track of the play is not an in-game feature and cannot be reproduced after the fact). wrt challenging/removing old scores: i understand that the game is old (more than 10 years) by now, and it's not immediately clear how to deal with legacy scores. but to me challenging a score, say, 5 years after it has been entered, and then removing it because the account is no longer active or the person no longer has the device to prove it, is inconsistent with keeping all the other old scores on this site, and with the idea that the site somehow reflects the best AB scores `out there'. why not keep all scores after having gone unchallenged for 2 years or something like that? (if suspicious scores can go unnoticed for that long, the user base is simply too small so better close shop; unless you want to be there for historical purposes but then it's even more strange to remove old scores). I would also like to avoid harassment of players by overzealous rule-enforcers, by blocking the latter when proven wrong a few, 2 or 3, times; like Hawk-Eye challenges in tennis. wrt retroactively enforcing new rules: in general a difficult debate, but here i'm not in favour of that (consistent with my idea that old scores should not be removed above). (*) fwiw i do active research on the notion of strategy for my work. the random strategy, randomly flinging birds, would fall under my definition of strategy and interestingly any top score can be achieved by it, in principle. so simply answering `i achieved my score by randomly flinging' cannot be challenged/disproven, underlining that requiring to provide a strategy for top scores is nonsense. Note that i'm not saying that one cannot try to offer guidance to people looking for it in the comments and describe some strategy; just saying it is nonsense to /require/ it; i am happy to help out, but myself consider it defeat to have to look in the comments to reach a good/top score. (how to describe the strategy that `caused' a score is also not so easy by the way; cf. Aristotle's doctrine of four causes; indeed one finds descriptions of strategies corresponding to each of the four here in the AB nest comments) (**) i do think that @yor-el not that long ago switched to a new platform, similar in capabilities to the one of the current number one of the AB leaderboard, showing that the latter achieved that position mainly because of his platform (still requiring good skill, but easily challengeable by top-players using the same /a similar platform, as i conjectured several years ago).
  • Angry Birds Piggy Farm Level 34-10 Walkthrough 300k+ scores are reachable i think, that should have been.
  • Angry Birds Piggy Farm Level 34-10 Walkthrough 296970/5, by @desperate-dan 's beautiful strat. got a big finish this time. 250k+ every few tries; 270k+ regularly (needs that the ob zaps instead of pushes the grapes). more needs luck as it depends on the deflation trajectory of ob (clearing up the debris on the platform). looking at the remaining debris it's clear that with some more patience/luck 200k+ scores will be reached.,
  • Angry Birds Surf and Turf Level 32 Walkthrough 130580/2, 1st to take out most of the middle structure, 2nd to debris left on the platform to make it slice through the remainders in the middle and hopefully something then deflects it downward to take out the tower on the right (don't slice through only its top part).
  • Angry Birds BirdDay 5 Level 30-19 Walkthrough 258980/3 by using @vuelva 's 1st. more in it (missed out on 260k when the king pig was bruised but not quite taken out).
  • Angry Birds Bad Piggies Level 21-7 Walkthrough 174930/2 by playing it as everyone else ( right-left is better, both because the right shot is more unreliable, for me, but also because they are not independent, see below) and getting 90k after the 1st, with the carcass of the 2nd landing on the remnants of the middle after bouncing up, and then rolling down for a bit more damage. reasonably repeatable: my previous best of 172930 was with 3 birds, after a very good 1st but one leaving the middle intact. have had better such though (80k, but then messed up with the 3rd not pushing everything off the middle and `only' for 172k) so also with 3 more possible.
  • Angry Birds Jurassic Pork Level 37-6 Walkthrough now up to 172670/3. with a bit more patience 175k+ doable, as stated before
  • Angry Birds Danger Above 3 Star Walkthrough Level 6-15 @steviep147 strat, with only two pigs left after the 1st, all pigs on the lower platform gone, and a 90k+ score. then got lucky with the 2nd getting wedged on the top right between the wall and some of the wood blocks having fallen right, thereby slowly pushing the structure left off the platform for 146700/2. took a bit longer though (an hour or so); best score in the run up till now was 139k (my previous personal best was 141k).
