Angry Birds Surf and Turf Level 25 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Surf and Turf level 25 is to fire the blue bird straight ahead, hitting the boulder with the goal of taking out the leftmost three pigs. Now fling the red bird at the remaining two pigs taking them out. The score in the video below is 58,510.

With this level, you want to super seed blue bird. Aim and split so the top blue bird hits the ice block, and the other blue birds hit below that. If you hit too high, the boulder will go too far to the left. You want the boulder to come down on the TNT area.

Quake to kill whatever is left.

You will probably have to use one additional bird to get last pig on the lower right. Be careful with your aim, it looks easy, but there’s not much room for error. And if you got a successful first shot with TNT detonation, and you fail your second shot, you will be screaming bloody murder.

@AMslimfordy and @dollarbill2208 – I do wonder if there are mixed messages here. The first strat discussed in many of the Surf and Turf levels is how to use powerups – yet they are not allowed. Would it be better to put in a powerup section? Or perhaps put a caution afterwards

ie For interest only -DO NOT ENTER SCORES USING POWERUPS on the leaderboards.

@cjcp There already is a giant disclaimer on the Leaderboards stating that Power Up scores are not permitted. However, I see no reason why people can’t offer the strategies anyways.

Good thought though. I have thought about this very thing. I knew there would be many people who will see it in the same light as what you described. I aim to get the highest score possible, even if I have to use the power ups, which is basically why I haven’t posted a score here in a while. Too busy using the “cheats.”

I agree with @cjcp, I do think it sends a mixed message. Why have strat with powerups posted here when it is not allowed to be posted to leaderboard?

I guess I view this forum as a source for strategies and tips for higher scores in competing on leaderboard. But that thought might be a too narrow minded? Not everyone post their scores.

When I first started to see strats with powerups, it kind of irritated me to even see PU strat suggested in this forum. Plus I always wondered if any of the posted scores for that level is with powerup or not? If powerup strat are presented here some might get the wrong message that it is OK to use PU…… Also might confuse newbies.

If strat is using powerup, then it is of no use to me. On the other hand, Bill has some pretty great strategies. Along the way I got to know that some of his strats can work very well with or W/O powerups.
But, If it is a great new strat with or without powerups, then it maybe it should be post in this forum without mentioning powerups, then that makes it a great strat we can all use!

For those ‘non posting’ flingers who want to use powerups and also share strategies, maybe apply the other suggestion from @CJCP to add a disclaimer ‘do not post PU scores’ within body of strat PU comment. Maybe this would put everyone more at ease? I know it is posted all over the place to not use PU scores on leaderboard, but with this additional warning within strat should remove most doubt that PU scores are not allowed and then it would not be a considered as a possible mixed message. I think this is a great comprise.

I know as a competing, leaderboard posting, non-PU user, I do get on edge with posting of PU strategies. Gives me a lot of doubt that I might be unfairly competing with the PU strat scores on that level. The extra disclaimer in body of comment would put me more at ease.

Just my two cents……

PS….To Bill , Pease take NO direct offense…. not the intent of my comment! I personally don’t believe you post your PU scores…You are way too honest and very up front with your PU use. I also greatly appreciated your input and I have used many of your wonderful (non-PU) strats! Thank you!

I tried BirdJo’s for quite some time as it seems to be producing higher scores(?), but didn’t have any luck. Went back to the Cheryl Ward method, and after a few hundred tries, finally got a decent score. I aimed so that the middle bird hit the ice/glass shelf, one above and one below.

Used Cheryl Ward strategy with @luvtub tip on target point of top left edge. I got it with one bird for 78k+ on second try! Usually takes hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds +…..of tries.

You only need one of the BB to tip over first section and boulder. The key is after BB split, to have one or two of the BB birds to get to the far right tower either tipping it over or breaking glass to expose pigs so TNT/ debris can finish off. Plus extra debris points needed for higher scoring.

I am on my 100+ try to repeat it. Just need to have the moon and north star aligned correctly to earth and mars while at the same time be hopping on one foot to get all exactly right with the first BB shot.

Keep at it…… it is just a matter of time to get all to fall just right for that one bird shot.

First bird aimed to thin vertical stone straight ahead. Late split. If you are lucky then birds will continue to TNT. In my case only the rightmost pig was left after that shot. I aimed the second bird nicely throgh the ice (or glass…) and over it was!

It took me quite a while to get a decent score using the two-birder here. But I had the best luck aiming Blue right where the horizontal ice plank and the small, vertical stone plank meet. I split at the last possible moment to give everything a stronger push to the right. This is definitely one of those “L-Factor” heavy levels.

76,420. One bird a la Cheryl Ward IS possible (but hardly repeatable). Send Bluey ALMOST vertically up so it’ll descent just to the right of the boulder on top of the left-most structure. Time the split (when it is about the same level as the boulder on its way down) and you should break the horizontal glass below the boulder and the one that covers the TNT. This will need heavy perseverance as well as precision (and a HUGE amount of luck). You have been warned… ;)

A slightly different strategy: Aim first bb high, almost vertical and split near the apex in order to fall in reverse order. So… first bird – doesn’t matter, second bird hits left of glass plank over the TNT and third bird hits the glass plank under the stone boulder (left or right end – preferably right).
I did 66k with two birds (fa right pig survived), but I believe 1 bird is possible with some luck.

By AngryAdvisor (@lesleyg)Score: 78,970

I had to use two birds. I sent first bird slightly higher then horizontal and split almost immediately so the the bottom bird of split hits horizontal glass which will cause the verticasl stone plank in the front structure to fall on first piggy and take him out or debris will cause him to roll off. This seems to cause the boulder to fall short and land on glass below instead of going to far and landing on cement plank. (I’m still waiting on it to actually break through the bottom glass for a one birdie ;-)) Meanwhile the top two of the split go on to take out right piggy. Then I sent red at the boulder which is resting on the ice plank and this should be enough to cause the stone to break through and ignite tnt and take out remaining pigs.

I am playing similar as I posted before except I am having better luck sending the Blues lower and splitting immediately. The bottom one hits the thick vertical wood board, while the top one glances off the boulder and ricochets to the right…meanwhile it should push the boulder far enough to drop down and ignite tnt. Here is the trajectory that works best for me:

79480 with one bird, no power-ups. I managed to grab a screenshot with my second highest score before the score was tallied, but you can see the pigs are gone. This shows where the bird split into three and the angle, which is back not straight but slightly down. You have to have one bird fly across and hit the furthest structure; the rocks dropping onto the bomb do the rest. First time commenting, hope I’m doing this right!

82400/1. Tried just about every one bird strat on this one, the high loft, the early split, the late split, etc. Had the most success with a sort of late split. Launch with the bird near 8 o’clock, and split lat-ish such that one bird goes over the top of the big rock to get the right tower. Hope that the tumbling debris gets the rest, with the big rock setting off the TNT.
