Surf and Turf level 18 is fairly easy and can be done with one boomerang bird. Just fire him and at a medium arch and have him loop back so he destroys the bottom wood beams supporting the structure. With a few tries all the pigs will come crashing down. The score in the video below is 56,920.

63k, no-birder, nothing but the quake. Took me about 2 minutes. I don’t think this score can be achieved with the use of any birds.
@BirdLeader — If Bill says you need to use the quake to get 63K, and some of the best players are at 61K. How are people getting 64K without PUs or without using facebook?

I used the bird enlarge whatever and got over 61k I won’t post that I could only get 58k without power ups that is what I earned with my own skill..I dont see how the scores can be differentiated. Until they figure it out it puts shooters who are truly trying to challenge their skills at a disadvantage also puts all scores under suspicion. Hope they figure it out soon..
I’m still sad about this PU mess @kathy. I hate feeling suspicious every time I see a high score. Unless its a player I’m familiar with I’ll always wonder,& that’s not good. @dollarbills knowledge of PUs at least gives us an idea of what is achievable with or without them. I really don’t know how @admin are going to solve this. I’ve not used 1 yet,I just don’t want my scores messed up. I guess for now we’ll just have to trust as much as we possibly can. Heres to honest happy flinging:)!!

Personally, I think that the whole PU issue isn’t going to see any sort of satisfactory resolution without Rovio issuing an update to ABo that alters the scorekeeping routine, thus having the app track a “traditional” high score, in addition to one obtained through the use of PU’s.
If that were to happen, then BL could add two columns to the leaderboard pages, those being PU High score and PU Average score. That’s just one opinion, but it has the virtue of being reasonable without being too technologically difficult.
Having said that, it is my fervent hope that Rovio isn’t potentially spoiling the upcoming Seasons update, thus addinf fuel to the controversy.
@mvnla2 – I know my 61.8 was without power-ups. If memory serves me (it was a while ago) it was not total destruction so higher scores are possible. I remember thinking it would be hard to beat, but I often find scores are not always consistnet with seemingly equal levels of destruction. I’m on the PU fence. I won’t use them now, but it may be a necessary part of the game in the future. The fans who post here are a relatively small number o ‘addicts.’ While I may not like it, PUs are apparently a way to make the game accesible to a larger audience – and downloads drive the business.

I posted a reply explaining how I wasn’t offended and appreciated the effort being shown by members to ensure the site’s intergrity by checking for false scores. I also commented that @birdleader might consider deleting the thread – not thinking it would be done before you could read it. If its not ‘erased” I’ll ask @birdleader to post the entire thread on my activity page so it isn’t plugging up the walk through section. If so, I’ll let you know when it’s there.

Aimed lower than in video and tried to bring boomer back to hit lower vertical beam. Many tries to finally break all 3. Some debris left, so this score won’t stay as high for long.
I also hit the bottom three vertical supports to collapse the structure. If Boomerang Bird grazes the top of the solid little wood block it should take out the vertical wood planks.
Very nice observation with destroying the lowest vertical beams! I found this strategy to yield the highest scores in a ridiculous span of time (first try).
Yes, this is not the hardest of levels and there are not a lot of alternatives.
I will say this – this was one of the harder levels to get the Feather on. Be prepared to use all the birds to get the fruit in the boxes both to the left and to the right.
Just for the heck of knowing the difference between the 56k that I currently can achieve and a super size bird pu I got over 61 k..I can imagine what the pu quake does..who..would k.ow the difference if I had entered my 61k pu score in board..who would question ‘lil ole me’ I just don’t trust the boards amymore…I will take my under averages knowing proudly I earned it without pu’s I will further judge my scores by trustworthy freinds to know if I need improvement or if I’m average among trusted scores achieved without pu’s:)
Welll I did it beat average with no power up all with my own skill just the same as video. 58400 not the highest but its an honest score achieved with skill :)..58 400 and proud if it!!:) not that this waz a very hard level anyway. ..LOL..;))
Lol @ kathy..You would know and that’s all that really matters. As long as you know in your heart your scores are earned with out PU’s. All we can do is play with integrity like we always have and hope others do as well ;-)

Hopfully they will come up with a “seperate” scoring system that allows it to show if PU’s were used, like the ME is seperate.
Wheeeee! I don’t normally come here to comment on my own score unless I am L-ucky enough to briefly get up near the top, but I wanted to clarify that I am also in the group that doesn’t use PUs… kind of pleased with this score, and it only took a couple of thousand tries…lol
This has been an interesting thread. I’ve been too busy to weigh in. But it is very interesting that in addition to physcis, we have an ethics lesson on ABN. I decided I am happy that I haven’t figured out how to work power-ups yet. (I haven’t even tried the space eagle!) I wonder, why do people cheat in a situation like this one? I work in higher ed. We see academic integrity issues all of the time. A number of universities are now offering free “massive open online courses” (MOOCs) where thousands of people can take non-credit courses for free. They are finding scores of plagiarism cases. I must be niave, but I just wonder why? Maybe I just want to be admired by my ABN competitors…
I just want to say ditto. It’s just a game and integrity of the scores is more important than a top 10 or 100 or 200 finish. Happy slinging!
One of those levels I can see myself playing and restarting a 1000 times just to try and squeeze a couple hundred more points out of.

the top bricks are stuck to the rock thing, and the bottom planks are stacked on top of each other impossibly
I had this happen. I did show my wife (doesn’t impress her as she doesn’t sling), then explained it away as some ‘force’ of birds nature.
@angryperson I’ve had it too. I just hissed at it, gave the wood a scratch for good measure, and hit the most used button in AB – reset.
Not a glitch – the boards and the stones are all jammed together,holding it up. Just a strange outcome that is not unusual for AB – as Sal said in the forum.
Top score for this level is not possible, could be a typo and they put an 8 instead of a 6…

60010 no power ups, on iPhone. So it’s possible. I had one piece of wood, one barrel, one damaged block and all the fruit left. Did it like everyone else, same spot just lucky with debris.
No power-ups used on this or any previous level. I won’t use them, I have no idea how to use them and I really can’t be bothered to figure it out. I’ll just keep flinging the natural way… LOL
The trick to this level is to get both barrels as well, I got one so far and it raised my score 860 points, I’ll keep trying for both.
Well @Kimmiecv after an awesome score on the last level i find myself back on this controversial level where i still don’t believe the high scores my phone score still says 61k ..wish i could reset that one and only pu for the heck of seeing what COULD happen as opposed to what really happens..so i think I’ll just sit on my 58k and move along…
I meant to add that i do agree with a couple cuz they are recognized high scores ..but some i believe are pu.s and this is such a difficult level it’s hard to determine

Ohhh this is the one you tried a PU on? I remember you saying you’d tried one! That bites!! :/ That’s why I won’t try them, not worth mucking up my scores!! So is the top score bogus then?
I’m not positive but i see no posts from them..i trust abeggartoo and thetoddman but never heard of the top scorer..I’m not going to waste my time on it..if you read posts above it was well discussed..
