Angry Birds Star Wars Path of the Jedi Level J-30 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Path of the Jedi level J-30 is to target the stand-in Vader on the far right side of the level, using as few birds as possible. In the video, we need three birds, but once the Force is broken, everything below will be destroyed.

One of the most difficult all-birders I have played. It would be nice if you could loop under the planet and take out the less-fortified right side of the Vader shelter. At least I managed to complete the first 29 without the walkthroughs. :)

Strategically, it wasn’t all that difficult of a level. Tactically, now that’s a horse of a different color! The heavier planetary gravity made the shots tricky. This is doubled by the fact that you need both precision and patience for the saber slash and blaster bolts to be effective.

Aim the Luke bird so it just passes under the aerial TNT, but don’t slash at it, however tempting! You need the slash to take out the pig at high guard in front of Vader’s shelter. The Han Solo bird needs to follow the exact same trajectory as Luke, but thankfully, this is the easy part. Hold off on the blaster bolts until Han comes around the limb of the planet, aligned roughly with the base of Vader’s shelter, then tap to fire. If you’ve hit it right, you’ll get some ricochet action on the blaster bolts to help take out Vader.

I did almost same strategy as you the only difference was to keep a Luke alive closer to Van Dammer ; then the next birdie will fire exactly over Luke that situation plus rebooting shoots will kill the guy inside , I take 65 730 ; I did try this strategy many times until achieve my goal more than 61 K. It is very difficult but achievable . If any of you will try let me know your score…!!!

Strangely, I found it more difficult to complete this level with an all-birder than with a 2-birder. The reason I think is that if you damage Vader’s shelter with the second bird it cushions the impact of the third bird and makes it less likely to destroy Vader.

So my strategy was to go for a 2-birder with a very precisely placed second bird. Clear the way to the shelter with the blaster along the same direction as you are traveling and then the impact on the shelter wall should be sufficient to take out Vader.

Problem with first shots is so I not paying much attention HOW? Simply intuition and act naturally. Jedi warrior must have intuition, is not it?

@brave1966 — I misread your idea, but it accidentally gave me a tip that got me a higher score!

I thought you were suggesting going under the arch of blocks that line the “open” part of the path to Vader. So I snuck Luke between the first and second of those horizontal blocks, and managed to do enough damage by getting to the TNT to clear most of the path. It still took the second Luke and Han, but I managed 67350!

Thanks for the tip, even if it was kind of not what you suggested. :-)

On PC: 2 birds, 3 stars, 53,100. Fire first bird through the wide gap between the two lower left floating blocks, light saber the far left pig, roll up the ramp and fall on TNT, taking out all lower level birds. Fire second bird between the floating blocks and ricochet blasts off the vertical box to the right of the upper pigs, taking out all three.

I need to get my score above the average, I’m 55 points below it now. I just can’t seem to squeeze any more points out of this torture chamber. I’m consistently getting 60,000 ±500, but I’m not even approaching my posted high of 63,390. I remember when I got it, that it was a freak shot and one that I could not duplicate. I think I need to work on a 2 bird solution that yields at least 54,000 before any bonus birds.

Used two birds for this level. Luke’s light saber on the two right most lower green blocks and damaged some wood to the right.
Followed by Han who went all the way through the stone structure following his 3 lasers into the same area as specified in the video above.

A fairly reliable two-bird solution. Aim Luke halfway between the top dynamite and the three floaters below. Trigger his light saber just as he passes beneath the dynamite. The objective is to make way for a higher trajectory for Han. With a higher trajectory, Han seems to pack that little bit of extra punch needed to take out Darth. A good first shot needs to cause the dynamite to explode and spread out the debris up and away from where you want to send Han. Luke must also collide with the floater over the bottom dynamite, causing it to lower and clear Han’s path. Thirdly, it should take out the pig on the tower in front of Darth, and hopefully some of the wood beneath it.

With the path cleared, you can now send Han on a higher trajectory than would be possible if the upper dynamite and adjacent floaters were still there. Send him on the highest possible trajectory, and wait until just passing the beginning of the last floater before firing into the structure that protects Darth. The goal is to have his lasers destroy all obstructions allowing Han to hit the structure with nothing slowing his momentum. So it’s important to fire just as you pass the front corner of the last floater to allow time for the lasers to destroy everything before Han impacts. With practice, I’ve been able to achieve a 2 bird solution maybe one in 8 tries. Best score so far has been 66,970.

This worked well for me. One tweak….you don’t need to explode the TNT. Wait a little longer to trigger the saber so just the wood underneath is destroyed. With the wood gone, there is still enough room for the 2nd shot. That way the TNT explodes after the drop and I think gives more points.

This is I got my first 2-birder. My Luke was too low his lightsaber to reach the TNT but it cleared out the floating block below it. This allowed Han to take just high enough trajectory to push a block into Darth.

As @stocktoad mentions, you don’t want to detonate any TNT with the first bird; an explosion in empty space makes very little damage.

Taking out the rightmost pig with the first bird is not mandatory but highly recommended; with the pig left standing, the final score will generally be lower by 2-3k.

Timing of the laser shot is crucial as mentioned by Bob. Fire too late and you run into intact blocks, losing your momentum. Fire too early and debris from above will fall into your path.

Same here – many thanks to bob and and @stocktoad for strat and tips. On the first shot I actually waited as long as possible after Luke passed under the wood shelf before activating the light saber. He still breaks the shelf leaving the TNT behind, but this way he seems to have a better chance of nudging the 2 lower green blocks out of the way without setting off the lower TNT. I was finding that blowing the lower TNT pushed the blocks back up blocking the second shot. Then both TNTs going off together cleared a lot of debris, and gave me top score (for now!).

Screen cap shows trajectory for shot 2. and 72490 score when bonus added.
