Angry Birds Star Wars Moon of Endor Level 5-5 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Moon of Endor level 5-5 is to loft Chewie into the hanging branch, causing the AT-ST to fall to the ground. With some luck, the lasers can take out all remaining pigs, but Han can be used as an alternate if necessary. The score in the video below is 104,090.

I aimed Chewie at about the middle of the top sphere. Some of the spheres flew forward toward the AT-ST… Meanwhile Chewie and some spheres roll down taking out the center pigs and all of the bottom ones then roll to push the AT-ST down where it shoots down the hanging log and top Trooper. 102210 so far ;-)
Sometimes the flying spheres will knock the AT-ST down too.

@lesleyg, I came up with same strat. I think that the only manner to get more on this one is the AT-ST laying down continuing his shooting. When you start 10 times tis game, it yields each time different scores. This one is leaning on the L-factor (I think)

Great strat, @DJohn! Looks like I have top score (120,670) for now. First shot like @DJohn. The results are variable so you have to adapt your next shot(s). My first bird took down the AT-ST which cleared nearly everything except for the hanging pig and 3 of the round wood disks.

For second bird, I shot Han into the top disk of the 3 remaining, and right before impact, I shot Han’s laser through the rope of the hanging pig. Two of the wood disks rolled into the AT-ST’s laser, and shooting the pig’s rope instead of shooting the pig gave another second or two for the laser damage.

The AT-ST laser damage is key to high scores. The hits on the log are worth 845 and the hits on the wood disks are 1245 (if my eyes are working right). So slow destruction is your friend. I think scores of 125K may be possible – I had one wood disk left that didn’t roll into the laser blasts.

Happy flinging, friends!

I’m glad @dmsral took the time to post that “slow destruction,” aka patience pays off using video method. It took more than an hour on Android phone & I’m considering myself quite lucky with a 2-birder for 121020. Considering I started with under 97k, it really didn’t take that long once I knew what to look for. The top pig needs to be the last to go, even if it takes a 2nd shot. This enables the lasers from the AT-ST to slowly take everything out from the closest to the furthest away (wood circles). It the AT-ST head falls shooting straight up with no chance to tip to the left to take out everything to its left, I restated.

This is the same as the video method. And the same as @dmsral‘s method. The trick is that after the first shot you need the top hanging pig to stay alive so that the lasers have time to work their magic. Second sling is to push whatever logs are left into the fire of the lasers. Prior to impact shoot the upper hanging pig.

This level has been very interesting to play. I flung Chewie so he barely hit the hanging log, snapped the front 2 ropes with out popping the top hanging pig and then on the knock down the AT-ST. The log then swings toward the log pile, snaps the rope and falls between the little hut and the log pile. On the rebound, Chewie sometimes takes out all of the pigs at the feet of the AT-ST. As in the other strategies, it is really is how the AT-ST lands so that it can hit the as much stuff as possible. This approach is very repeatable and also increased my chances to take advantage of a some anomalies that took place. What I mean by an anomaly is that how the lasers interact with the logs (round or straight) is very different than you would expect. My second encounter with an anomaly gave me my current score. I had 105K +/- with the top pig and the two pigs in the trench below. Just as I was about to fire Hans into the remainder of the log pile, the lasers started to generate point from hitting the very tip of a some piece of log debris, so I held off shooting Hans. This went on intermittently for about 5 minutes generating about 12K in points. Normally this would (my opinion) have generated 1-2K in points. When the had finished, I shot Hans into the remains of the log pile and shot down the top pig. Lastly, I flung Chewie to take out the remaining 2 pigs in the trench. I know this is a long post, but may be important in that you may want to wait a few seconds longer that normal before hitting the reset button. I will try to be brief on my first anomaly. Same strategy for the first bird. I used the second bird push the log pile into the top log that had fallen between the hut and the log pile. After moving the log pile the top log very very little and minor results, I was ready to fling Chewy into the top right bird and call it a day. As I pulled Chewie back, the laser hits to the log from the top started generating points (nothing had happen before), The score went from 105K to 145K in less than 2 minutes. Usually this would have generated maybe 5-6K before breaking the log. Unfortunately, on my last shot, I grazed one of the supports for the hanging log and just missed the top bird which would have given me a 150K score. Bummer :( The good news is for all, High scores are very doable.
just be patient. Happy flinging.

For today’s challenge, you need more than just to make a perfect shot. You have to trigger the log glitch which on this level sometimes works and sometimes it does not. Even when you get it to work, the duration and number of points generated is inconsistent. You could fling for a week and never have it happen or it could happen in one shot. Hopefully someone will document a reliable strategy and we can all adopt a new puppy.

I just managed to get my high score with 2 birds. Same strategy as others have posted – first bird high to bring down log and to hit the AT-ST but crucially to keep the hanging enemy alive. You need some luck for the AT-ST to destroy the house and hit the logs behind for extra points.

I then aimed Hans at the last couple of logs (which were out of range of the lasers) so that they would move to the right allowing the AT-ST to rack up some more points whilst using his shot to bring down the last enemy.

Rank: Sling God with 21025 points
By ChiefBumpa (@chiefbumpa)Score: 175,580

The strategy listed above still works. I made one minor change in how I approached the second shot in that I flung Hans into the pile of logs and used the laser to destroy the top hanging cable that holds the left end of the aerial log. This creates an unobstructed path for Chewie to hit the top right hanging pig. Last time I was in this situation, I didn’t realize that the cable would slow Chewie down enough and that he would fall short of the hanging pig. The point roll up on on the round log pieces took about 15 minutes as it was not continuous, very intermittent. Unfortunately I missed the opportunity for a puppy by 15-20 minutes.
Maybe next time!

I got the current top score also from a point roll up on the log pile on top of the hill, but unlike @chiefbumpa, it was continuous and it was pretty fast — maybe two minutes in total. I’ve posted a screenshot taken during the roll up, but I took it right after the collapse that stopped the point flow. Immediately before that there was an end-facing log atop a precipice of debris, and the points were compiling from the top of that connecting point.

I had not narrowed my Chewbacca shot down to the pixel as I sometimes have for his boards. I aimed approximately for the bottom of the front rope suspending the hanging log. The key is to have Chewy hit the rope before he touches the log. It swings down counterclockwise, as he typically breaks the other two ropes, or they break from momentum, either way without killing the trooper.

For shot 2 I played it very safe, aiming Han’s lasers right for the middle of the rope suspending the trooper, while diving into the pile for a few extra points.

This level is crazy!!! I received an email that my top score had been surpassed by @stilly so I thought I would try the aiming strategy mentioned in the post. The aiming strategy does provide a higher yield in getting the AT-ST into the correct position to hit the small house and log pile than my main strategy.

But that was not the way I got this score. I had used Chewy #1 to get the AT-ST in the optimal position with no success in getting the points to roll up. So I sent Hans into the log pile to see what might happen. Only a few more points. After waiting for 10 minutes with a score of 82680, I shot Chewy #2 at the hanging pig and watched Chewy reposition the AT-ST enough to set off a 2 second 85,000 point scoring bonanza. I have personally witnessed some bizarre scoring scenarios playing ABSW during the past few years and this one is near the top.
