Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Hoth level 3-18 is fire Leia up towards the top of the atmosphere, aiming her tractor beam at the large asteroid to the right of the floating pig. This should pull the asteroid down into the atmosphere, taking out the pig and blowing up the AT-AT. Now fling the next pink bird straight ahead at the radar to pull it down.

@TruckDriver, Hey, lots of congrats to you for your Ascension to Master Slinger with a Fancy looking icon and all. BTW, this has been a very exasperating level, it took me all of 15 attempts just to barely pass 3 stars, that stupid Doberman head never falls where you need it most.
@werewolf69 – thanks! It was a long time coming, and I really do like the look of this rank’s icon. Perhaps it comes out of my fondness for military heraldry. Now, the level: I’m fairly certain it took more than 15 tries for me to obtain the result that I did, so in that, you’re way ahead of me! I’m sure I’ll have to revisit this level for the eventual Hoth score addict achievement, but I’m content to wait, for the moment!

In my play, Leia was able to grab the large and small stones. The small stone was set on a slower decent toward the planet. The large stone ignites the TNT and decapitates the head destroying birds near the launch pad. While all this was happening, the small stone entered the gravitational field, hit the decapitated head, causing it to flip and shoot its body. There were more points to be had however, the level timed out.
i just had the power to get it with a one birder. thanks to you.

Thanks @yuriyigolkin for sharing your video! I watched it and I sent Leia higher up like in your video and pulled the bigger asteroid. When it came down, it bumped the smaller one which got the Tie-fighter. They both came down igniting the tnt but my asteroid did not push the decapitated head forward like in your video. Instead his own shooting lazers ricocheted off the second small stucture’s metal and caused his head to jump up and land face down towards the satelite. He then blasted the whole thing. The score was still calculating when the level timed out. Got me Top Score of 100450 for now ;-) It was very cool to watch ;-)

My arc was high, so that the top of it was brushing the gravity field. I’m not sure how essential that arc is. What I was trying to do consistently was:
1) Grab both the big asteroid and the snowball to the right of it. To do this I grabbed when I was at the top of my arc, and aimed between the two. Since the angle was so severe it grabbed both, rather than grabbing space.
2) I waited until the third set of shots was passing through the gravity field. I waited longer so that the big asteroid would hit the fighter from the side, rather than the top. This way it wouldn’t come straight down and destroy the walker’s head.
Then the two asteroids coming down in sequence often push the TNT up against the leg so the head on the other side is pushed forward towards the two pigs on the left that it needs to get.
95,640 The AT-AT Walker’s head didn’t blow up everything else like in @yuriyigolkin vid, but the head blew up and debris took out everything on the left.
I tried the strat in @yuriyigolkin‘s video. Only rarely did the head detach and land in a position to shoot some pigs. Unfortunately, it only got the 1 helmeted trooper under the satellite dish, I had to use another Leia to get the last one. I did get a lot of detached AT-AT heads exploding, but no pig clearing blasts as you describe @dark-cloud.
I eventually used a combination of yuriyigolkin’s first shot and @traneric‘s second of dropping an orbiting asteroid onto the satellite dish.
This is a infuriating level.
I have no problems with first shot (as film shows). Second one was irritating. So I changed sequence. Less anxiety with this modification. Of course, by this way you blocking 1 B possibility. Better to score 3* first, next try to improve.
I find it easier for Leia to grab the rock when her GFD goes between the ATAT and the Tie-figher.

Shoot leia up high and use her tractor beam on the AT-AT his leg. He will fall down and if youre lucky he will shoot out the TIE fighter, the bomb inside AT-AT will kill pig floating above and his head will kill the troopers at the bottom side.
Just a couple of little tips on this one. On the 1st shot be a little patient before you shoot so that the smaller asteroid will take out the tie fighter on its way down. Also, I find using the 2nd shot to bring down the left asteroid easier then the vid shot, but aim Stella to fly a little left or the asteroid will go too far right.
Some alternative shoots/spots:
a) You can sling downwards and re-appear down-right for a very special spot on asteroids or AT tail
b) Same direction as the video shows but use the beam on the closest radar-antena pane only. As you continue upwards, the antenna rotate on place, killling the pig and getting rid of most base + go to orbit…
c) There is a AT foot between the radar and the AT with a pig on top. You can beam that as you go left-up to use as deflector for the mass destruction.
d) For one shot solution: I’ve got better results beaming the AT’s front leg but score not always high.
e) The left-most big asteroid, well-beamed, could be most useful for clear all radar structure; the TIE-pig and/or the head. (2 birds solution).
f) You can beam the AT foot (not the full AT) with the pig on top, and/or the knee and head of the AT to do acrobatics! Well timed you do a full circunference pushing down all asteroids for “THE” total destruction but extremelly dificult. The massive score its a great reward.

@yuriyigolkin : GREAT video!!! (Sniper’s-like targetting the asteroid between the orbitating stuff from that angle… COOL, men)
Related: Its possible to get the head destroyed near the last kill (and destroy more) to get more than 10,000 points (compensating the 2nd bird-shoot)… The thing is get most destroyable pieces grouped near to levitate the head over, firing, then dropped.

Hi @Kathy … to be honest cannot recall which method I’ve used but I’m think was either c) or f) (most probably f) The acrobatic-AT was very dificult shoot but, to me, the best option for this lvl.
Using the strat in the vid a million times and any other strat I could think of the vid strat finally helped me beat the average, but damn it took a loooooooong time, this level was a real swine!
I’d like to find the person who earlier in these hoth levels was complaining they were all”LUCKl
Clearly the tables have turned..these past few levels are purely skill..my hats of to all #1 scorers and especially @BirdLeader and the whole abn Team..Sal9, Amslimfordy, FujiToast and the newest team member E*

@Kathy thx for the pigkiller ;) took me Hours but yuri and WTV finally laid off just differently! LOL asteroids came down together missed the flying thing blew the At At up his head went flying laddered the flying thing and lasered the two left pigs before falling on a rock and blowing air! These levels are for sure getting more complex and as you say skill not luck have a lot to do with it! I believe it was Liam that was throwing stones on earlier levels! ;)
93000 w/1 Bird.
I couldn’t get a good score (95k+) after more than 300+ tries (I’m not kidding) , But Here’s some little tips to get one-birder :
1) Aim Leia as soon the level starts.
2) Tap his power on the boulder, when she is exactly below the Tie-Fighter.

Even with tonight’s minor improvement, I’m still below average on this one. Every time I’m off to a good start, I muff up the second shot, I even had one where the At-At head took out all but the storm trooper hiding under the radar dish and then I muffed up that second shot. I’ll have to surrender under these conditions, good luck to all. Ciao.
