Golden Droid #6 (aka, Golden Egg D-6) is located on level 3-17 of Angry Birds Star Wars Hoth. The Golden Droid is in the extreme top-right corner of the level, well out of reach of any birds. Ricochet Han’s blaster off of the miniature tower high above the AT-AT and, with some luck, it can deflect into the Golden Droid. Once you hit the Droid, you’ll immediately be transported via hyperdrive to the bonus level. The video below contains two parts. The first part reveals the Droid’s location on level 3-17 and how to obtain it. The second part shows you how to pass Droid level #6 (D-6) with 3 stars.

Manage to get the Golden Droid with the first Han. Just fire him as high as possible and his lasers will cut the bridge and ricochet off the structure at the top to hit the droid
@neptunepluto: Good job! I found it easier to clear the way and use the last Han to get the GD. Align the shot with the cross to make the ricochet more predictable. :)
Yep, this is how I finally got it. One bird after many many tries.
Same path as video but fire just a little later. If you can get the golden shrapnel flying around, it’s a 1-birder.
This is far easier if you fire the first bird at the top structure. The idea is to leave a weakened structure – not knock it down. Waste the next two birds and ricochet with the final.
Just came here to post the very same thing-target first Hans on the wooden cross, leaving the metal upright slightly stripped away. Ditch Luke & Leia, use last Hans as video. Managed to hit the droid at third attempt.

After trying the video approach countless times, this method got me through on third attempt.
THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU. Was very frustrated, been trying this one for ages. Either destroyed the structure (sometimes with the 1st Han) or couldn’t get the ricochet right. Aiming the 1st Han at the wooden cross did the trick, on the FIRST try doing that, got the droid with the last Han.

I used the first Han to weaken the structure, and then the last Han to finish the job.
Much easier than trying to get Leia to remove the wood part, etc.
Plus I found it took all three shots to weaken the metal, so I could never get through with the first Han anyway.
After miss shoot Golden Droid so many times I watch a film, read some comment below. Catch 2 things: A. one shot is possible, B. to weaken a left wall. I know that is possible. I be micrometers from GD. And this magic one shot came.

I got it with a 1-Birder, you just need to patiently wait for all the troopers to approach a confluence towards the center asteroid and launch your egg towards the center asteroid, then sit back and enjoy the fireworks.
@werewolf69, that’s easy for you to say, but at least I finally managed to unlock the silly thing. So, I guess that means I can restow the Advil bottle for a while!

I still don’t quite understand the D-6 level but I guess the goal is to wipe out as many rotating bars as possible and of course, everything else. I got 86,920 by just following the vid. It was a 1-birder and the last mobile bot kept circling around until it hit a rock or something and then it exploded.
Argh! I’ve been trying to get the droid for days & I’ve tried both the video & using Hans to destroy the cross & then the metal & nothing seems to work!! Has anyone managed to get this on an iPhone? I’m using an iPhone 5 zoomed out & just keep missing :-((
Finally got into the droid level!
Look for the vertical metal piece behind the cross and vertical wood pieces. If the vertical metal piece has 3 sections with the middle section being hollow, then it can be done to get the golden droid by following the video, i.e., use the second Han. If the vertical metal piece has 2 solid sections, I don’t think the laser would ricochet toward the direction of golden droid. In and out of the game to get the desired vertical metal piece. I used iPhone 4. Good luck!
A 0-birder is possible here, but I never get to it. I’ve left the level for a shower, and when I looked back, almost all carts were exploded.
@hidayat1999 have you reported this on the forum about unstable self collapsing levels..,@mvnla2 not sure if you were notified of this one..i haven’t tried it, just got here and saw post;)
I got the golden thing and didn’t even know it was there. I misfired the first bird, and one of the lasers got through to the upper structure. I’ll take luck over a complicated special level any day.
For those that have given up on the 1 bird attempt, 80150 is possible with 2 birds.
Self-destruction reported by @Burbman, who may set the record for patience, or else time with game running while otherwise occupied. Carts on lower left planet will rear-end and explode at ~5 min for ~12K; carts on upper left rear-end at ~10 min for total of 29 to 36K. Not clear if total SD possible. Please report observations in forum on self-destroying levels.
“Total” self-destruction possible, but so far only 73K.
