Angry Birds Star Wars Facebook Tournament Level 1 Week 41 – September 23rd 2013

Walkthrough video and strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Facebook Tournament Level #1 (Day 1, released on September 23rd, Week 41 which began on September 23rd, 2013). Our non power-up strategy is to send Chewie towards the base of the top tower. This should cause debris to fall, and trigger a chain reaction that will detonate all tnts. The score in the video below is 116,620.

Our Angry Birds Star Wars Facebook Tournament walkthroughs show you how to obtain 3 stars, most of the time without the aid of Power-Ups (we do make exceptions). If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments. Tournament walkthroughs are added weekly as new levels come out, so be sure to check the walkthrough page.

Wish I could record my play here! But this is a one-birder! 112,310 right now but think I could get it higher! Aim to just hit the little metal square on the rock holding up the tower in the air. Chewy will bounce off and across the top of the lower towers knocking them over and the tower on the rock will fall and knock the metal wheel down which will take out the whole right side. Sometimes it will blow the TNT sometimes not. Careful not to aim too low or too high.

112,920 now and still haven’t blown middle TNT so there is opportunity for higher score. Sometimes the vibration will cause the wheel to fall to the right, remember just tap that little metal square on the rock don’t hit it full on! Good luck!

Aim at 45 degrees to the top tower. Chewy bounces back to four towers, smashing them down. All TNT blows. No PU, 117K+.

one birded it then decided may as well try throwing a clone bird in for x-tra damage points…. in this case it worked even better then if i cloned the first bird:

anyhow, i shot it to the top tower and pretty much did what seems popular.

83670 after normal first shot
93720 after all 3 power ups and clone bird second shot +30000

i have a video, will try to post it soon

good luck

Do you know you are using forbidden hack – 3 power ups + CB?

Rank: Explosive with 2070 points
By livingny (@livingny)

How is that forbidden? Anyone and use a clone bird and load it with 3 power ups if they want.

well honestly, i thought it wasn’t possible to use all three, but i tried to this time and it seemed fine. I am not aware of any hack that i am using.

in the past i never really wanted to use king sling anyhow, because it seemed like you wouldn’t get as many shots from the blaster off…. anyhow, i DID use all that i said i used, if i did something wrong then please yank my score…. video still coming, lol

There are no hacks for AB Stars Wars. And what you are doing is totally fine. Although this thread is for getting 3 stars without using power ups. I’m not using any hack and I’ve always been able to use 3 power ups if I wanted to rack up the score. Usually it doesn’t make that big of a difference but sometimes it does. Anyway you’re fine with what you’re doing.

so you are telling me and anybody else (of whom I see several all the time) that we shouldn’t comment on these facebook tournament threads if we use power-ups?

I have never seen that rule or heard of that until now from you. Even the walk-thrus by their own admission use power-ups sometimes.

Can you or anybody point me to where this is stated, because even though I haven’t examined all of the website, i would have thought that i would have stumbled across that by now

as far as not making a big difference…. I’d be willing to gamble that every single #1 score on these SWFB tournaments used some type of power up

@livingny @tmax

All comments are welcome and all scores are welcome in the Facebook Tournaments — so long as the use of Power Ups (if any) are legal. By that, we mean no hacks or “over usage” of Power Ups, such as the well-known infinite PU hack for Facebook Friends.

@crash No I’m not saying people don’t use power ups and as far as the high scores I’m sure people use powers up.

Here we try to get a high score without using power ups and if we do use them we mention that power ups were used. At least that’s what I’ve read here. I actually haven’t seen a walkthrough yet that used a power up, if they did then I missed that one. LOL

As far as the high score on the tournaments I have no idea what the ‘rules’ are, I’ve been more interested in seeing what I can get without using power ups. Most people struggle with earning them and don’t want to pay for them. Which is why they come here to see strategies on how to get high scores without getting that extra help.

I wasn’t saying you can’t use power ups.

BTW, I’m not against PUs, but I dislike CB. It’s only PU that give nothing to strategy, or work or luck – just press the button, and here you are – plus 10K! I hate such PU. Same is in ABF with Wingman – if you don’t know what to do – just use it :)

Rank: Explosive with 2070 points
By livingny (@livingny)

I agree CB only helps rack up points. Although Wingman does take the place of the bird thats there UNLESS you’ve used all your birds and then you click on Wingman. Although at that point you’ll never rack up the points because you’ve already screwed up the level if you’ve used all your birds! LOL

Thanks for the clarification Slim…

And I assure everyone i play normal style just like we should.

I agree Clone Bird should just be called “THE 10000 POINT BIRD”….the rest of the power ups are great ideas, and it’s nice they give you some, but obviously there is an advantage if you can buy more then the next guy/gal

So i see that not using power ups at all really levels the playing field, as far as comparing scores. I only use the power ups I get for free thru the games little “rewards”…. but i also know how to pick the levels where i don’t “fail” when i use it…almost always I try to pick levels where it can’t be one-birded, too risky most of the time… and i HATE when i botch using a clone, lol….

Lately i have found I can fire the clone bird as the 2nd bird on levels that can be one birded, and score over 10,000 points…. this can end up being even better then cloning right off the bat and succeeding.

As far as i’ve noticed, you HAVE to shoot the clone bird once you call him in, no?

And Lastly, One reason I posted the video was because i think it was #1 or #2 score at the time. I feel it’s good to show proof if you have it, because, well, I know *I* like to watch videos of someone getting a top score cause generally , even with power ups it can be a thing of beauty.

I’ll try to keep comments about non-power-up strategies…. sometimes the strategies are even the same, one just has the blaster and nuke for extra damage, but the strategy is still valid for non-power up attempts… but if I get a #1 or #2 score, I’ll probably still mention how i did it

Have a good day everyone

Yes you have to use the clone bird once you clicked on it. The game won’t end till you do.

As far as posting video, I wish I could! I’ve tried a few programs that people have posted here in the past to record game play but so far I can’t get them to work for me. Using a PC to play… and no I can’t remember now what I’ve tried in the past. BUT if anyone has suggestions I’ll keep trying!

I do mine the old-fashioned way (well not too old fashioned)…. I have a homemade “tripod” and i simply record my computer monitor with my cell phone. Which i’ve been getting better at so that it’s a little bit hard to tell, but still… the blinding glare that fades till the screen comes into focus is a giveaway, lol

There is a great free ware program my brother was telling me about and it works great with you-tube called ezvid

good luck
