Angry Birds Star Wars Death Star Level 2-5 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Death Star level 2-5 is to target the TNT with the first Blue bird. The destruction can be very significant, and a one-bird clear is likely possible. If not though, you can certainly use another bird to clean up what remains, likely along the southern gravitational field.

I got the highest scores not targeting the TNT directly, but instead aiming lower and letting the birds circle around (causing destruction) and igniting the TNT either with a bird falling on it or blocks from the leftmost high tower. I’ve been very close to a 1-birder a few times with this strat.

Then the second bird north of the little moon to get the remaining pig/pigs on the east side.

I did accordingly with the video: and after about 2 docens of times I got 116 940. The trick is just to chose a way that can be a certain star on the mid try the most significant star ; maybe the most brilliant then ; split the blue bird like on the video. On the very beginning you can’t do it but after you learn the specific way : try . Did work for me. Later after finished The Jedi Episode I will visit again this level I do like it.

Using the strategy of going lower and missing the TNT until the second go around works to kill all pigs with one bird. I did it once for 118870, but cannot repeat the same shot, still trying.

Update: aim south for TNT splitting a fraction later taking out the pigs on the small stands except for the one nearest the TNT, one blue bird will hit the ice on the go around which causes debris to hit the TNT taking out the rest of the pigs. If a second bird is required for the TNT my top score with two birds is 114280.

I consistantly score more points not targetting the TNT on the first shot also.

A consistant 110k strat.

Aim blue leader at the southern hemisphere of the small planet, so that his trajectory just catches its orbit. Split the squadron just before they enter the atmosphere.

Blue 1 will circle the small planet counter-clockwise taking out the PorkTroopers.

Blue 2 will circle the big planet clockwise.

Blue 3 will take out the TNT

Then send in the next squadron, this time aim Blue leader at the northern hemisphere of the small planet, so he just grazes it.

With luck he should loop round and into the edge of the big planets atmosphere – where he should also graze the edge allowing him to orbit the entire planet before assuming attack formation to take out the remaining PigTroopers.

After all the detail given on what to do on the first shot and how each bird will perform, you then fail to mention when you are supposed to split the birds on the second shot. It only reads “…aim Blue leader at the northern hemisphere of the small planet, so he just grazes it.”, sure, okay, THEN what?

I did a 1 birder 3 times in a row with a higher score each time. If you look at the line bisecting the second planet, use that line to find the edge of the atmosphere to the left. Right on the outer edge a little lower then your before mentioned line is a grouping of three bright(er) stars. Shoot the bird right through the middle of the grouping, make it explode right on the edge of the atmosphere ( the blast should be right on the line of the atmosphere ) and there you have it about 50/50 I just lucked out an nailed it 3 times.

By 13urnout

Maybe a lot less than 50/50 but I scored over 115 the first time, over 118 the second time and now my score is just over 119k.

The TNT blew and the other birds flung around and knocked the stacks on the upper right about, the second to last pig was left rocking on the top of his stack on far right, he finally rolled off onto the last one and they both popped. I must have done it 50 times at least before i finally got the one-birder though! I got closer to one-birder more consistently with this strat than trying to send all three birds counter-clockwise around the planet before igniting the TNT though, this one’s got a big random luck factor to it!

I’m not sure how clear it is, but about half way the blues pass a triangular arrangement of stars. The tracking line should go through the bottom left star then split them after entering the atmosphere. You have to get enough destruction to only have 1 pigtrooper left on the right, the one on the tower of 2 wood & 2 glass blocks. Sometimes the pigtrooper below him sticks around but he’s hard to get this way. And of course it doesn’t work everytime.
So, surprise surprise, bring on the luck! Happy flinging :)

I’ve gotten several one birdies this morning using this trajectory but I didn’t have time to post the link until now…it’s just a matter of getting that one blue to circle around and get that leftover stubborn piglet. Some good old fashion “L” factor indeed ;-)

Thank you @karen68 & @lesleyg for your screenshots. I actually find these just as if not sometimes more useful than a written description. They often work best for me when encountering a particularly difficult level.

After some practice, I didn’t think getting 3* was too hard. Getting an above average score on the other hand is proving difficult for me. Many days ago, after a few dozen shots I had 3* & now I’m 124 points below average. I’ve been trying for several days…. with no success & although whining may not be dignified for my recent Fling King status (or Queen in my case as I’m female), it’s not beneath me at this point ;-). It’s worked for others so I giving it a shot here since the best I’ve done is with 2 birds following others’ suggestions.

I swear there is a difference in devices. I can’t get things aligned on my Androind phone as shown on these screenshots. The screenshots show the planet on which the slingshot is sitting at about 4:00 to the Death Star with the blue bird in the sling just inside what would be the gravitational field if this Death Star were in play. Regardless of the zoom and how I move the screen around, I can’t get things aligned like this. Anyone else notice this?

I hate to move to the next level without getting an above average score, but I think for now it’s time to move on ….
:-( …. I need to give this one a time-out and come back later.

HOORAY !!!! YIPPEE !!!!

I finally managed a 1-birder on my Android phone for an above average score of 117280. I’d been stuck at 114640 (somewhere between 90-125 below average) for well over a month. This was driving me nuts; so far it was the only one where I was below average. After a great score on 2-36, I came back here to try, yet again, to improve enough above the average that I wouldn’t need to worry (at least for awhile) about slipping below average. I certainly didn’t want to have to revisit this again in the near future.

If you’re having as much trouble as I did, perhaps you too will luck out by fine-tuning something like this for your device. I zoomed all the way out, aimed to about the same area to which I’ve aimed thousands of times (as others) & released at about the same point as before, however, this time something was different. I’d tried an early release before & overall, it had probably been closer than a late release, but I just can’t say with certainty. Just as it seemed I’d need a 2nd bird, the rightward moving momentum of either a fallen bird or debris tipped the last 3 as pigs & debris continued to tip very very very slowly to the right. Once again, patience paid off. If I’d taken the next shot with 2nd bird, I’d still be below average. While I’m not thrilled with the ranking, I can’t complain because I’m now ABOVE AVERAGE !!! I probably should not have written this because the Angry Birds Gods may now retaliate.

As I wrote above in July, there was no way I could get things aligned on my phone to anything even close to those pics others posted. You can see here that my “zoomed out almost didn’t get a 1-birder” release is outside of the gravitational field: http://angrybir.de/16WNC7C .

To avoid having one or two remaining pig on the right side, throw with about half power. As the speed is reduced, the birds will catch more easily the pigs on the right, which are quite low. If you use full speed they will more likely fly above. With this strategy I was able to get a few 1 birders in a row whereas I was never able to get any with full power.
