The video uses the same approach I used before checking here. I don’t imagine there is going to be a wide scoring range.
Shooting a little bit higher but at lower velocity can give 53820 because more debris are destroyed. I would not be surprised if even better can be done with a more subtle approach.
@sglouk, could you clarify a bit. I’m assuming the extra debris you are referencing are the molten rocks? The highest I’ve gotten was 53220 except the one time the red was ejected and hit one of them, and I got 53430. I’m assuming for 53820 that 2 of them were hit? Thanks!
@captrec – I thought the same thing…I too had Red float over and hit one of the lava asteroids and got the same score as you of 53430, BUT then I flung a few more times and was just about to hit reset when I noticed the score had the ending numbers of “820” without hitting anything special or getting any of the asteroids! Final score was 53820! I saw Red had ended up somewhere at the bottom right of the screen. I did it again and got another 53820 with out any lava asteroids. Here’s a screenshot of the second time I got it:

You’ll see the trajectory I used as well as where red ended up…floating out to the right and all lava asteroids intact. weird! I didn’t pull real far back on the sling so it was ever so slightly “lower velocity” (but barely) as suggested by @sglouk (thank you for that)…and I guess it’s a matter of “how it hits” and getting all the little antenna pieces. I’m having to play this update on my iPhone because my iPad is an original and my version is too old to get it, so it’s hard for me to see everything as I’m so used to playing on my lovely iPad’s big screen! This is gonna take some getting used too, haha ;-))
GL
Thanks @lesleyg!! This level was (is!!) driving me crazy. I’ve played hundreds of time with varying angles and speeds. Is this a platform issue? I play on an iPad. @kathy and @steely59, did you get your scores on an iPad, perchance!
Really appreciate the screen shot.
@captrec This one drove me nuts also, I am using an android tablet. have faith through rest of the episode isn’t as monotonous as this level, so far ,i haven’t finished all.
Good Luck
Thanks @kathy! See the reply I just posted. Finally!
The rest are def more fun to play.
You’re very welcome @captrec ;-) I see you got the 53820 score, Yippee ;-)))
Woohoo! ! Congrats @captrec :D
Glad to see that you finally got it @captrec! Very boring start to the new levels though imo. I play on an Iphone 6 plus.
Thanks for the image @lesleyg! It was the top boulder getting the top antenna that gave the extra points.
many thx to @lesleyg for picture and @sglouk for tip
here a video with 53820:

Hallelujah!! @lesleyg you must be a good luck charm. Inspired by your screen shot and propelled by the whine factor, I finally got 53820. Destroying one of the antennae and having the small rock hit the planet was the key.
Thanks for the tip @sglouk :) this level is pretty monotonous, I hope the rest of the episode isn’t the same:(
Thanks @kathy, @lesleyg, and @steely59!
yvw @captrec :)
52k also 3* and 43k was 2* but almost impossible to get any closer than that.
Please, make space eagle walkthroughs for Solar System and Brass Hogs levels
Crazy level. There have been a few like this over the years… I noticed that I would get 53120 almost always until I saw an antennae hit one of the boulders. That’s how I got my 53820.
