Our strategy for Red Planet level 5-20 involves a little bit of luck. Launch Terence towards the rightmost stone sphere on the “satellite”. You want to push that structure far enough into the steam geysers. From there, you can expect the blocks to be bounced up and down long enough to detonate the left tnt. The debris from that explosion should destroy the blue crystal, and the pigs. Use a second bird to destroy the remaining pig, usually located at the bottom left.

Send Terence on the Top Ball of the satellite. Terence and the satellite have to come in the Stream and Push Down..this will clear allmost all the pig.only the one left Down is still there. Second Terence to destroy it.. 3 Stars and 107240 with this Strategy

Yes, this eventually worked. I find the bottom right pig very difficult to pop, but when you do get it on the first shot, you generally get excellent destruction on the level overall.
I used a similar strategy. I flung Terence in between the metal triangles on the left side of the (rather annoying) satellite, and eventually it clips the hat of the pig in the lower right, and all pigs on the right are killed. Then you just kill the pig on the lower left. Took me ages; it was a rock hard level! I eventually three-starred it.
Finally i get him, i use 3 terence birds on this way, score: 109.020
I also used this strategy & it worked after about 50 tries (luck & patience are required for this level) At first, I would restart if the first shot didn’t get the bottom right pig (above the TNT) but I realized that it’s still possible to get him with debris from the second shot (where u hit the far left pig).
I have a question that I cannot find the answer to. Sometimes I see on walkthroughs when they pull the bird back there is a white ball at the end. How do you get that and what does it do? Does it make the bird fly faster?
That’s just part of the screen recording software we use. It shows where our fingers are on the screen. Nothing more.
119240 I found hitting the triangle more so than the ball gives you a much better score. Being in first place feels good for the little time I’ll be there. :)
meh! saying this one takes ‘a bit of luck’ is like saying breathing takes ‘a bit of lung’. I am 50 points shy of the 3* score and can’t get over it! Rovio designers and programmers pushed this one out in a hurry without testing continuity and repeatablilty.
That or they’re trying to make our lives difficult :P

The suggested method is almost too hard and relies too much on luck.
try this…
hit the upper of the two left triangles on the left of the satellite. The trick is to make it wheel across the screen. It will break up and luck sadly, will dictate alot what it will hit.
but…..hit a second Terence at your first Terance and watch the damage unfurl. It takes a certain situation to make it work out but watch for it and this level gets easier

You provided me with the key to beating this level. I got three stars using three T’s. The key was hitting the prior Terrance as it started leaving the crator. This was how I was finally able to knock out the pigs in the lower right corner, nothing else worked for me. Didn’t matter how I hit the satellite.

I have been trying (and trying, and trying) a diff strategy: launching my first bird over the satellite so that it rolls through the curve into the blast of the 2nd steam volcano. Hit it just right, and the bird smashes into the lander and detonates the TNT. The debris causes much mayhem, but so far no 3-star score. Sounds like all the other winning strategies take many tries, too, so I will keep experimenting.
Toughest level depends on sheer luck.
When will the last 10 levels be released?

Have given this level everything and still no joy, tried every strat over n over and am really close but just can’t get those extra few points for 3 stars. Really need it BAD…..if it happens I won’t be attemping a higher score. They saved the real killer til last. I really am an AB tragic.
OMG joy at last. It took a long, long time and in the end I was just hurling birds wherever and hoping for the best. Hope to never encounter another level like this one, I’m soooo over it. Anyway, without the help of ABN and all those who went before me, iPad would probably be history by now (it was so frustrating) so thanks to everyone who posted a solution and to ABN for their fantastic work. I’m laughing again now.
This level took forever to get the “above average” mark! I had no problem getting three stars and scores from 106k to 109K but did not want to give up until I reached my goal of above average which sits at 111733. I was beginning to think I was going to have to just settle for 109700K. I tried a few more times this morning and finally got 113830! Yay!!! I used the walkthrough method but hit the second bird just slightly lower trying to pick up those few extra debris points. My advice is to just keep playing until you get it. If you hit the higher right stone ball in the dead center without hitting the red flashing light or the triangle it seemed to allow Terrence the best shot of coming back down to the right to clip the annoying bottom right antenna pig. If “T” doesn’t get him on the first shot, restart! GL @all. It’s a tough one for sure ;-)
@lesleyg “I had no problem getting three stars” is a phrase I will NEVER use on this level:). I have this level and 5-7 left to three star. I am officially invoking the “whine factor” ! I have played this until I see it in my sleep. Can I borrow your lucky iPad just for this and 5-7? I am going to try every suggestion here, fingers crossed-maybe if I play that way, it will happen?!
@wanda – I remember this level all too well and it was a doozy!!! lol ;-) Consider the lucky iPad all yours for this level and 5-7 too! I will check that one next and see if I can provide any help. I can’t remember which one it is. Also since you have officially invoked the “whine factor” I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before you land a great score. If I know you my friend, you will probably get a really high score when you’re least expecting it and blow mine out of the sky, lol!!! GL..keep trying! I know you can do it ;-)
@lesleyg thank you! Finally 3 stars on 5-7, but still about 2300 short on this one. I try to get a decent score before I enter them, but I think on these levels my barely over 3 star scores will help keep the average a bit lower ; ).

Tried this hundreds of times. Got lucky with what I thought was a first bad shot. Only thing left for 2nd shot was first pig and the structure he sits on and the crystal. Hit structure, killed pig and as last to birds were totaling score, debris hit crystal to put me in first place for this level. Don’t know if it will last, but just once, I wanted to see my name at the top!!!
I’ve found that hitting the front triangles will get you three stars more often, but most of my “higher” scores of 108-109K have been by hitting the top triangles. Been playing this one on and off for days and still can’t get above average. Might have to punt on this one…
Came back as I am a glutton for punishment. Hit right between the upper triangles and the connecting ball and luckily some debris took out the bottom right pig and the TNT (as his other friends on the right). Just had to clean up the bottom front pig for my lucky two birder. I won’t be visiting this level anytime soon again.
This level belongs in the danger zone… what is it doing here? its impossible to get 3 stars.
The description isn’t kidding when it says “with a bit of luck.” I had 109830 & have been trying on & off for MONTHS, literally, to beat the average when I lucked out & got 115990 this way:
After 1st shot as on video, I had 63k-64k with 3 pigs left (NOT as shown on video) and they were….. the pig on left (as on video), the pig on right above TNT & the smallest pig sitting on space ice fence on the far right. I almost always restarted when I had a pig remaining on right, but 63k+ was a decent start, so I didn’t quit.
I aimed the 2nd shot to get pig on left & then the “miracles” started…The pig on the right above TNT suddenly lifted up & to the right & popped so only the pig on far right was still in play…and as I watched with amazement I saw that a round orb broken off from the “satellite” hit in 1st shot floated down in front of 2nd bird which was now floating up & slightly right after having hit its intended left target. The very slowly floating bird hit the round orb PERFECTLY, sending it into the last pig on far right space ice fence. When I saw over 95k on screen I actually checked to make sure I still had 2 birds left for 20k in bonus birds points, after all, I’d been trying for so long I couldn’t believe I’d finally done it…
So for those who have just about given up hope, keep trying, it will eventually happen to you too.
The key to this success was the way the satellite hit with 1st shot broke up. As it broke, at least 1 of the round orbs was floating around near the bottom AT JUST THE PERFECT TIME & had that not happened … well you get the idea…
I prefer skilled shots to luck, but if the Admins say we need luck, who am I to argue? There are a handful of various levels in Birds, Seasons, Space & Rio I hope to never see again & this is one of them….now I still need to finish Space & beat the average on 5-15. I very rarely look at walk-through until I’ve gotten 3* on my own, so I have no clue whether the remaining levels are this frustrating & luck vs. skill based, but I hope not… I expect to he done well before our summer.
Finally broke 100K (101860) and was sitting there with a grin waiting for the third star, but, alas, it was not to be. Cursed like a drunken sailor for a few minutes…and then back to it. I found that aiming the first bird directly between the two left-hand triangles on the satellite will most times send the satellite debris and the bird into the lunar lander and TNT below it. Most times all but two or three pigs will be gone. WAIT! I need to bitch on here more often. I tried it one more time, even before hitting post comment, and wouldn’t you know it…two birds 106K. I hope to not see this level again for a long time!!
this is impossible to beat. I am doing exactly what the video says and I just cant get it and top it off this is the last level i have to beat in AB space and now I am seriously about to give up
I finally managed to 3 star this, but it took all 4 birds :-O. I’m happy with 3 stars and will never be back here ;-).
After a zillion tries I finally made 106k using 3 birds.
1. In the satellite as described above.
2. Bottom left pig.
3. Bottom rt pig. (Send Terence to top geyser and float down.)
I could never hit bottom rt pig with same bird as satellite. Bot rt pig guarded by bot rt geyser.
Wow that was tough – finally over average! Followed the “snooker” strategy and somehow BOTH TNT’s went off! So got 115k with 3 birds!
