Golden Rover #1 (E-R1) is located on level 5-3 of Angry Birds Space Red Planet. Zoom out and you will see the Rover on the extreme right of the level. Waste Terence then use the Lazer bird to reach the Rover. Once you hit the egg you’ll immediately be transported via a wormhole to the level, which pays homage to the Viking Rover. One strategy 3-starring this level is to fire the Ice bird toward the southern geyser to freeze the northern structure. Then blast the southern structure with the Black bird to fling debris all over the place, clearing the level.

It is possible to fling Terrence around the south of the planet to reach the Viking probe.
ummmmm I managed to get the golden rover without terence, you have to throw him backwards. :)
Any method to get the golden rover works. I got it by accident when debris was pushed over.
I was surprised to find that the video strat yielded a higher-than-average score. Not quite there yet, but I’m wondering if the people who got even higher scores have any tips?
Hey @mvnla2 nice score..I’m having lots of trouble with this one..any tips? I watched video several.times ..no luck:( hmmm..did someone borrow the ‘L’ factor and forget to return it?
@Kathy — Unfortunately, I don’t have anything additional, and video has higher score than I do. I also had a very hard time getting the shots to land in the right spot. It sometime helps to detonate the BB manually, just before or at impact to get wider spread of debris.

I know my score isn’t anything to write home about, but I found it much easier to use the Ice bird on the bottom first, and then bomb everything from the top down.
Got tired of trying the video method and maxing out @103k just below average so did the opposite as suggested by Nardles – freezing the bottom structure with the first bird and blowing up the top with the second to get to a respectable score of 105020.
The opposite worked better for me too. try to shoot the ice bird not too close to the upper steam so it “slides down” to the left of the lower middle tower. Then shoot the bomb bird like the ice bird in the video (curving through both steams) so it lands somewhere between the two towers on the top. With some luck the debris should take out all the remaining pigs. Highscore depend (of course) on the crystals that get hit by the debris.
This level is very annoying indeed ;-) I have the first shot down. If you zoom out (view full screen…I never know if people refer to this as zooming in or out?) Anyway when you can see the whole level, there is a bright star about horizontal to sling and slightly left of the bottom geyser. Send ice bird through this star (or SLIGHTY below)and you can get all of the top pigs and even a cyrstal. Ice bird will hit the center tower and freeze it while sliding down. The tower collapses and takes out all piggies and usually gets the left top crystal. 25K to 27K average. I’ve scored as high as 30K+ here. I’m just having trouble with the BB as it never seems to land in the same spot. Also debris must hit the “Helmet” pig and it often doesn’t. I’ve managed 106670 so far and think I’ve had enough. I hope my first bird shot will be useful to some of you but no tips here on the second BB.GL
I found it easier to send the ice bird down . The bomb bird causes more debris which tends to fall down and get big pig

I did this as in the video many many times with no luck. Nothing would ever hit the space helment pig. The best I ever did was cut his clamp which did nothing.
I got to fooling around with it and did the ice bird pretty much as in the video, but got him where he would almost always kill the two left piggies by aiming him a little bit higher than in the video.
Then I aimed the bomb bird -lower- than in the video. So that the end of his track is downward. That puts him on the left of the main tower below and hits helmet bird about 2 of 3 times. Only 99-101k but 3 stars.
I made 107 and 105 in 10 min. Just playing. Zig-Zag with 1st, 2-nd like film.
