Danger Zone level 30 is a bit challenging, but our strategy works pretty well. Send the Lazer bird just outside of the gravitational field of the bottom planet. As it drifts off screen, redirect it back into the stone planks in front of the far-right pig. The bird should both pop that pig and ricochet into the TNT on the left. After the smoke has cleared, send a Lazer bird just over the tower of the top-right planet, then redirect into the TNT. A word of caution: Be very mindful of debris on this level, as it can truly ruin the second shot. The score in the video below is 117,730.

I just finished playing this level for a little more than an hour and scored two 134+’s, a 136+, and the top score of 138880. That’s four top ten scores for this tough level almost back to back. I mention this not to brag, but to lend creedence to a slight change in stragety. All methods I read about say shoot the corum (combination bank) shot first followed by a clean-up shot on the tower on upper right planet. This second shot is hard to accomplish and results in a maximum of around 32K. Here’s the tip. Shoot the clean-up shot first. I’ve gotten as high as 139.5K, with an average of 136K. Since this is not duplcating points you’ll get on the corum shot it will improve your end score. Plus, if you don’t get a good score, shoot again. Nothing more frustrating than spending hours to accomplish good corum shot score, only to miss second shot because of those two little ice blocks. DZ-Addicts know which blocks I’m refering to.
1. The first shot is easy. Aim L-b half strenght at upper left corner of large X structure. Just as you clear it, shoot upper third of tower on upper right planet. You can accomplish this shot at full speed, but it’s easier and for some reason scores consistantly higher at half speed.
2. This shot is extemely difficult, but occasionally repeatable. Shoot L-b just outside gravity field of lower planet, just as it goes off screen tap lower right structure for a glancing blow into the concrete slab which hits the TNT. Consistency is key to finding a sweet spot that works for you. i.e. same power, same distance off gravity field, same distance before tapping concrete slab, same spot on concrete slab. Once you combine these four elements and have your sweet spot, it’s still a tough shot.

I don’t know if this is important. When I said let L-b just barely go off screen I should have mentioned I play on an I-Pad3. From reading posts I gather that you see more or less play field depending on which device you use.

Error in first shot scores. Should read 39.5K and 36K, not 139.5 and 136. Also duplicates score for 1 pig. Still, it allows you to maximize your score prior to the extremely difficult shot.
@rat9 used it to get an extra 2k. 128k => 130k
This mean the switching of birds.
The corum shot I use is a deflection of the left side of the lower left concrete plank on the rightmost boomeranglike structure. Which part do you hit? I did have a 127k 3birder so was wondering how to squeeze in the extra points. 138k is high but surely doable seeing all the debris flying.
I usually just get a tempo of shooting the birds. Aim, shoot, 1 2, speed up, aim shoot, 1 2 3 4, speed up, watch the blast. I noticed to get distracted by watching the amount of damage on 1st bird. The 2nd bird gets it’s speed up earlier than the damage stops on 1st bird.
The 128k was with the opposite order of shooting. The 2nd bird was shot and speeded up before the tnt of corum goes of because of the tempo. So no debris in the way or anything.
Way to go. I hit the center of the same concrete plank. One additional tip just for you, HaHa. The further you let the L-b go off the screen, the easier the corum shot. However, the further you go off, the lower the collateral damage score. Keep it tight at the edge for the really high scores.
@rat9 I am glad I have an iPad 3 then! Haha I am currently attempted your strategy. I’ll let you know as soon as possible if I can improve or not.
Once I got my shots down, it came pretty easy to me. This is a fun strategy to work around with and it improved my score by 11k points in about 15 minutes! Thanks so much for the great strategy!
Your welcome. You must let the second shot just clear the screen. If it stays on at the edge of the screen and you get the perfect corum shot, the slab doesn’t have enough momentum to blow the TNT. Very frustrating to watch that slab touch that TNT in the sweet spot and sit there. Keep at it,an additional 10K is fairly easy once you know what your doing. Good Luck (skill) LOL.
Excellent strategy. I probably lack your finesse to get the most out of the second shot, but I wonder if my change to your first shot can add to the total score…
Instead of shooting the tower directly, I clip the very tip of the NE crossarm along the way. This sends the entire NE crossarm into the gravity field for a score of (well) over 50.000 after shot 1.
If the NE crossarm would end up in a gravity field after a perfectly executed shot 2 anyway, I suppose my chance makes no difference to the score. And in that case, your original strategy is much simpler.
@burpie Don’t know. Interesting twist that makes for two difficult shots linked together. Your going to cost me some sleep trying to figure this one out.
Thanks for the tips @rat and @burpie ;-) I used full power and used burpie’s first bird strat to clip the NE tip of the crossarm along the way. LB loses some speed but still has enough power to tip over the top right structure. Scores are easily 52K to 54K but I’ve had as high as 57K after this shot. Second bird same as Rat but maybe slightly more outside the gravity field…about the width of the bird. As soon as he goes off screen, I aimed for about the middle of that bottom plank as described above. On my highest score of 134530, I missed the other metal plank slamming into the tnt but the LB hit it dead on. I hope some of these tips can help others. I improved 12K so far ;-)
@rat9 Thanks for posting this strategy. While I have yet to pull off the second shot as suggested (making the plank hit the TNT) the first shot description helped me raise my score by 10k !!!!!
Great strategy increased my score by 7k and made into top fifty, now to see if I can do better, thx.
@rat9 thank you for the great explanation. Getting the lazer bird to knock the plank into the TNT is really trick to do, but I have managed it several times. My problem is the helmet pig on the lower left – every time the plank sets off the TNT he is left sitting there. If the lazer bird hits the TNT I’ve noticed it’s actually that plank that gets that pig, so I guess it takes some lucky debris to move down to take him out? I’ve had enough destruction to have a couple of 140k+ scores except for that pig.
Got 134k using the the 3rd bird on the helmet swine.
@karen68 Your right there. If you hit the plank just so, while holding your tongue just right, the piggy will die. Sounds like your well on your way to first place. I wish you all the best.
@rat9 ha ha so if I have to hold my tongue just right I guess I’d better cross as many fingers & toes as possible too. I’ve seen a couple of the small glass/ice squares nudge that dastardly pig but not hard enough to push him over. Thank you for the encouragement :)
Great Strategy, I am sure @rat9, Only thing is, with this level zoomed all the way out on my little iPhone screen, my fingertip is bigger than any of the planets, much less one single plank that I am trying to hit the middle of. Every once and a while I can luck into the two bird solution, but more often than not, I need a third shot to get the TNT to blow up the big ship. 127k with three birds so far still looking for that elusive high scoring two birder. I think this is the level that had me considering a stylus at one time…
@rat9 and @filmore1234 just so I make sure i understand. When you are talking about the carom shot with the lazer bird. I CAN and have cause the LB to hit that lower right panel and then the LB skitters off into the TNT. The way I have read some of your comments though makes me think that you somehow have knocked a stone plank into the TNT instead. Is that the method you are talking about?
You are correct. The LB hits the concrete slab on the SE corner of the large structure and pushes it into the TNT. This is a difficult shot and not for the faint of heart. Good luck. Always willing to help a future DZ Addict.

it is not a new or spectacular strategy but the point I want to draw attention to is the actual viewable screen area. It has more visible real estate than I have EVER seen on a level. Do you have any idea of how is it that they can do that or is it available to only them and NOT the rest of us tireless slingers? It kinda really ticked me off seeing it knowing how hard these levels are.

Cause I have iPhone, droid, iPad and PC version and I can’t do that with any of those. I did send an email asking them about it though.
With some screen recorders on PC, you can choose how the cursor appears (or doesn’t appear).
Mac does not Danger Zone at this time.
@amslimfordy Now that I’ve seen this video, I have screen envy. I have an Ipad and always need to do a mental time count while my birds go off screen before bringing them back. Almost wish I’d never seen it. Can’t lust after something you didn’t know existed. LOL
By accident I found out that this must be indeed the PC version. I got my best score before I found this, and will not come back to this level – but for those still struggling here’s how to get that view.
1st in main menu switch to window mode. Then resize the window – shrink it! There will be several warnings regading resolution and gameplay – just ignore them. When I have downsized the window to 480×440 I can see everything that the developers usually hide from me and my tiny netbook display. This could be extremely useful in PB 1-17 and Egg-3 by the way. I will re-visit those levels now.
I know this is an old conversation, but haven’t seen that video before now when I returned to this level. I’m pretty sure that it really isn’t from PC version, ’cause if you look at the left upper corner, it only shows the “Pause” -button and also the Space eagle -button and so far we don’t have Space eagle available on PC. I’ve got only the Pause button and Restart button. It’s a bit off-topic, but I thought that I bring the point out anyway :)
Gah, I’m having really a hard time with this level. I started with a 121k score and after many, many restarts I managed to get 1k more, YAY. Well maybe I just keep on trying, though I think it will cause me nightmares, haha :D
i wonder why king pig isn’t on the last level.
They ran out of clones.
I keep edging closer and closer to that addict badge, fortunately the walkthrough video is dead on for this level, I’ve yet to try some of the above suggestions.

Wow, thank you all, I finally went from 103180 to 105840 by myself, But just needed to get those 3 stars. final score on this was 126180.
I had a really hard time with that first shot! I figured out that I could 3-star it with 3 birds…
First, send the laser bird up just northwest of the gravitational field of the north-most planet. After it has left the screen, redirect it back to explode the TNT on the big planet. (Click just between the big piggie’s eye and the tnt box.) If you don’t get at least 31k points from this explosion, start over.
Next, send laser bird around the very bottom of the gravitational field of the south-most planet. As it comes around just near the piggy-in-a-helmet, redirect it to the tnt in the floating X. This should bring you up well over 100k. If you are extremely lucky, some debris will hit the last piggy on the south-most floating stones/ice.
More likely, you will need to use the last bird to take out the last piggy. Just fire outside the gravitational field of the south-most planet and take out as much of the south-most floating stones/ice as you can by aiming north into the planet just above it.

I lost my space app during an amazon update. I’m sure I followed the walkthrough but has been a while. I was trying to get my original scores back. I have tried to replicate. Have not been able to today but have come close. Will keep trying.
