The best strategy for Cold Cuts level 2-9 is to send the Blue bird just above the first pig, splitting so that one bird causes the boulders to fall. Managing this while popping the left pig can yield very high scores. We missed the left pig in our video, so we use Ice Bird to ruin his day.

One birder relatively easy if you split the blue bird early enough to catch the left most pig and knock down the boulders. I used a similar angle as in the walkthrough, just separated the birds earlier. Then hope for lots of damage :).

I can get this shot easily too but the score just isn’t there for me. The highest I’ve gotten this way is 64,810. : (
trying to catch al three stars i tried the method above and miracously did a similar thing with one bird woop woop x was trying for hours to get three stars on this level… finally

I can never get one bird to take out all the pigs. But, I found it easy to take out the tiny ice cube holding up the boulders. So if I took them out and scored at least 42,000 from those boulders I could then use the Icebird to take out the left pig. I use the iceberg to target the triangle on the planet surface on the far left. It would take out a certain portion of the ice underneath the pig causing the pig to fall. You earned approximately 12,000 points by doing that bringing you up over 64,000.
71380 – 1 Bird. Aim for the little triangle on top of where the left-most pig is, and split the blue bird a little before it hits and it should be perfect to hit the left pig, hit the block holding the ball and chains and do enough damage to maximize the damage the ball and chains do. I tried it several times. The real trick is to pave the way for the ball and chains. One time they fell and did almost nothing.

I aimed just below your point in the video (between the ice plank and the ice block). Last second split and 73,000+.
Have tried this one and must be just off in the aim keeps returning scores in the 60-65 k range.

This worked a little better for me, thanks sinrise. But I still have been able to break 70k. . I’ll keep trying.
You are so right about the ball and chains…I got my one birdie the same but the scores do vary alot depending on how the stones and chain fall…anywhere from 58K to my high of 71575.

Aim fo the blue part of the first top triangle. Split shortly before.
That most times clears the level with a one-birder.
73900 – One bird clear same as every one else described.
But my observation is that the middle structure has to be greatly diminished for the third ball to swing down hard and slam into things. This can be observed in E-Star’s video.
I aim for the top surface of the horizontal ice supporting the triangle as mentioned in sinrise above. The key is to split the bird as close as possible. If you release close enough, then after split, the lowest blue bird (the ideal case would be the lowest two birds, which led to my current score) would hit the ice in the central structure. So by the time the three boulders hit the structure, most of the ice have already been broken, and the energy of the boulders would be used to crush the wood instead. On the other hand, if the blue bird is not split close enough, it is very unlikely to get a score higher than 73k.
Agreed on the split VERY close! If you don’t accidentally crash into the first structure before splitting every once in a while, you are not splitting late enough. I have been lining up my targeting dots with the very end of the ice plank above the first pig.
Used most the strategies listed above. All worked fine on obtaining 3 stars.
It seems the key is like what HKG mentioned about splitting the blue bird as close as possible the the first structure.
HKG is right. By splitting the blud bird as close as possible, you can easily get between 71 to 73k. I guess with a bit of luck you can get a better score
One question- how does Angryboy have a score of 112k, when nobody else who posted strats got more than 76k?
I removed @angryperson‘s three scores from Cold Cuts. Hopefully they were simply typos…
