Angry Birds Space Cold Cuts Level 2-2 Walkthrough

Cold Cuts level 2-2 is very difficult. One strategy is to send a Red bird into the asteroid below the gravitational field and into the icy asteroid next to it. Then launch the Blue birds through the icy asteroids behind the chain. Hopefully this can get you close to three stars.

With the red bird, I hit the top half of the gray asteroid (the one below the gravitational field). This caused the asteroid to hit the icy asteroid next to it, which hit the two single pigs, and the red bird curved around the gravitation field (without entering into it) just enough to hit the three pigs at the top. I only used one bird and scored 50,405 for three stars. I was stuck on this level for an hour and tried this strategy dozens of times. Very tricky level.

By MwR

This is tricky no doubt, and recommend using zoom, because you’d want to aim it delicately, exploit the gravitational field just a bit.

I got 50035 from two birds. I hit the rock below the small planet with the red bird so it went into the icy asteroid which split and destroyed the two single pigs. I then fired the blue bird through the top of the gravitational field of the small planet and split it so it went into the triple pig and smashed the asteroids behind them. Usually gets 45,000 plus – getting 3 stars depends on how things rattle round and smash up. Good luck – this level is a real Pig! LOL!

I hit the lowest grey asteroid on the bottom half. This sent it to hit the blue iceberg next to it and then other stuff ricocheted into the other blue asteroids which took out all the birds.

Others say the top half and manipulate the field. I tried for half an hour and then accidentally hit the lower half of the lowest grey rock. Worked right away :)

Good luck!

I was trying to copy E-star’s approach on my iPhone, but my finger slipped a bit at the launch of the red bird. It went high, just barely kissing the gravitational pull, bounced off the top ice planet and back down to hit one of the two ice balls to the right of the three pig pod. This blew up the other ice ball, and the flying pieces wiped out all the pigs. Score was in the low 50’s. Further attempts either missed the ice balls to the left or I hit too much of the gravitational pull and missed the upper planet completely. May have been a once in forever shot, post if you are able to have any success with it. I know a lot of people are having issues with this level, so I figured it was worth a post.

The bird and some of bits of the destroyed icy asteroid hit the lowest pig and nudged the middle pig closer to the piggy trio-my score was about 12,700 after this. Second bird like video, but because the groups of pigs were closer together, I was able to hit them more accurately when I split the blue bird. I am much happier with my score now :). Beautiful strat jzdanger, your notes plus wrw01’s addendum about the side to hit allowed me to score 61K. I think 62-65K is possible with an outside chance at 70K if somehow the large ice asteroid on the left gets taken out, there were still two smaller ice asteroids on the top right when the level ended for me. What actually happened was the rock asteroid glanced off of the ice asteroid and then just barley clipped the pig in the bubble (with the helmet) then continued on to break the ice chain and set off the ice asteroids ending the level and popping the remaining three pigs. So I noticed that a lot of you shooters think that this is an extremely difficult level. I am here to shed some light on what I think is an extremely repeatable method (at least to me it is!)

Bird #1- Aim on the very underside of the medium sized asteroid. Pretty much as low as you can get to it before you miss it altogether. The asteroid should go through the top of the ice-teroid which pops the pig in that little “Car” and then the asteroid goes on to pop the Helmet Pig. Only the 3 Pigs in the one bubble should still be there.
Screenshot of where to aim– http://i1242.photobucket.com/albums/gg538/Fillmore1234/Angry%20Birds%20Screenshots/7f00a3d0.jpg
The shot tends to get me 16k points every time

If you want the one-bird shot, what you have to do is aim a wee bit higher on you shot, so that the asteroid hits the very top of the ice-teroid but just BARELY pops the bottom of the helmet pig’s bubble. With enough force (and luck!) it should go through the glass chain and pop one of the ice-teroids, which should destroy all the rest of the pigs if lucky!

Bird #2- If you didn’t get a miraculous one-bird shot, then aim you second blue bird just like this: http://i1242.photobucket.com/albums/gg538/Fillmore1234/Angry%20Birds%20Screenshots/e9dd34ad.jpg
And split right after the bird passes the big asteroid. If you aimed and split it right, the birds will pop the bubble and at least 2 of the 4 ice-teroids. Sometimes one of the ice-teroid pellets knock the big asteroid inside the gravity field, giving you a substantial amount of points.

With this method I get consistent 53-55k points, so good luck! :) @kathy I’m gonna mention you if you want to try this level again with my strategy!

Rank: Deputized with 125 points

Aim with red at the far end of this same asteroid on description. This will make the icy asteroid split, and the asteroid will go directly at the Helmet Pig. Then shoot the blue bird at the upper side of the planet, but not too much, I’d say the middle of the gavitaional field. When you are almost quitting the field, split the birds. It will pop the bubble, and, if you are lucky, hit those icy asteroids. Did 53k!

I only got it to work once, but a few other times I did manage to hit the pig with the helmet, just not hard enough to break it. Points at that fling: 35,xxx. 5000 points for the last pig and 10000 for each of the 2 unused birds.

Hmm. If I missed the helmeted pig, I never got him to pop for a 1-birder. My solution, takes a ridiculous amount of luck & finesse, but if you aim right, you can punt the boulder, BARELY clip the helmeted pig’s bubble, and still get the chain reaction. The best chances come when the boulder is rotating counter-clockwise. You have to aim a shade higher, but this sends it with the CCW spin, so when you clip the pig bubble, it rolls right off him and onto its destiny. It is tough, though. You have to hit like the outer 1/10th of the bubble to avoid deflection or a bounce. I can only do it about 1 in 15 tries, but it’s worth it.

One neat thing I noticed; when done right, the boulder does almost the exact same job that bird #1 did in @e-star ‘s awesome video. That thing still amazes me.

@kelani a little help here? Ive tried Estar video over and over the first time i played these levels was on my android phone now i am on nexus tablet where are you aiming ? To hit the spinning boulder up top? If I do then red just bounces back to the planet. This was my worst level ever! :(

@Kathy I shot like the walkthrough video, but aimed more to the right, so the boulder flies over and *barely* clips the helmet pig’s bubble. If you do it right, it’ll keep going in a straight line and eventually take out pretty much what Estar’s first bird does. It may only work when the boulder’s spinning counter-clockwise. Definitely not an easy shot.

I can tell this level has given you trouble. I see whines up there from 2012 :)

Despite many, many attempts, I remain stuck at 61180, as a dozen of other flingers. Here is the method, probably the one outlined by @Kelani and before by @xanadude.

In my opinion, the boulder spin does not matter at all, the outcome does not depend on it.

Note also that some design change occurred in the level. There are more ice boulders in this version (from 1.3.0 to 2.0.0) than in @e-star‘s video, which may come from an older version. My shot is not possible in the older version.
