Rovio is celebrating #SpaceDay with NASA by announcing a brand new Angry Birds Space update called “Beak Impact”. The new episode is to be released on June 5th, 2014. Details are sparse, but they did release the above teaser image that shows a 3-eyed pig. I would watch out for hiiim

Yes i am!!! Space is my favorite Angry Birds game, and its a long time ago they updated it, and this looks really nice!
New levels are always a good thing!

Finally! I’ve finished almost all the Space levels! Can’t wait!
Those faint green gravity fields must have some new function, as they seem to not have affected Red’s trajectory in any way.
This is pure speculation, but I think they might be some sort of “kryptonite” field that stops the player from using the bird’s power. (This might be the reason for the green gems.)
I can’t help myself but to think they are some sort of stink left behind by pig habitation. Green gas? Lol!
From what I’ve heard, they’re moveable asteroids. And since Red is in the center, he likely isn’t being affected for either, but rather both at the same time. Likely wrong, but….
Movable asteroids would be so cool, and a nice tie-in to NASA’s Asteroid Redirect mission.
OH! NOW I GET IT! IT’S A PARODY OF THAT MOVIE WITH THE BIG ASTEROID! It was ‘something’ Impact, I think.

The 3 eyed pigs are hilarious! I wonder if its mutation from radiation exposure, or natural evolution to look over their huge inflated snouts?
I think it’s the activation of Pig Puffer (see the air clouds around them).
I finally saw the green grav fields. I thought everyone was talking about the triangular green spikes on the boulders.

Always good to have new levels on any version of AB. Although Space is my least favourite. Generally whatever was offered by Space is now offered by SW.
I’m more interested in Epic. Any idea on when it’ll be available in the UK?
They have finished creating this chapter because above picture is a screenshot. so why they wanna release it at 5th June? I hope they release for PC at same day.
Because that’s Space Day. It’s likely they’ll release it later on the PC though, because even though Rovio has a screenshot of ONE level doesn’t meant they have ALL OF THEM ready to release.
PC always gets the short end of the stick. Rio Blossom River was almost a month later, and unless I missed something, Short Fuse still hasn’t arrived.
The PC update delays in Bad Piggies were rather amusing. All that cool stuff, and once waited about 3 weeks for the PC update to appear so I can record videos.
No matter, it took more than 6 months for me to actually find new uses for the parts, lazy pig that I am :)
Anticipation of new levels or games is always the best part because it provides hope.
Playing them to satisfy our expectations is the next best experience because our OCDs are momentarily satisfied.
Yes I look forward to a Space update, more stars, maybe a different bird and who knows different space atmospheres/environments to fling the birds through.

Space is my all time favorite Angry Birds game and I am looking forward to play it again, from scratch on a new device.
At long last! A Space update is really long overdue, and coinciding it with World Space Day makes it even better! Looks great and the amount of new elements makes me excited! Can’t Wait!

Finally, finally, finally! A Space update. It was a great idea to put it near Space Day.
I hope they have a Seasons and Bad Piggies update, too. Rovio should add Minion Pigs in Bad Piggies. No reason for it exactly, but think of the possibilities. I can think of a few.
In Rovio’s pre-release trailer they showed that there were multiple pigs available in Field of Dreams. Not so in the release version. Understandably, some ‘junior’ fans were not happy.

I love the tie-in to NASA and the recent asteroid missions! They should also make birds that are Neal deGrasse Tyson and Carl Sagan. :-)

Does anyone know if this update just adds Beak Impact? I’ve seen a few offhand comments elsewhere that implied 20 levels being added to existing Space episodes.

Probably having something to do with the new chapter? Maybe collecting something that’ll unlock new levels in the other worlds?
