My precious! Our strategy for Angry Birds Seasons The Pig Days Level 1-12 is to fling stella towards the floating pig. The boulder should drop on the tnt below and clear that side of the level. Then send as many birds as necessary at the base of the “Eye of Sauron” tower. The score in the video below is 288,860. This level honors Hobbit Day, which takes place on the the birthday of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins.

1st Stella to winged boulder in centre – lucky explosion of card beneath sent debis flying high to the right to take out some high holding spikes and chains.
2nd Stella to far right to take out lower holding spikes
Matilda fairly straight to bomb cart debris and hit towards top of tower
Bomb bird (before it times out!!) to base of tower.
I’m sure more nesters will have better strats – just wish the leaderboard was open before the whole world wakes up and starts to fling!

@terribletom agree it’s the easiest and fun too! I got my best score so far by mixing and matching several strats and completely missing the ‘bat’ boulder bird with my first Stella!!!
Slight variation on @mumsie42 when there is good destruction of cart with first bird, send the second Stella to the base of the tower to clear the bottom stones and cage. Matilda in low to base of tower to clear the tower a la bomb bird with little debris remaining. 307k and 1 bird bonus for 317k. 3 pumpkins and a bit of debris left from cart and some stones left from tower would bring total closer to the current high score of 320k.
305320 – w/ all 4 birds. first Stella in between “claw”, 2nd Stella in same area to finish the piggies in that area. White bird drops her bomb on debris left over into the top of tower between spikes and Bomb bird to the space tucked in next to bottom of tower and ‘cage’ attached on left side. tower has to collapse on itself just the right way to get maximum brick breakage
still w/ all 4 birds, same strategy, just upped my score to 313,560 :) Love the pig days challenges, having too much fun at an early hour!
Very similar to @butters, but I tend get a better vertical collapse of the tower shooting the bomb bird higher up the tower.
First Stella can do plenty damage by picking up “bat” on top of “vagon”. Picking up depbris with next Stella works for me.
White bird targeted to chains can collapse the tower. If there is not total garnige last bird is needed to take care of the stones.
I do get with 3 or 4 birds similar results around 300k.

So far I have finished level with 2 Stella’s, but score is only 2 stars.
I am sure we get some huge one or two bird scores later today.

1. High arc 1st bird to just miss floating pig and drop into left side of cart. Most everything will blow up with scores usually between 85k – 90k (highest so far with first bird 95280).
2. Second bird to pick up as much debris as possible. Watch for the skulls with golden eyes in the pigs’ helmets, as they are worth 3,000. Use second bird to destroy these too if they didn’t break already.
3. Matilda to drop her egg on small “cell” structure and weaken tower.
4. Bomb bird to the fifth row up of pillar (the first with only 6 blocks), and let him self-detonate.
Just entered my score and got top score – for a few minutes at least!! Congratulations @butters coz you are already 2,000 more than me! I just happened to enter my score first, so can bask in glory until the bigger scores come in lol :))

Wow – got really lucky this time – same strat as described, but furthest most little pig killed by debris from Matilda, so rapidly fired bomb bird (level times-out quickly once all pigs are gone). Tower imploded and collapsed with almost no debris left. (Have screen shot but not sure how to attach to a post).
Sometimes, this level finished too quickly…. And the hobit’s tower isn’t collapse
When the black Bird explosed and the last piggy die, 4 or 5 seconds after and the level end.
was just about to comment on that. easy level got 316k, but three times now on a posable 330k+ the level has ended in mid tower collapse
I think the best placement for the first Stella is just under the left wing on the stone of the flying Pig Bat. This way Stella lands down in the bottom right corner of the cart. After the giant explosion, you want debris to fly up to the top of the tower knocking down some of the sprockets and spikes. My best first bird score was 132350! Here’s a screenshot:

After that score, Unfortunately I could of done a lot better with the next two birds and ended up with a 108K+ score.
Depending on the outcome…determines where to send second Stella and WB. Either send to remnants of the debris or go for the tower…
For the Bomb Bird I got better destruction of the right tower by sending him a bit higher up…just under the middle skeleton box, behind where the left arrow was in that pocket.

I agree with you @lesleyg sending the first pink to the bottom left side of the boulder with the flying BatPig makes her drop down and she can pick up a lot of debris to drop down after the explosion has done it’s thing. The next two birds I used to take away the cage on the left side of the tower and the last bird I send 4 rows up counting from the bottom up. I got a score of 313760 this way.
I enjoy this level, I loved the movies and I love the big crashes in the AB games. But even more so, it doesn’t take patience like level 1-11 does :p

Great video @e-star ;-) We used the same 1st and 4th shots! Your “4 rows up from the bottom” is exactly “behind where the left arrow was in the pocket” I was referring to ;-) I wasn’t quite sure where to put #2 & #3 but I like your choices! Especially your #2 Stella placement. Sometimes she picks up that crazy flag and upside down “L” me and @snoid were referring to in a few post down…I actually got this piece to fly over with it’s “craziness” and rack up a few thousand points when it spazzed out on one of the remaining wooden balls before the ball ended up breaking. Pretty funny ;-)
Now I just need to work on my score!
And yes! Definitely like these types better as you know! Big Explosions with no waiting 8-)
That stone “L” can do some serious damage if you’re lucky.

I’ve had the “L” the slide around & do a bit of damage a few times, but this time it landed, slid to the right & kept going, pushing debris into the bottom of the tower.

As long as at least the flagpole is attached to the “L” you can get some crazy movement. It can fly way over to the left after being picked up by one of Stella’s bubbles. Most of the time I picked up only a few points before the flagpole broke off.

I too have had the “L” banging against cage that was still there. The “L” was slightly wobbling against the cage over and over again and after 30 minutes or so I finally gave up. Happy to know it can be done :)
@e-star, @peejaydee27 thank you! – But this was true “L-factor” in every sense. I admire your patience E-star for waiting 30 min for something to happen. For me it all happened very fast, it only took a few seconds for the “L” to power through the base. I’m sure it will happen for someone else sooner or later :)
@karen68 I just experienced the “sliding L”! I used @lesleyg first shot, then continued with my usual shots, two to clean up debris, then bomb bird to the base. Had nice collapse of the tower, but then sliding L did more clean up to the left. There was still a fair amount of debris near the tower, so higher scores should be coming.
I haven’t played this level since it first came out. Boy, it sure is easier to get scores above 320k now, my best score back then being 320k.
I played pretty much the same as before. First bird like @lesleg. Stella to do a little cleanup. Matilda also to do cleanup, but I aim her high to MISS the spikes at the top of the tower. To me, hitting the spikes just messes up the fourth bird. I plant the bomb bird snugged up to the base of the tower, to the right of where the red flag used to be. 336k, top score, with a bit of room for improvement.

And nice it was, huh! Good for you!!! It’s pretty funny this whole “L” thing coming up again! Years ago there was an “L” shaped piece within a level that required some luck as well and I was trying to explain it and I used the “L” shaped term which I believe is what originally started the whole “L” factor throughout the Nest, hahaha…I’m pretty sure @Kathy and others might remember ;-)))
Now I’m gonna have to keep playing to see if I can get some of that “L” factor ;-) Oh dear…dinner will be late tonight, tee hee 8-)
1. Launched the first Stella as @lesleyg described but bounced her off the bottom of the stone, with the wings and a face, so she lands in the bottom right corner of the kart. Picks up the stones and carries them to the tower for some additional destruction and points. Goal is in mid 90k+.
2. Used the second Stella and White Bird to eliminate as much of the remaining debris from the kart and the first Stella that is to the left of the tower.
3. Land the Bomb Bird into the same area as @e-star depicted in her video.
This level was fun. Started at 303K, stayed at it to obtain 310K and 313k (plateau) and got a lucky break with the destruction of the falling tower to obtain the present score.
Well, I’ve got to say I don’t find this level fun at all. It frequently times out while the tower is collapsing, not to mention timing out when it is about to collapse. Grrr!
Much the same as @lesleyg and @e-star although I aimed to just touch the bottom of the Boulder dropping Stella onto cart where she grabbed debris before the Boulder exploded the whole thing. Clever girl that she is she carried the debris to the right inflicting some damage. Second bird between the spear and the first spike, they rose and took out the next two protrusions Egg dropped as close to the bulk of the tower as possible and bomb bird into lower part of tower. I found if the tower dropped straight down it seemed to produce more points. Final score 330510

I got it the same basic approach as before but here are today’s details:
Stella to just under the wing, hitting the stone and dropping it for a grand explosion! Not a whole lot of middle debris left, all though my far right middle pig survived…the one holding the spear.
Second Stella to a few pieces of debris on the left side.
Third, WB in a low arch, dropping her egg on that surviving pig. Luckily she didn’t disturb the tower too much.
Fourth, BB in the “pocket” which is now to land on top of the 4th stone up and ignited BB manually. I’m not sure if that makes a difference…I just didn’t want him to roll off left ;-)
Double Ooopsy! I thought that was awful easy. I haven’t flung a challenge in forever and have forgotten how to look at the score. No time now to correct it. Maybe later. Maybe?

I’m getting slightly higher scores with Stella through the chain, activating on impact. This frequently causes an explosion and also drops the bat-stone onto the debris for the extra points. Sometimes.
Has anyone else had the weird sliding back and forth of the upside down “L”? After the first bird Stella explosion…several times now the cement slabs that were attached to the flag pole at the bottom right little cage, that forms an upside “L”, just sits there going back and forth rather rapidly! Weird…I wonder if it could cause a big explosion to the bottom part of the tower with the skulls…sometimes it pushes the other cement piece near the base of the tower…
@lesleyg I’ve had that happen a couple of times, too, unfortunately also without an explosion as a result. One time, the end of the implement the right side pig on top of the cart is holding (it looks like a giant pizza cutter!), came down on top of it while it was rocking. I think it broke off the remnant of the flagpole, and then the inverted “L” skittered across the ground until it came to rest against some debris from the cart. In fact, that was the try that I got my high score on. I don’t think that there was any relationship, but who knows with AB? I also like the way some of the levels of the tower with the chains behave when they are hit, sliding to the right, etc., but while that causes the top to collapse, it never destroys the bottom.
@snoid I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing things, hahaha. Right after I read your post…on my next fling…something even stranger happened! I was flinging my second Stella which bounced off that vertical “arrow” and landed on top of the small “cage” structure there…she picked up the stone planks and after dropping them back down, the flag shook violently then after a slight delay, the crazy “L” piece took on a life of it’s own and flew left with a power all of it’s own while doing somersaults before landing to the ground! It was crazy looking! Like you said, no points to speak of came out of it but you never know with AB’s! It sure was funny ;-))) Now if we could just get it to do it’s craziness directed towards the tower for a grand explosion…that would be nice!
@lesleyg The somersaults definitely sound very cool; mine just slid. If you figure out how to redirect it toward the tower, please let me know.
@snoid – I haven’t got it to work…just yet, but very close several times. Karen68 was able to get the “L” factor…Not sure if you saw her post above but if you send the second Stella to grab it, you can definitely trigger it every time. Getting it to go towards the right tower and go all the way through, has eluded me so far…It usually likes to do the somersault while going left. I have had it flip and land right but it didn’t push all the way though so no cigar. Also it’s very annoying as once triggered…debris often likes to come crashing down on it removing the flag pole which stops it’s action. I am still trying. I’ll let you know if I can get it to work ;-)
@lesleyg Thanks for directing me to Karen68’s post. So it can be done, and it’s produced the high score; therefore, the “L” isn’t a fluke, but a deliberate part of the game added by Rovio. They’re very good at what they do. (And I like your explanation of the origin of the term “L” factor.)
yes! first bird like @e-Star but down to the left side (no damage to “L”), second right to “L”; “L” go to the left and lift upside down. Sometime “L” go to tower cause explosion to the bottom part (normally the cage stop “L”). 308K with 2 Birds, 2 Birds remaining.

I use the first three birds in such a way that I do the most damage to the stuff to the left of the tower with doing as little damage as possible to the tower. I find the tower collapses better when it is mostly intact after the first three birds.
First bird, a lob to bring down the floating pig and blow up the cart.
Second and third clean up debris, being careful to not hit the tower, especially with the white bird carcass.
Hopefully have 97k at this point with no damage to tower,
Bomb bird to the base.
adjusted my first bird, now doing like @lesleyg above, going under the left wing. Added 4k for 315k.
That little cart crawled all the way across the grass and up the hill to attack my awaiting Stella!

I wonder what the lowest 1 star score possible is. I made 143K with a one birder. A piece of stone took out the yellow metal thingy on top of the tower and dislodged enough stones to take out the rightmost piggie at the base of the tower. So thats 30K in bonus and 113 in piggies and debris.

-the level shows locked, but clicking it lets you play it anyway.
-the date/time are correct, but time period was set to AM instead of PM.

One birder! Same first bird as everyone else, but cart explosion threw enough debris into the tower to take everything down for a score of 314,550.
I’m growing weary of getting 95-96k with bird 1, barely getting above the 10k face value for each of the next 2 then destroying the entire tower but never replicating my 303? In fact, since I got that score the first time, I can’t break 300! Regardless of whether my first bird nets 76,000 or 96,000 I ALWAYS score 296,000. Is anyone else getting atuck in a Rovio rut? Do I need to reset? (And I, too, have seen the skittering “L” but haven’t had the whole cart travel.” If there was any variety to my ending score I might enjoy this level like many of you but, as it’s going right now…not so much. The “L” will scoot if you can manage to lift it and drop it with the red flag remaining attached. It will destroy, for points, anything in it’s path until the flag is destroyed. Oh…five minutes after my minor whine above – the game threw me another 1000 points to shut me up. What it doesn’t realize is that’s not enough. Not until it adds another 0 to that increase! : )
I sympathize totally. I’m not whining, as I was lucky enough to get 314K in my first few shots when the level first opened. But I still like to try and catch up with some of the big scorers (ok, I’m greedy lol). But now I can barely get 300K, even using my original strat. I obviously just got a lucky break, and not down to skill really (as happens often with AB). I’ve tried so many times and zilch. As for the flag and the crazy ‘L’, I thought that might prove to be a real boost, but it seems like just a gimmick, and no real destructive powers. Ah well – try again tomorrow….and the day after…and….

Hi @peejaydee27 – I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds major luck right when a level is released and then finds a point drought later on. (At the same time I’m sorry for anyone else seeing it!) I came back just before 4am (yes, you read correctly) and eked out another 4k to get me just above average. I also discovered that if I activate the last bird (bomb) the tiniest bit early, RIGHT as it impacts the stones, the bottom of the “guitar” gets blown out from under which gives those falling a bigger impact when they fall. This means more crushing ability and what got me the extra points. I’m sure someone else must have written by now that if Matilda knocks down the top half of the guitar neck it’s actually a bad thing. Again, it’s down to all that force of stone upon stone. Your 314 is respectable but I get you; I’m greedy, too. Let’s call it competitive : ) I’m off to Seasons Greedings as I noticed I never got score addict. Now THAT’S a frustrating release!
317.330 on this great level. Distroy as much as possible with the first three birds in front of the tower, the last bird will make the tower fall in most of the trial
Launch Stella over the cart aiming for the top left corner of the red flag at the base of the tower, then inflate. The flag has to go, and the flagpole has to stay intact. The L-shaped block with pole will rise with the bublles and do a clockwise loop and hopefully land at the base of the tower where it will burrow toward the two skull TNTs at the base, bringing the tower down, and hopefully, falling toward the cart to take all that out. The cart debris needs to take the winged pig out, which hasn’t happened to me yet. Doing it with one bird is possible. My best with two birds is 303k.
I’ve commented enough above (when this level was released) but as I can’t get even 300k for challenge day I hate it even more. My friend the crazy L did a big loop to the left today. At first it looked happy but I believe the level is just mocking me. I’ve been so close to puppies the last few days but I don’t see that happening tonight. Ugh. Good luck, all!
Hi @maiasatara. We exchanged comments and frustrations when this level first came out – big frustrations because a one-time decent score then seemed impossible to beat. But I think this might be another level that has been “tweeked” for the latest release. Couldn’t beat my original high score last year despite hundreds of attempts, but now increased 3 times in the first hour of playing. The skulls seem to break more easily, and the collapsing tower gives more points. Also, it frequently used to time-out even as the tower was collapsing but so far this hasn’t happened now. So it’s worth keeping at it if you can :))
First bird bouncing off the winged boulder down to the cart. Next two birds to clear debris on the left. I like to throw the 2nd stella more to the left and the white bird a little more to the right. That way there is less chance of the tower collapsing prematurely.
Bomb bird into the 4th row from the bottom of the tower. I don’t think it matters if you auto- or manually detonate. Score was 330890 but it’s too high for the leaderboard.

Well this level has certainly had a superpower make over! Up till now I struggled with this level to break 310k but now I’m hitting the low,mid and high 320’s frequently! I was aware of the extra power throughout the seasons golden eggs and have increased by 10’s of thousands there (check it out please!) but now I’m thinking of restarting pig days!
Anyhoo I got my score pretty similar to @angrychicken which was the method I’ve used all along. Stella to left side wing dropping stone then clean up that area with next 2. Bomb into 4th stone up. That actually IMO makes all the difference. Right……what level next? ;)

Now I’m sitting here with tears in my eye because I can’t even try today….my AB Seasons is still broken….Rovio support did respond to my trouble request and I’m sending Crash Data from my phone to them today so I hope they can get this bug fixed – sure it affecting more iPhone and IOS users than just me. For now, I can play basic Seasons in Airplane mode only – but that doesn’t even work for Pig Days – when I click on PD Icon, Seasons immediately crashes even in Airplane mode. It all started with PD 3-11 but it got worse when Tropigal Paradise was released. For an AB Addict this is a miserable thing to happen.

Really! I’m glad to hear Rovio is working on it, but I just deleted Seasons and reinstalled. It’s working ok for now.
That’s horrible @gypsybird, fortunately the crashing issue didn’t effect either of my iOS devices.
Do you happen to have an older phone or tablet lying around to install ABS? As you know, unlike the other Episodes, with Pig Days we don’t have to progress from 1 level to the next, we can just jump to this level. If you were in DE I’d let you borrow old Android phone I let my granddaughters use to play AB
@justpast40, I gave my iPhone 4 away a long time ago (to a relative); I just upgraded to iPhone 6 but the issue started on my iPhone 5. Thanks for the Android offer! I’ll wait patiently for Rovio to figure this out. I did send them a Crash data file this morning.
As mentioned above by @silverbird, I just don’t want to have to delete Seasons and reinstall it…taking a chance on losing all the scores. If Rovio doesn’t come through, I will take that action as a last attempt. Until then…
Okay! Today, 13 May 2015, Rovio released a patch update that FIXED the issue in AB Seasons! I can finally play online and Pig Days works again. And I’m so thankful that I did not lose any of my progress on the Pig Days levels so far. So happy today.
I was coming very close to the puppy with various combinations of what others are doing, but ended up throwing my own wrinkle in.
First bird to the winged pig and down into the cart.
Second bird to the debris on the left side.
THIRD BIRD….This is where I was a little different. I of course dropped the egg on the debris, but I aimed higher so the bird hit the lower of the two short spikes near the top of the tower. Yes, aiming high often causes the tower to collapse (which you don’t want yet) but if it doesn’t collapse, you get lots of points from the partial collapse and the cage can even be totally destroyed, which is a good thing.
Fourth bird…..I don’t remember if I shot at the 3rd or 4th row. I never did decide which worked better.

@justpast40 No, I don’t know how many points after the first two shots, but it wasn’t anything that remarkable. I wasn’t really going after points as much as trying to avoid having debris on the left side, both with the first shot and cleaning up with the second. That way with my 3rd shot causing blocks to tumble (and of course the 4th shot) I figured there would be more points racking up. There are certainly different ways to do this one. I just looked and @e-star ‘s video and her method and mine are very different, but both obviously work. It did take me quite a few flings.

Pretty much same strat except Matilda hit the tower about midway up and knocked off quite a few blocks without a collapse. Like @stocktoad, can’t say exactly which row bomb-bird hit but it was 3 or 4, and tower collapsed straight down (not leaning to the side).
Special congrats to @estar too. After all your brilliant videos, it’s hard to imagine this is your first underdog badge. :))

I did it!! My first time joining in the challenge (granted the tweaked level and the high possibility drew me in) and after a day of flinging on and off, I got a score of 332040 !! Second place for now, me so happy!

Thank you so much @mg516 I feel so blessed with all the cheers I got for my very first puppy and You bet you I am @micromax I like to stay in the shadows and do what i do, so yeah this makes me blush from the tip of my head to the bottom of my feet! never in a million years would I expected to get so much love and cheers from a cross the globe when I first signed up at ABN almost 4 years ago. It is amazing to be able to meet all of you wonderful flingers and get to experience the fun of flinging cute colorful birds!
