Just a quick update for Nokia users running the Symbian^3 OS. The Angry Birds Seasons Summer Pignic update is out now. Â Be sure update via the in game update method and not the Ovi Store, as the latter will wipe your progress (thanks, Andrew). Unlike the Mine and Dine v1.6.0 update — which caused some users some grief (see Metrocedes comment in the forum) –this update looks safe (note, per Andrew, Mine and Dine can now be updated in game as well, which means your progress will remain):
fredi1217 says, “To those who wish to update their angry birds season please go ahead. It is safe to update… it would not delete away all your previous score like what dine and mine did… All your previous scores and results are there… Awesome!!!!”

This is incorrect…
Summer pignic is still not available in the ovi store…and even when it is, updating from the store will still wipe your progress as mine and dine does.
What’s new is that the in game update is now available for mine and dine and summer pignic. This method won’t wipe your progress.

The ovi store is available on the device too so the proper advice would probably be “Be sure to update via the in game update method and not the Ovi Store…”
Mine and dine is now also available via the same in game method (before, the only way to update to mine and dine was the ovi store method that wiped progress).

in ovi store you have to wait until the update shows. if you install the normal app then it will erase your progress.. i think
this does not work for me, i try to update using the update button in game. im able to download the update file, but when it tries to install it says ‘some applications must be closed to proceed’ i click ok then it says ‘installation cancelled’
that the? i dont want to update through ovi store because i lost ALL my levels/eggs when updating to AB 1.6
help ?
Try closing the game then navigate to the update file using file manager and run it.
i tried that, but after closing the game the downloaded file is nowhere to be seen. BTW im using a nokia N8
open menu – applications – office – file mgr. – E-mass memory – download – angrybirsseasons_vx.x.x_update.sisx
maybe you can find the file on C: or on F:, this depends on where your store your downloads

For all those who have symbian 3 if u want to update u can get it for free. When u open the game on the first screen there is an icon with the internet and an arrow. If u press it it will open a webpage where it says if there is an update avialible. It is free. Try it.
currently updating via the game method as above. but just leaving work so will update you guys with what happens 2moro. thanks for letting me know which way works. i would be very annoyed if id lost all my seasons stars!! :-S

On my android in summer picnic none of my levels work when I chose a level

Have you tried rebooting? Also, you must be connected to wi-fi in order to open the levels.
