The best strategy for Ham’o'ween level 1-5 is to thread the Orange bird into the gap between the first two towers. Expand the Orange bird as it is moving rightward to maximize the destruction. The score in the video below is 85,550.

High score strat: do lots of damage… It doesn’t come down to a lot more than this. The orientation of the orange bird seems to play some part in how much damage you do but realistically the only thing you have to remember is not to get trigger happy before the bird gets to the bottom of the ditch between the two structures. The higher scores are gained by damaging/destroying those stone blocks at the ground level. If you manage to destroy the whole structure you will get ~91K. The extra point come from getting lucky and killing the orange lantern as well. Using this strat I managed 92.5K.

Bird 1: Fire into the gap to the right of the small pumpkin. Activate at the bottom of the ditch for maximum points (from what people are saying the orientation can make all the difference).
Birds 2 & 3: 20K points.

Before I never scored over 85k, with that I got easily 88k
About the bird orientation before inflation, for me the best score was with the beak pointing to the left. Pointing downward gave me 88-90k, to the left I managed 91840. To mess with the orientation, just aim slightly differently, few pixels to the left/right will change it as the rebounds between the two structures will put the bird in a different position.
@trishohara always happy to help :) It really does make a lot of difference if you clean up all the ground level blocks. Without even touching the right-hand blocks/lantern you can get as much as 91K with a really nice shot. Happy score hunting!
anybody got the feather on this level ? any tips ?
I did a nearly full destruction with the orange bird, and then the fish on the right side, in front of the (most time still) standing blocks. That gave me a total destruction and the feather
I did it the same way, just use the orange bird to destroy as much as possible then throw the can on the right side of the raised platform to get the remaining blocks.

95,280 with 2 birds. I was experimenting and don’t remember how I did it, other than I recall taking out all the pigs on the right side with the bomb and then taking out the pumpkin with the 2nd bird destroying all remaining pigs.
Yippie for the new bird in the house….just love the orange “balloon” bird…
95930 with one bird
Don’t aim for the pumpkin. Instead, have the bird go right over the pumpkin and bounce off the side of the vertical brick just below the horizontal bar that juts out. The bird will then bounce it’s way down to the base and land UPSIDE DOWN. Found that if it is upside down, it did the most damage both to the left and right, but most of the structure falls to the right which gets the pumpkin and the skeleton for the extra points.
So yes, it does matter which way the bird is oriented when it expands.
Yep. This is a hard one to get higher score. After multiple attempts to raise my score, I finally just now achieved 92790 with the one bird hit in between the two brick towers. The new Orange bird is really touchy! :-)
It’s funny coming back here a year later and seeing what people wrote about the new OB and his “orientation”. I don’t seem to notice a differnce in scores depending on which way he lands? As long as you aim him to land between the towers and wait to tap him until he is all the way at the bottom and get lucky getting the pumpkin latern and skeleton…the scores seem to be the same for me with no difference on which way he is facing when he lands. It also helps to get the two orange pumpkins as well. Then again I only managed 91780 so perhaps there’s something to it?!:-)
Pumpkin on left pillar rolls to left or right at start. Has anyone else seen any (hopefully more) self-destruction. Pumpkin rolls to left and either stops on edge or falls off, but doesn’t break. Roll starts quickly after restart. Possible to get 3*, but may not really help score. Pumpkin will also roll exceedingly slowly to right ~1/10; blocks gap between pillars. May make it more difficult to get 3 stars. Motion takes a few sec to start.
95540 – Yeppers… Timing that OB just before it hits the bottom between the structures is the key. As far as the feather… That was ruff ! Just get as much as you can, then place the can between the remaining piles of debris. Took me a while but I guess that’s what this game is for…just sittin’ around waisting time ! LOL
