Angry Birds Seasons Back to School Level 1-15 Walkthrough

One strategy for Angry Birds Seasons Back to School level 1-15 is to fling the pink bird at a low arch and trigger her bubbles as close to the left hand side of the structure as possible. This should leave a path for the blue bird to hit the TNT, which you should do now (make take two blue birds). The score in the video is 105,280.

If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments, as that's what the leaderboards are for.

I send pink bird in a high arch to come down in the first gap and land on first pig which pops pig and settles at the horizontal wooden plank. This causes the left structure and top half of middle to “bubble up” and disappear. Then second shot I sent with a flat arch and split last minute to cut through remaining glass. I got the tnt and finished the level with just two birds but more often you need the third to finish things off.

@lesleyg – I like your strategy, it worked very well for me. It is a very good idea to send the pink bird into the first gap. I found an easier way to do it. Instead of high arch (which is not very easy) I send the pink bird just above the ice triangle so it hits the ice square with the pig in it, bounces off and lands exactly where you want it to be, on the horisontal plank with the first pig. It does a good job of cleaning the front of the structure and opens space for sending blue birds.

Thanks annach! Using your strategy, I finally got 110,470. (I used to be content with 3 stars…but reading this site does bring out the competitve streak.)

The flatter shot works better, I found I got more points out of the 1st shot by clipping the top of the triangle atop the 1st tower on the way by, most of the time it will fall onto the plank where you want it. I averaged 23-27k this way. 2nd shot needs to go straight through the mustache pig, splitting late. With luck one of the blues goes through to push over the tower over the TNT, but takes a bit of luck to get it to blow.

Nice strat @AngryAdvisor same one I came up with. Great minds again…;-). I also found @annach to be right, the flat 1st shot clears more, providing and easier path to the TNT. Still challenging to get in 2 shots.

@pourpete and G’mabird, annach…Funny…I was just checking my leaderboards today because I’ve finished the recent updates and am proceeding to resume my quest of getting above average in the earlier levels before YoftD update(which is when I discovered the leaderboards of the Nest and began my “Above Average” in every level” obsession and saw that I slipped literally 8 points below average on this level so of course I had to come fix it. I saw where you guys find the straighter shot over the triangle easier where as I tried it numerous times and just had no luck with it! I still find it much easier with the high arch ;-) Never-the-less…I improved to 109310 so now I can proceed to Wreck The Halls..but I think I’ll start with Ham O’Ween since we are approaching the Halloween season…by time I’m done, it will be Christmas Season, appropriate for Wreck the Halls ;-)

None of my attempts gives a score. I either win or fail with a number of stars from 1 to 3. But no score appears as it usually does with other angry bird games. Is there a setting I’ve accidentally triggered? Any ideas?

Very strange. You should have a score displayed.
Does it happen on other episodes?
Which platform do you play on? ( iphone, android, pc )
Also, where did you purchase your game?

By John

I play on an iPad. Downloaded from istore. Cherry Blossom. Piglantis and back to school were routine uploads. Everything going well until I updated with back to school.

You might want to submit this to Rovio. With screenshots. Hopefully, they can debug your problem for you.

By John

No, I made a mistake. It gives me a score, but no ranking. Same goes with piglantis, where a week ago I was ranked at 88’th, then overnight jumped to over 1500th. Now I have no rank.

By DosMJ

john, you are not the only one. Was Rovio responsive as I am getting killed on this snd one module lost an actual stage which cost me a lot of points. Same problem from the same download.

No response from Rovno. Ignored my query

Rovio has been doing a lot of bug squashing in Seasons. They also receive thousands of emails daily. They can’t respond to every single one.

I guess im mainly interested to know whether the elimination of rankings in piglantis, back to school etc is being experienced by all players. Previously when all pigs were destroyed the game would allocate 1, 2 or 3 stars, but also indicate where the player stood in relation to others. This is the aspect of the game that no longer features since I updated with back to school. Does anyone else get the rankings?

By John

Rovio advises that there are 2 different services collecting scores and achievements – Crystal and Game Centre. Unfortunately they stopped using Crystal in August. It appears I was using Crystal, so I lost my rankings.

This was the hardest level to get over average for me. Whew! I kept working with @lesleyg and @annach approach but still could not get much over 104k no matter how many birds I shot over. I finally got over avg today but it took 3 birds to do it (9 birds if you count them as triplets). It would be nice if some of the higher score players would share what they did go get those over 100k scores.

Little tip which worked for me to get close to 110,000. As mentioned above by Annach, fling the pink bird into the gap and try to gather as much debris as possible. Then, while the debris is still in the air, fling the blue bird. This seems to create a lot more damage. I actually used two blues in my score but I reckon there are plenty more points available….

I used the same strat as the video on top, but I shot the second bird and split it in a way it took out both under and above the middle structure. Leaving the right structure left standing. I took that one out with the 3rd bid and got lucky the TNT exploded. It took me a while to get a good score, but persistence paid of I got a score of 110040.

Here is my video.

Similar start, and the key seemed to be getting enough of the wood out of the way with the bubbles, which opens a chance to get the TNT through the glass.

A lot of bugs in this episode. The birds aren’t behaving and the pigs have evolved to a tougher breed. Has anyone else experienced their boomerang birds falling from the sky? Several times my boomerang bird would be “spinning”across the sky then suddenly fall straight to the ground as if he had been shot…are the pigs armed now? In this level my blue birds don’t split…mostly they do but every once in awhile they refuse to go their separate ways.

By angeldjac

my score was 132,430 bug I have NO idea what happened… I tossed the pink bird and when I tapped the screen to make the bubbles, the whole thing exploded! is that a glitch in the program? it has happened randomly in other levels too…

Hi angeldjac. Same experience with my Xoom with Android 4.1.1. With Back to School the problem seems to be the random and unexplained explosions. The problems are worse with Angry Birds Space, which freezes requiring a power down of the Xoom to clear, and wild graphics. Note that I have not experienced any of this on my Motorola Droid RAZR, so the problems seem specific to the Xoom. Also the other apps on my Xoom behave normally, so I think Rovio has a problem specific to the Xoom. These problems have been reported to Rovio by myself and others. Hopefully they can fix this.

What makes this level so frustrating is that all the shots are easily repeatable. Ther isn’t any precision aiming or release, just straight-forward pull back and shoot. I can repeat either or the first shots consistently, whether it’s the high arc or flat shot. The second shot is a no-brainer too. The real problem is having the luck needed to blow the TNT, which is eluding me at the moment. Out of over 100 shots, I’ve managed to blow the TNT 3 or 4 times. I’m not sure what it takes because I’ve dropped birds and ice and lumber on it and get nothing. If I can’t beat teh average soo, I’ll have to move on.
