Angry Birds Rio Smugglers Plane Walkthrough Level 25 (12-10)

One strategy for Smugglers’ Plane level 12-10 is to launch the first Blue bird head-on into the first tower, splitting as late as possible. Launch the next Blue bird in a similar way, but split earlier to break part of the chain holding the boxes. Use the Red bird to snipe any pesky cages that remain.

Right back at ya, Kartflyer. I’m surprised my score has actually been at the top for more than a few minutes. I’m assuming you used two birds, as well. That second shot seemed to be the key; when it rebounded the whole right side exploded and toppled. I will see if I can re-recreate the pair of flings so I can pass on better tips. I appreciate the shout out. Thank you. Aloha.

Try this method for a higher score: first bird aimed at midpoint of first glass tower. Split as late as possible in order to send at least one birdlet into the second tower. I managed approximately 33000 points by clearing cages in both towers with first blue bird, and two of the birdlets smashed through glass in both towers For second shot, follow advice of IamMighty and try to hit that tiny wooden block at left where chain is attached. This maximizes the whipping action of the chain after it breaks, releasing enough energy to pop that last cage with blue bird inside. Of course your other birdlets will need to contribute in order to break the 60000 barrier (before adding 10000 bonus for leftover red bird.) I realize this isn’t much different than the walkthrough, but the key to top score seems to be the clearing of both towers with one bird. Aloha.

Proof of highscore.
Actually heres a tip to actually break off the first tower and also break the chain.
Pull blue bird to 90 degrees with the slingshot and move it slightly downwards and explode it at the time of releasing itself which makes 2/3 of the birds to hit the tower and the remaining 1 bird hits the chain. Actually theres a weak spot on the chain which helps the chain to break only with 1 bird.

The key seems to be to have the chain break at a point just long enough to push the last cage over hard enough to break it. If the bottom of the broken chain extends too far below the bottom of the cage, then it wastes its energy dragging on the deck.

Try as I might, I couldn’t seem to find a reliable marker for launch or expansion of the blue bird, so you just have to feel your way, as frustrating as that is.

My method here is to use both blue birds at about a 30 degree angle, but split early, basically as soon as the leave the slingshot! With a bit of luck one of them will get the cage at the back, and you can finish with just these birds. Have 75090 with this, so best of luck :)

Thanks @laurence for the strategy and @comex666 for the video. Also @lesleyg for the details mentioned below. The key is getting the first bird to hit the chain so the second blue bird can destroy all the glass. Also used the strategy of having the first bird destroy all the left structure and used the second to cut the chain and destroy the right structure. Produced similar results.

My method was to aim first blue bird slightly higher than straight but key is to split them shortly after you sling him so that the bottom two take out first tower and top bb of the split goes to that “weak”spot on the chain which took out all far right birds except the very furtherest one. Repeat this with second bb and wait just a tad bit longer to split him so that the bottom two of the split bb takes out second structure and the top bb of the split sails on down to take out that previously mentioned far right bird. This is a very dependable strat that works more often then not to get an above average score…hope I’ve helped someone, anyone to get a few extra points?

For some reason I never get any feed back if anyone tries my methods or if my post have helped yield a few more points for ya… I am fairly new to the site and have only started posting since the release of the YofTD and have managed to get above average on all levels and high score once as wells lots of top 5 – 10ish…hope I am helping some?!! first bird a little above horizontal, I put the pouch of the sling squarely in the middle of the dark part of the spar in the background. Split at last second and get the Rovio Physics bonus of a bit of acceleration; leveling the first tower and taking out some of the second.
Second shot exactly the same as the first, clears the rest of the right tower and the top birdlet busts the chain near the bottom dropping everything on the cages and crates below. good enough for avg + 5K, and once I found it very repeatable.

I found a method that could push you over 80k, First shot you aim for first tower and you just want to have good clearance of the glass on that tower. clearing some on the 2nd tower is a bonus but not crucial.

Key is in the 2nd shot which is much harder. I split the bird almost immediately. You want the top bird to hit the chain in right spot to break it and cause a collapse. middle bird takes out the 2nd glass tower and the 3rd bird is the key. It needs to hit the square stone block left on the first tower right on the edge to cause it to flip over and roll down. The extra damaged caused should give you a extra 5k. I’ve managed this 4 times so far but each time the result was as in the picture below where the far right blue cage survived, so it is just a matter of getting the correct collapse there. For this go it would have yielded at least 78k, but I have had cases where I could have broken 80k, again the last blue cage being the problem.

My bad for not posting a comment or strat at the time but I was still pretty new to the nest then and was shy about posting.

All I can remember about it right now is that it was a one-birder and that I was astonished I cleared the front structure and broke the chain with the first bird. I’ll take another look at it now and see if I can provide any more helpful tips.

Sorry, cannot come close to that score or even a one birder. The shot was a low arc with an early split so that the bottom two birds took out the cages in the front two towers and the top bird hit the chain just right to bring it down on everything else. I don’t think it was an immediate release as i’m getting better scores now with a quick/short release and the top bird traveling pretty close over the tops of the towers. Good luck everyone!

I no longer have the device I earned that score on and I cannot duplicate it on my current device. My current score was earned by following rockland’s suggestion for the second shot to split right out of the slingshot so that the bottom blue knocks the first stone block over onto glass shards from the second stack.

I have been using a small variation on @crivit strat. For the first Blues, the goal is to free the farthest birds on the right to simplify the second shot. Split early to cut the chain with the top Blue and topple the first tower with the others.
For the second shot, aim just above the square stone of the first tower and split very late. This way two Blues are helping to topple the square stone and one is dealing with the right tower.

Here is the trajectory and the final result.

And this is the highscore screenshot.
