Our strategy for Rocket Rumble Level #8 is to send the Yellow bird towards the first hanging marmosets. Then fling Matilda towards the second rocket, and drop an egg bomb. The resulting chain reaction should trigger most of the rockets, and clear the level. The score in the video below is 110,870.

Hah! I got a one-birder, but unfortunately only got 95K (only 1*) Grrrr! Definitely need debris damage for higher scores. Maybe I should’ve been ready to fling Matilda before the level timed out.
1 birder give me above avg score, more that 100 atempt
Through the ropes above the left marmoset. Chain reaction followed leaving little debris. Higher score is possible as I flung Matilda by accident with few points accrued when she hit the little remaining debris.
For more “consistent” results, you can also skim the plank under the first monkey and 3 boulders. YB can even go all the way to the right and activate far right rocket with varying results of course…I use term “consistent” very loosely here…there rockets are totally unpredictable!
@fenikus worked, thanks. 2 birds for 118K
Used the same strategy thanks for posting @fenikus. This was a fun level because after the first bird it seemed that the rockets were unpredictable as to what they would destroy. Had to use a second bird for cleanup.
120,140 with 2 birds. Just like the video walkthrough. First bird through the top left marmoset, which dropped to the ground with no damage to anything. Matilda dropped egg bomb to the right of the second rocket, and all hell broke loose. I was quite exasperated with this level and was about to give it up, so I wasn’t paying that much attention, and there was this amazing chain reaction. Left with only a couple of boxes to the right. I didn’t even register that this was highest score until I entered it in some time later.
@gramlord Your experience sounds much like mine, but I got the chain reaction with one bird. I also came up with the strategy of skimming the plank under the first monkey, as suggested by @fenikus above, but I also tried to just nick the stones to nudge one of them to the right a little. I guess it worked, because a stone fell on the fuse of the first rocket, and the yellow bird landed on another, I think the third, but I wasn’t paying much attention because I was ready to move on. I thought that the resulting score was good, though until I came to post it I had no idea that it would be the best so far.
For me, I found the “sweet spot” to be hitting the top left swing ropes targeting just ABOVE the rocks, at a fairly FLAT angle and straight in, excel just before hitting ropes. This will give you a better straight shot into cutting all three ropes without hitting other things (like the rocks) to slow it down.
This way can possibility cut through both ropes of first swing and sometimes the third rope the second money is hanging on… Or to at least knock that second monkey off rope and also sending yellow bird in for more damage too. For myself, this strategy seemed to have better results over hitting the bottom wood board on swing.
After first bird….be patient and wait for everything to fall or explode! I have sent in the second bird too soon (at least three different times) when I would of had an one bird score between 118k to 120k. Oops! With this strat, I could get between 112k – 116k often….but also many times I would have the one bottom right monkey left, just snickering at me…..(I would take the next bird and kill him off just for the heck of it !).
I was stuck at 116k, but finally did get a two bird score over 118k but only after hundreds of flings! Kind of a fun level.
I hopes this can help someone? Happy flinging!
1-birder just taking out the plank that the first marmoset is sitting on as described above. After test it all hastened so quick that I could actually tell what happened.
1 birder skimming the bottom of the plank then got lucky as everything exploded. Ive been playing this episode off and on for almost 5 years and I finally got a good result.
one-birder, activate as late as, hit the plank and stones on top-left
here a video with 111k:
