Angry Birds Rio Playground Walkthrough Level #1

Our non-Power Up strategy for Playground Level #1 is to play it cool, simple, and a little silly. Red bird is flung straight ahead, and the marmosets come tumbling down. Not much to it. The score in the video below is 56,590.

Important Note: Gamers on mobile devices are given unlimited Power Ups in the Playground episode, to practice and hone their skills. However, since not all devices are given this option, please abide by our policy of NO Power Up scores on ABN Leaderboards. Questionable scores entered without written strategy may be removed.

Is this on Rocket Rumble?

No Justin – it is part of the newest addition to RIO – Playground is found on the left side under the new ‘shop’ icon when you open up AB RIO. The newest full world is High Dive which sits next to Rocket Rumble. Hope that helps.

Wow, don’t know exactly what happened, first attempt, aiming in the middle of the structure and for now a topscore 61K. There is a screen dump in my album.

Shot like the video – all the wood and bananas (and monkeys) were destroyed, and some of the debris managed to cut off some of the leaves on the right for extra points.
There is more to be had on this level.

The crate went left, and then Red rolled back on the bananas. Cool.

Aimed at the second horizontal wood from the top, it shot to the right and hit the palm tree, red rolled back to the left and crushed all the bananas.

Thanks @burbman! I didn’t get the wood to hit the tree this time, but red rolled back and took out more bananas.

Hmm, every time I punt that 2nd from the top plank towards the tree, it breaks in midair.

And not only does my plank break up in mid air, red’s best attempts at spinning backwards are completely thwarted with all the bananas still sat on the top of the mound…..

@burbman thanks for sharing the tip about which wood piece to aim for it really makes a difference.

Wasn’t having any luck with 2nd horizontal down so started trying to just knick out first leg on the bottom pulling red back with maybe half of full force only taking out the one leg no other wood pieces. Whole structure sssllooowwwly falls to the left. After a few tries got over 60k.

Red bird low, right through the legs, causing the structure to tip left, and roll down slope. 60k
