I used a very similar strat. I fired the boomerang bird backwards and sent him spinning into boulder and structure below. Worked great for a one birder.

The reverse worked really well for me, except that the marmoset in the lower middle of the structure failed to go quietly into that good night, so I had to use the Yellow bird.

Reverse Shot worked great for me as well, giving me the top score. I am sure this top score won’t last long, as there was quite a lot of debris left undestroyed. There is definitely potential for higher scores with this strategy.

@annach btw…nice score! As you mentioned there was still a lot of undestroyed debris makes me wonder if the higher scores, 95K+ were achieved with a second bird for clean-up? I threw a few second birds in trying to see if this might be the case but it’s doubtful… They must have just gotten an excellent amount of destruction with the one birdie.

The Reverse Remi worked best for me too. It seemed to hit the boulder with more force this way. I seemed to get better scores when the bird and boulder didn’t go to far but damage the left side of the structure more completely, while pushing the middle rightward so that the cement squares fall into the right structure.

82,700 by throwing a bloated Boomerang Boy square into the boulder. The boulder went flying across the ramp (without breaking up) and hit the vertical wood piece hard. The boulder dropped and took out most all of the left side by itself with help from Boomerang Boy, but I think the score is due to the three rock pyramid going hard into the right tower and pretty much dissolving the wood there along with the marmoset. The boulder was actually airborne.

Hi @renerika ~ do you remember how you nailed your 95,950 score? Was it using the RRS strategy or perhaps did you discover a new one which you could share?

@admins The Rio leaderboards are so ridden with double counting bird scores and 3k “gift” scores, I’d say Rio is unfit for the Challenge. I have just flagged the top seven on this level. I can’t see any legit way to score much higher than 85k here.

@birdleader, I’ll have to take a much closer look into Rio levels with @kathy. We may have to blacklist others, it just depends on what happens during the vetting process. Sorry, I couldn’t give you all more insight without closer scrutiny.

@Birdleader @Sweetp
The only reason i didn’t question this score was that I’ve always considered @renerika a legit honest flinger, if this was a DCB then I’m sure he/she didn’t realize it.
I don’t think it’s cause for removing The Whole Rio episode from the challenge rotation.
There is no way to really determine a DCB , and as for the 3k present that is random and available to all flingers as it happens in the game. There’s no way to avoid it really.
Let me know what you decide. Maybe we should discuss this in pm?

Hi and thank you for your comment @kathy!

The fact that DCB’s can/could go unnoticed by the player is exactly what makes this so difficult. As you probably understand, I am not questioning the players honesty. And it’s just a coincidence that I gave air to my frustrations on this specific level.

But i believe that because of the DCB’s, the RIO leaderboards have a lot of unbeatable top scores. And in my opinion this ruins the Challenge.

I do understand that this is a difficult matter to deal with for the admins.

Understood @gladvold and believe me, you know me I’m always on the lookout for false scores whether intentional or not, unfortunately I don’t agree that all Rio episodes should be removed from the challenge rotation, in the future I will be more attentive to these type of things. And i do appreciate your input as a long time reputable flinger.
I goofed on this one sorry
@renerika it would really help to have your input on this?

Have to agree with @gladvoid on this particular level. I’ve never come across birds counting double obviously something Rovio fixed some time ago. Just out of interest what was the 3k gift @kathy sp3aks of?
Anyway played for a couple of hours and 82k is my best. For scores beyond 85k either the level has gotten harder or some of these bonus scores may have been added. As I don’t recognise first 6 flingers on scoreboard wouldn’t dream of casting any aspersions but might be good to take this one out of the challenge cycle @karen68 @sweetp.
